I sit on the crowded bleachers of Providence HighSchool in the surprisingly nice gym. Grayson turns around in his chair and searches the rows of students, then smiles when he spots me. I blow him a kiss, making his smile grow, then he turns back around.

My mom laughs. "Just like me and your father."

I laugh as well, then the super loud buzzer stars the game. The boys go on the court, and Grayson stands in the middle for what he called the tip off. Weird basketball terms... ballet uses French words, at least.

I surprisingly get into the game. I make my mom laugh as I cheer for the Providence Stallions, and yell 'that's my boy!' when Grayson makes a basket. Which is many times.

He makes a dunk, making the gym go berserk, and especially me go berserk. I jump up and down while laughing and cheering for a few seconds.

Now I completely get why people love basketball. It's so fun to go crazy!

When Grayson walks out of the locker room after the game (Stallions of course win by 60-35... haha) I run up to him and hug him.

"I didn't know you were that good!" I say, imitating his words.

Grayson chuckles and kisses my cheek. "Now you do."

Him and my mom talk as I play with his hand, his perfect hand. Gosh, I really like this boy. He's so sweet, funny, talented, handsome.

Plus, he likes me, too.

I kiss Grayson good bye and he leans down to whisper in my ear.

"I'll see you at 12:00. Don't be asleep. Okay?"

I nod and he says bye to my mother then leaves.

"What'd he whisper?" My mom asks as she drives home.

"That he's glad I enjoyed the game." I lie. Gosh, I hate lying.

I tell my mother good night at 10:30 and take my shower. At 11:30, my hair is dry, I've my Providence shirt from Grayson and plaid pants on, and I stare at the ceiling, waiting for 12:00.

I hear my phone ding, and excitedly open it, expecting a message from Grayson. But, I get one from Emily.

From: Em

Uh... there's this new video of you going berserk at Grayson's game

To: Em

Oh gosh

From: Em

It's all over the group chat for juniors... have you not seen it?

To: Em

I left that a long time ago. What are they saying?

From: Em

Well, regular teasing, like 'what the **** is she doing, what a loser, etc.' But then there's Bailey..,

To: Em

Uh oh.

From: Em

She said 'Look at that man stealing little wh***. She's rubbing it in my faces, what b****. Faith is one probably one of the ugliest girls I've seen.'

To: Em

Ugh...

From: Em

But then I said 'Is the most ugly you?' And everyone went insane with 'OHHHHH's

To: Em

Ooh that was good... I love you!! You're the best friend ever.

From: Em

Aw, thanks, you too.

There's a knocking at my window, and I smile.

To: Em

See ya tomorrow.

I place my phone down and tip toe to the window and slowly open it. Grayson crawls in then closes the window behind him.

He turns back to me, and immediately crashes his lips onto mine.

I place my right hand on the back of his neck and my left on his shoulder. He places his large hands on my waist, pulling me closer to him.

After a few seconds, I pull away, smiling, panting for breath.

"You're excited tonight, huh?" I whisper.

Grayson gives out a quiet laugh. "I'm always excited for you, my princess."

My smile grows and we sit on the foot of my bed. I play with his hand once again as he whispers a story from his childhood to me, like what we do every night.

We slip under my covers and he rests his head right next to mine on my pillow.

"You've never told me a story about your life as a kid. Tell me one."

I sigh. "Well, let me think of a good one." I burst into a smile. "I've got one. It's from sixth grade."

Grayson rests his head against my chest, and I stroke his hair as I whisper my story.

"We had gone to Williamsburg, Virginia for a two day trip. Me and my best friend, Sydnee, got a hotel room together. In the night, we snuck down to the lobby, when they had just set out the breakfast items. We thought no one was watching us, so we started eating the cereal. That's when the hotel manager came up to us and asked us what we were doing. Since I'm a terrible liar, I said 'girl stuff'. The manager rolled his beady little eyes. "Who's your family?" He asked. Sydnee, the brilliant one of our friendship, answered 'Sir, we are just so hungry. We came from outside, and we are cold, and lonely. Our family abandoned us long ago. Please sir, help us'. He didn't buy it. He eventually found our furious teacher, and we had detention the rest of the year. The end."

Grayson laughs and wraps his arms around me as he snakes back up so his head is once again facing mine.

"You're a little devil." He whispers.

I smile, "I try. Now go home."

He kisses me, then slips out of the window. I close my eyes, a large smile resting on my face.

I love him.
