With his hand on the small of my back, Ward started to walk me back to my room; the whole way there he kept looking down to me to check I was still okay. Not once did I look up to him, I was too embarrassed, not only of the scene outside, but also because I knew my eyes were red and puffy, and I probably had makeup running down my face. I felt comfortable around him, he didn't judge me like the other agents on the ship, he didn't see me as this weird alien this who could do all that weird shit. But I wasn't ready for him to see me this vulnerable.
As we arrived at my door, I couldn't dig up the courage to thank him, so instead I gave a simple nod of the head and stepped inside my room. I felt bad that I had just left him out there, especially since he did help me, and who knows what would have happened if he hadn't stopped me.
When I heard his footsteps fade, I walked over to my bed and slouched on the back board. I saw the notepad on the desk and picked it up, also grabbing a pencil to draw with. I started to draw what looked like a building in New York, it had large letters on the front spelling out 'Stark', making me tense at the thought. I still can't explain this future thing, I mean I can draw things I haven't even seen, and pretty well might I add. I didn't know whether to tell anybody about my new, new, new found power, so I discussed with myself that if I see anything that puts anyone at obvious risk I would tell the rest of the team. Looking at the drawing, I had a feeling that maybe I would be taking a trip to New York quite soon... better start packing!
I got up and as quickly as I could, I packed a bag of clothes and other stuff that I might need and threw it to the back of my wardrobe so it's there when I need it, which I probably will. Once I finished packing I fell back on my bed and as soon as my head touched the pillow, I was out cold.
I woke up two hours later to a loud bang, which sadly reminded me of my last day with my parents. I slowly got out of my comfortable bed and reached for the hand scanner. When the door flung open I was in shock to see Steve stood in the doorway in his leather jacket and jeans. Just then did I realise I was just in my sports bra and shorts. I pulled the covers over my practically naked body and began to blush, which I was hoping he couldn't notice. To my dismay, he saw my bra and my blush and like the gentleman he is, he turned around and closed the door. I ran over to my wardrobe and grabbed my dressing gown before re-opening the door. He turned back around to face me and smiled seeing I was covered up.
"Pack your bags, were going to New York!" He swiftly said, and only left when I nodded my head almost disbelievingly. Hell yeah, I could predict the future! I already packed my bags and now I had extra time on my hands to spend how I wanted, so, I decided to go and practice in the gym for a while. I quickly got on some sports shorts, top and running shoes and made my way over to the gym. When I got there, I looked at the clock on the wall and saw it was 2:30am... wow, I don't think I've ever got up this early. I went straight over to the punching bags and started throwing punches.
When I was all tired out, I looked over at the time again and saw it was nearly 3. I sat on the bench and took a large swig of water. Just then I heard the door swing open and I looked over and saw a unsatisfied Captain.
"You're supposed to be packing." He didn't look too pleased.
"I already did." I replied standing, my small frame almost incomparable to his large stature.
"Really? You pack fast for someone who is staying a month at the Stark Tower." What! A bloody month? I only packed for a maximum of five days. Steve could see from my wide eyes open mouth and stillness that I wasn't expecting the extended stay. He chuckled at my reaction before handing me my water bottle I had dropped and briskly leaving the room. Once I had collected myself, I started to head back to my room, however, I was stopped in my tracks by a nervous looking Fitz.
"Fitz, are... are you okay?" I asked, walking slowly closer to him, I watched as he seemed to ease up when he saw me.
"Yeah I'm fine. We just had a minor issue with work and meeting Skye's dad, HYDRA, alien temple and everything." I barely got any of the references but decided that now wasn't the time to pry. "And you?" Fitz asked, he asked after mumbling a few other things.
"Well, I'm staying at hotel Stark for a month."
