Writing

(A/N. I don't believe the theory that N's a Pokémon, but idk here's a writing for if he was)

"It's over, Ghetsis." Hilda hissed, "I'm going to defeat you...and I'll rip you to shreds for saying those horrible things to N!" She growled.

Ghetsis laughed, "Foolish girl, you have no idea, do you?"

Hilda blinked with surprise, "What?"

N's head whipped up, "Father..." he said in a warning tone.

"Don't call me that, freak!" Ghetsis hissed, "You...girl. I'll bet you think your little boyfriend here is human, correct?"

Hilda raised an eyebrow, "Yeah?"

N glared, "Father..."

Ghetsis ignored him this time, scoffing at Hilda, "I'd hate to be the bearer of bad news...but he's not what he seems."

"Huh?"

Ghetsis chuckled, "Allow me to demonstrate," he said, sending out his Hydreigon. He pointed to N, "Fire blast."

"No!" Hilda screeched as Hydreigon commenced the attack. N moved out of the way just in time, however, and Hilda sighed with relief.

Ghetsis scowled and turned his attention to Hilda, "Attack her instead."

Just as the attack would've hit Hilda, N jumped in front of her and took the attack.

N seemed relatively unaffected. His face displayed pain, but he looked fine. His clothes weren't damaged, and his hair wasn't even singed.

He looked over his shoulder at her, "I am so sorry..." he whispered.

Before Hilda could even begin to question what was going on, N's form changed. Before she knew it, the tall grasshead she had grown to know was replaced by a Zoroark.

Ghetsis laughed maniacally, "See?! A Pokémon masquerading as a human!"

With those words, Hydreigon threw another attack at N, sending him across the room.

Hilda watched in horror. She felt sick to her stomach. This...Pokémon she had thought to be human, wasn't really so. She had cared about him. She had had feelings for him.

She had kissed him.

She wanted to throw up. She wanted to cry. She wanted to scream in anger.

Shaking all her feelings away, she pulled Serperior's Pokéball from her bag, "You and me, Ghetsis." She said cooly.

Ghetsis grinned like a madman, "You're on!"

After she defeated Ghetsis, N stood in front of her, looking human. Ghetsis has been dragged out by Alder and Cheren, who were unaware of N's illusion.

"Hilda...I am so so sorry." He apologized, placing his hands on Hilda's shoulders.

Hilda couldn't look at him. She looked down at her feet, "Why?"

"'Why'?"

"Why didn't you tell me?! How could you let it get this far?!"

N's eyes filled with tears, "I wanted to tell you but..." N lifted Hilda's chin so she would look at him, "I was afraid it would ruin things."

Hilda glared daggers at N, "Well duh! You're a-" Her voice got caught in her throat, "What were you hoping? That you'd never tell me and we could be..."

Against her will, Hilda's expression softened at N's devastated look.

"Hilda...I did not mean for it to go this far. I was going to tell you but I was too busy falling in lo-"

Hilda cut him off by putting her hand over his mouth, "Don't say it!"

"In love with you." N's muffled voice said.

Hilda searched his eyes for any sign of dishonesty, "Really?" She asked.

N nodded.

Hilda removed herself from N's grip, "Ugh that doesn't matter, N! It's...It's..."

"What is it?"

"It's icky!"

"Icky?" N repeated, "You will throw us away because it is 'icky'?"

"I'm not even sure it's legal!"

"Anything is legal if no one finds out."

Hilda laughed with no humor, "Haha. What? Is this all a fucking joke to you?"

N flinched, "No...Listen Hilda." He said, taking Hilda's hands. He placed one of her hands on his heart and the other on her own, "We may be different, but our hearts beat the same. I love you, Hilda. I have never wanted to be human more than I do right now."

The pain in N's voice broke Hilda. She looked up at him, tears flowing down her face, "But it's the fact that you're not that this can't happen..."

Hilda pulled away and turned to walk out the way she came in, "Goodbye N..." she sobbed, running out.

N watched her go. He sobbed.

"Why? Why could I not be human?"
