I stole this idea

(A/N. I stole it from PokemonGladion if you didn't know already. Also, this very much sucks. So yay)

Taking a deep breath, Gladion knocked on the wooden door in front of him. As he waited for it to open, he took in the scenery around him.

The door opened and a woman with dark haired greeted him with a smile. A Kantonian Meowth clung to her leg.

"Hello dear. How can I help you?" She asked.

"Is Moon home?" Gladion asked. He blushed at the mention of his crush's name and attempted to hide it behind his hair.

The woman noticed and smiled, "No, she's not. Want me to deliver a message?"

"Oh no. I actually came to introduce myself to you." Gladion explained, extending his hand, "I'm Gladion."

With a light chuckle, Moon's mother shook Gladion's hand, "Stella."

Gladion must've looked surprised, because she chuckled, "Yes Moon and Stella-it was planned that way. You should hear her father's name."

A silence fell.

"Well dear, come on in! I'd love to get to know the boy my daughter talks about so much!"

Blushing, Gladion followed Moon's mother inside, "S-She talks about me?"

"Oh all the time! I can hardly get her to stop!"

Gladion's blush intensified.

"My, you've certainly gotten a lot of sun."

Gladion looked away, trying to think of something to make his blush fade. Anything but Moon would do.

"Uh yeah...I do spend a lot of time outside," Gladion said, "I work at-"

"-At the Aether foundation in your mother's place while she and Lillie were in Kanto." Her mother interrupted, "Sorry, but like I said, Moon talks about you a lot."

Gladion mouthed an "oh" as Moon's mother ushered him to sit at the table. She sat opposite of him.

Gladion shook away his nerves, "Um I'm also here to ask you...um..."

Moon's mother held back a laugh. Meowth, however, let one loose.

Sighing in annoyance, Gladion spat out his words, "Iwaswonderingifitsokayifiaskoutyourdaughter"

A giggle escaped the woman's lips, "How adorable! Of course, dear."

Gladion raised his eyebrows in surprise, "R-Really?"

"Yeah...but," she leaned very close to Gladion, narrowing her eyes, "If you hurt her ever, you will regret it. I promise that."

Sweat covered the back of Gladion's neck, "Y-Yes ma'am."

A smile broke out on the mother's face, "Great!"

As Gladion left Moon's home, he couldn't help but think how similar Moon was to her mother. They shared the exact same smile, and could both go from angry to ecstatic in the blink of an eye. Gladion chuckled and shook his head.

Now, to think of the perfect way to ask her out.
