(A/N. This doesn't really make any sense but lol when does anything else I do/write???)
"Mother...I promise you're going to get better!" Lillie said, gripping her mother's hand.
Lusamine was still feeling the intensity of Nihilego's poison, but was strong enough to open her eyes and speak- though with much difficulty.
Gladion sat at the small table in the room, gripping a Pokéball. He gazed at his sister and mother, then brought his attention back to the Pokéball.
Lusamine smiled faintly, but it soon disappeared, "My children...I am so sorry..."
"That's the millionth time you've said that..." Gladion grumbled.
Lusamine frowned, "That doesn't make it less true."
Gladion set the Pokéball on the table, certain with its destiny.
"What is that, Gladion?" Lillie asked.
"A Type: Null."
Lillie blinked in surprise, "What are you going to do with it?"
"I'm gonna give it to Moon." Gladion answered. An ember of heat rose to his cheeks, but he shook it away. Lillie copied her brother's blush, but made no effort to shake it off.
"I know she an handle it," Gladion continued, "Maybe even better than I could."
"I don't doubt it." Lillie said.
"You blushed just now..." Lusamine said, touching her daughter's cheek.
That made Lillie blush even harder.
"You like her?"
Lillie blushed, "Y-Yeah...a little..."
Gladion made a "tch" sound. He crossed his arms and slouched back in his chair.
Lillie raised an eyebrow at her brother, "What?"
Gladion shrugged, "Nothin'"
"I think you two would be lovely together." Lusamine said.
Gladion scoffed.
Before Lillie could say something to Gladion, a knock on the door caught the family's attention.
"Come in!" Lillie said.
Wicke and a familiar raven haired girl entered. An Alolan Vulpix was nestled in the girl's embrace.
Lillie and Gladion both stood up at the same time, "Moon!"
Gladion swiped the Pokéball off the table and hid it behind his back.
Moon addressed Gladion with interest, "What's that, Flower Boy?"
Gladion sighed with annoyance, "That's not my name. And nothing."
Lusamine chuckled at the nickname Moon gave her son.
Moon turned to Lusamine, "Oh! Lusamine, are you feeling any better?" She asked, walking to her bedside. Vulpix snuffed the woman and recoiled at the scent of poison.
Lusamine smiled, "Slightly...I'm sorry that I was so horrible to you."
Moon forgiving nature took hold, "That's okay! I understand. As long as you know what you did was wrong."
Vulpix exhaled, leaving frost on its trainer's arms.
Gladion walked over and stroked the Pokémon's cold fur, "When'd you catch this Pokémon?"
Moon blushed at Gladion closeness, "R-Right after our battle!"
"Shouldn't you be challenging the league?"
"I wanted to check up on you guys...Plus me and Frostbite here need to train."
"Why name it Frostbite?" Lillie asked.
At that moment, the Vulpix nibbled on Moon's arm. It wasn't hard enough to pierce the skin, but it didn't feel pleasant, either.
Moon winced, "That's why."
