(Its Zach up there)
Zach's POV
My life seems good. I have a good job. Got myself an apartment and a roommate to share it with. He can be a real pain sometimes but we have each other's back. So, it's all good.
But I feel like there is something else that I need to do. Something is missing from my life and I can't seem to place it. I am so restless sometimes Luke would start giving me the third degree. Luke being my roommate/ housemate that is.
It is the night Me, Luke and a couple other guys decided to have a barbeque at the beach. Strictly no girls! Just some guy time. Most of them have a serious girlfriend, but not Luke and I. I just can't seem to get my head in the dating game. Maybe a handful of dates since I moved.
Can't say the same for Luke though. Girls are lining up or flinging at him. His reasoning for dating a girl a night. I can't find the right girl I want to hang out with.
(Below is Luke)
No. I do not want to think about her. She needs time to grow and find herself. I just need to give her time. But how much time I ask myself each day.
There have been so many times I open up a new message and start typing, but they never get sent, but deleted.
"Hey Zach! Stop moping around and come help with the ice" Luke called from the kitchen. I sighed and went to the kitchen.
"How much ice did u get man?" I stared at the kitchen, the floor was not visible at all. "We are just six guys. I don't think we will need this much for just a night" I exclaimed.
"Don't worry dude. This will not be much in the end" Ofcourse Luke being Luke all cool and calm said.
"If you say so. So where do you need help with? I asked.
"Just cut the ice bags and fill up the ice boxes. I will go put the ones done in the truck" Luke said. Surprisingly he is a very organized person despite his way with girls. If you need to organize anything let Luke do it. Even this barbeque he arranged from scratch. We are just doing what he asked us to do.
After filling up all the boxes I helped carry the rest of it to the truck.
"All right that will be the last box. Do you need me to go with you" I asked Luke.
He waved his hands off.
"No its cool man. Noah and Eric will be there to help with these. You get ready and come soon"
"Ok fine. See you there" I waved and went inside. I think I've got a few more minutes to spare, so I grabbed a drink from the fridge and my phone on the other hand and headed off to the sofa. Sipping the drink I looked at the phone and saw a message.
I nearly choked on the drink.
