I scrambled up and unsheathed my sword. The footsteps were getting closer. "Silver...." I started. He nodded and got ready to fight. And then our opponents came into view.
   They were clones.
"Why did it have to be those?" I complained. There was about 10 of them. "Give or take.... 5 each?" I asked Silver, smirking. He smiled back and nodded. I ran at one and simply stabbed him. He fell to his knees and I moved to the next. She was simple as well. I went through the next two, one with a stab to the stomach and the other with a swipe to the chest and a complimentary kick.
I moved to the last one. I ran at him, but he didn't move. He was smiling. About three feet away from him, I stopped. And then he pulled out a glowing teal sword. I hardened my gaze and gritted my teeth. Well this is new.
I called out a battle cry and ran at him. Our swords clashed together. I parried with the flat of my sword and sidestepped away fast, shedding my sword and causing him to stumble. I tried a classic nukitsuke move as well. Drawing my sword back out as he drew back a few steps, and he tried to hit me with the hilt of his sword. I pivoted and passed forward. He reacted with another parry. We shed swords once again, and I reacted with an empty fade, leaping back and immediately leaping forward again. I slashed his arm and retreated a few steps back. But he got the better of me.
He saw his chance and ran at me, slashing my arm. The one that always seemed to be injured. I winced in pain but blocked it out. I lunged at him and clipped his sword, sending it clattering to the ground. I kicked him down, and he fell back. And then, I stabbed him, once in the arm, where he slashed me, and once in the chest. I blew the hair out of my eyes and pulled my sword into a one-handed Guard of the Woman stance. I looked over to where Silver was and he was just staring. "Oh, thanks for the help." I said sarcastically.
He continued to stare. "That was.." he stuttered. He continued to stare. Getting irritated, I stomped up to him. "Well, go ahead and say it already!"
"That was...that was... OH SCREW IT!" He said.

And then he kissed me.
