Chapter 18

Am deciding on what I am going to wear for my date tonight. I am so excited! I just need to decide whether I will wear a dress or just jeans. Hmmmm I think I will go with a simple dress. Adam loves it when I wear dresses.

So it's decided.

I picked my orange colour dress with pleats on the skirt. I let my hair down and kept it natural. I did a quick light make up and grabbed my sling bag and nude shoes and oh! Sprayed some amazing perfume on me and dashed downstairs.

"Mom, am off to Rina's and then with Adam. See you later" I screamed at Mom and quickly went out the door before she came out of the kitchen. I think I heard something like where are you going, we need help in the kitchen or something.

I walked at a fast pace to Rina while texting her.

Me: am coming! Open the door!

It's her date night too and I promised I will go help her get ready. I quickly reached her place and went right in without knocking on the door. We have been doing this since we were kids. Those days we use to call from the landline. I smile thinking of those times.

"Rina" I called while going into her room.

WHAT!?

"Rina! Why are you lying on bed and eating...popcorn?" I exclaimed. "Did your date get cancelled? OMG don't you tell me that idiot cancelled out on you. I am so gonna kill that.."

"NO NO Mark didn't cancel. I am just waiting for you to come help me. I have been looking at my clothes since morning and I can't do it anymore" Rina seemed so dejected.

I stared at Rina. What is up with my best friend.

"OK that's it. I am here now. You get up this instant and please go and wear the outfit am picking up right now" I took command and shouted at her, while looking through her clothes.

I threw a cute green top with some frill layers on the tummy area and a skinny dark blue jeans to go with it. Rina caught it and beamed.

"This is the reason why I was waiting for you. You are awesome!"

"Enough with the sugar coating. Now go get that thing on please. Mark will be here any minute and I need to go meet Adam." I said while taking out my phone and texting Adam.

Me: Hey babe. Am at Rina's. Could you come pick me up here?

"Rina! Hurry up will you!" I screamed.

"Bitch please shut it! I am just coming out" She screamed back.

I rolled my eyes and thought, so much for the sugar coating. Beep beep goes my phone.

Adam: sure babe. Anything for you

I couldn't help with the smile that appeared on my face. Just then I heard gagging noises and looked up to find Rina once again making faces at me.

I pointed a finger and gave her a look saying just you wait till your turn.

She quickly changed topic.

"So what should I do with my hair?"

"OK you sit right there and I will get started on you" I advised and went right to work. I tied her hair to a side so that its hanging from one shoulder. Told her to wear some chunky earrings and kept her make-up to a minimum, but put a bit more of eyeliner on her eyes.

"You can get up and take a look and see for yourself" I told Rina

While she was admiring her look I got a text again from Adam.

Adam: Babe will be there in 5. Could you come down?

Me: Ofcourse I will be right out

Just as I was going to tell Rina I got to head out she squealed and came crashing into me. I nearly fell off!

"You are amazing Mia. Thank you so much for doing this even when you have a date with Adam" Rina being emotional is something else. It comes in full force just like her bitch moods.

"Ohhh I am so happy you like it! I hope you have a good date" I told her gently as I was pulling back from her.

"I need to go now, Adam is almost here" I smiled at her and started walking out of her room and quickly turned back again.

"You better give me all the details before you fall asleep. If you don't I will come here and rip the blankets off of you and..." I am telling her sternly, when she interrupted.

"OMG woman. Ofcourse I will do that as soon as I step foot into my room. Now go!" Rina shouted and shooed me out of the room.

When I went down and out the door I found Adam right outside looking at his phone. He looked up to the sound of the door opening.

"Hey...." Was all he said and kept staring at me as if I am the only being existing .

I blushed. 

"Hey Babe" I greeted and inched closer to him. I threw my hands around his neck. 

"Why Adam, have you forgotten to greet your girlfriend?" I teased. That seemed to snap him out of the trance he was in and there his cocky smile comes out.

"That's what you think babe. Just wait until who forgets to speak to her boyfriend tonight" he said while pulling my hips closer towards him.

"So what have you planned babe?" I asked softly as he was impossibly close to me and my eyes zeroed in on his lips. Before I could look up his lips came crashing onto mine for a demanding, hot and breathless kiss.

Screw my make-up. This is so much better.

I know too few chapters with Mia and Adam alone ☹
