(Corrie's POV)
Dear Grey,
I like you a lot. I love you so much, I would do anything for you. I love it when you sit behind me in class and play with my hair. I love your smile. I love how you're so nice and sensitive. I love you so much I want to cry and die and smile all at the same time. I love you so strongly, it's a new kind of emotion.
Love,
CorrieCorrie finished writing and sat up, reading over her neat cursive letter in her purple notebook. She smiled and locked up the notebook in a box under her bed. Everyday she wrote a new fake letter to Grey telling him how much she loved him. She never actually gave him one, she wasn't brave enough, but she enjoyed to pretend to write love letters. She also sometimes even wrote letters from him to her, with him telling Corrie that he likes her. She liked those ones the best. He always said the nicest things about her. She pulled her messy, wavy brown hair into a low ponytail and tapped her chin with her pen. She layed down and closed her eyes, thinking about Grey. She smiled and imagined his wavy, dirty blonde hair, blue eyes, goofy smile. She sighed and opened her eyes. "Gah!" She exclaimed and recoiled. "What are you doing in here?!" Her little brother was leaning over her face, grinning at her. "Whatcha smiling about?" He asked impishly. She sat up and wrinkled her nose. "Nothing! Now get out, Sammy!" She said impatiently. "I'm bored." He said. Corrie looked at her watch. "Isn't your friend coming over soon? Daniel or something?" The 8 year old rolled his eyes. "Yeah but in, like, half a whole hour!" Corrie rolled her eyes back. "Well just find something to do until then, then!" She layed back down and closed her eyes. She felt a little shake on her shoulder. "Well can't you play with me till then?" He pleaded. She sighed and got up. "Fine." She rolled out of bed and Sammy clapped his hands and laughed "Yay!" They went to his room and played dinosaurs.
Finally, the doorbell rang and Sammy ran to the door. When he opened it, his friend Daniel ran in. Their mom was out, so the 15 year old Corrie was assigned to watch them until she got home. She walked to the door to say hi to Daniel's parent, but when she got there, his brother was there instead. "Wha- you- you're Daniels brother?!" She said as she stared at Grey who was in the doorway. He smiled sheepishly, "Yeah. Corrie? You didn't know I had a little brother" She was still in shock but managed to stutter "uh-no." They stood there for an awkward, quiet moment, then grasping her senses, said "Oh! Um, come in." She was suddenly aware that her hair was super messy, and tried to unnoticeably fit it. She combed her fingers through it as they walked to the living room. Grey sat down on the couch while Corrie fetched some lemonade and two glasses.
