Chapter 16:Play

*Claire's POV*

"Ready... for what?"

"For this." he said, picking me up in the air and running to the grass.

"Ashton! Put me down! Your gonna break your legs or something!" I said while laughing and screaming.

"Why!?" He said stopping.

"Because I'm so heavy." I giggled looking embarrassed.

"No your not! You're perfectly fine.C'mon!" he said, lowering down so I could go on his back.

"Ermm... I'm gonna apologize now. I'm sorry if I break your back." I said slowly getting on.

"You're not gonna break my back!" he laughed, walking over to the kids. My arms were wrapped loosely around his neck so I wouldn't choke him and his hands were grasping my legs. I was a bit embarrassed because I haven't shaved my legs in like a week. They didn't look bad, but not good at all. We were so close together and we just met! How could this even be possible? The rest of the places that I lived around the world, nobody liked me and I didn't have really great friends like I do now. Maybe this move WAS different.

We walked over to the kids who were playing on the playground. Lauren was pushing Olivia in a baby swing and Olivia looked so cute. She was so happy and she was clapping her hands. Her chubby, chubby baby hands.

"Hey!" Ash said to the baby, waving at her.

Lauren took her out and handed her to him. "Here. Take her. I have a boy to meet." she winked at me.

"Really?!" I squealed.

"Yeah! He said he would be here soon." she said looking around. "Ill be over there." she said pointing at a bench.

"Ok." I looked back at Ashton who was playing with Olivia. " Wanna put her on the slide?" I smiled.

"Uh ya!" he said running over to the slide, making Olivia laugh.

I went to the kids and chased them for a while until I got too tired and I stood off to the side. I was watching them play when I felt a small tug on my shirt and I turned around.

"Hi! I'm Harry!" he said.

"Hi! I'm Claire." I smiled at him. He hugged my waist and said into my shirt,

"Are you Ashton's girlfriend?"

"Nah, we're just friends." I smiled down at him.

He looked up at me and smiled back. "Well, I like you much better than Brooklyn. You actually play with us." he gave me a wide grin.

I didn't know what to say. He was so sweet and before I could say anything he ran away to Sam so they could collect bugs together. I looked around and saw that Ash was smiling at me, so I decided to walk over to him and Olivia. On my way, I saw Lauren and, I'm guessing, Caleb talking and laughing. I gave her a quick wink, but she just rolled her eyes and then smiled.

"Harry loves you." Ash smiled up at me.

"Really.." I said while sitting next to him.

"Yup."

"He's really sweet you know and super cute... just like you." I bit my lip looking away so he wouldn't see me blushing.

" All of your sisters are really sweet too. Especially this little girl." he said kissing her forehead. He was so good with kids and that was HOT. " There. Now she has my germs." He laughed.

I giggled. " She loves you and Harry A LOT."

"How do you know?"

"She doesn't cry and look how happy she is." I said lifting up her cheeks into a smile.

We both laughed. Then there was a buzz.

"Shit! Oops! I mean shoot! Sorry Olivia." he said giggling.

"What's wrong?"

"Mum said dinner got finished early and we need to come home."

"Aww!" I said with a frown. " We should do this more often." I smiled, getting up.

"Yeah! Do you wanna ride back?"

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah, I don't live that far away." he winked.

"Right." I laughed.

"C'mon kids! We gotta go home!" Ash yelled.

"Awwww!" all of them said in sync.

"Hurry! Mum's got dinner ready!"

"Yessss!" Harry said.

"Claire! Come here!" Lauren yelled.

"I can't! Ash and Haz have to go home!"

"Fine." then I shall come to you."she laughed running up to me with Caleb following her. " This is Caleb, Chloe's brother."

"Hey!" I said with a smile.

"Hey!" he said back.

"Can we walk home?" She asked me eagerly.

"Um no! Mom's gonna kill me!"

"He can ride with us." Ash said coming up behind me.

"Hurry Ash! I'm hungry!" Harry yelled.

"You sure? Ok!" Caleb said, walking past with Lauren.

"You're too nice you know?" I told Ash.

" I know." he said with a smile.

We walked to the car and got in. The whole car ride all of us sang along to the radio. It was so fun and I was sad when we got to our house.

"Aww!" The kids said, but they got out anyways. Harry said bye to all of them while Caleb and Lauren were saying their goodbyes by the mailbox.

"Thanks again Ash." I said smiling at him.

"You're very welcome." he said jokingly. "We should do this more often ." he said, his face inches away from mine.

"I agree!" Harry said in the back, along with Olivia squealing.

Me and Ash gave a little bit more distance between us and just smiled at each other. Then I got out, taking Olivia with me. "Bye Ash! Bye Haz!" I said waving.

"I'll text you later." Ash said, waving.

"You told me that earlier." I laughed.

"Right."

"Bye Claire!" Harry waved.

"Bye Haz!" I said, blowing him a kiss.

Ashton drove a short distance to his own house and then once again waved.

"C'mon Lauren!" I said waiting for her outside our house.

"Bye Caleb." she said to him, waving.

"Bye Caleb!" I yelled at him.

He laughed slightly. " Bye Claire! Bye Lauren!"

And with that, we went inside.
