Chapter 12: Numbers

After Home Ec, we said goodbye to Michael, Luke, and Calum because they didn't have social studies with us. All 3 of us, Ash, Chloe, and me, walked together to social studies. The class wasn't fun at all. The teacher, Mr. Harrison, was super monotone and sounded so boring. I took one look around the room and counted 6 people sleeping including Ashton. He looked really cute when he was sleeping.

The bell rang and everybody woke up suddenly. They gathered their stuff and left, except for Ashton. He was still sleeping.

"We should wake him up. He DOES ride our bus." I told Chloe.

"Yea. Plus it would be mean just to leave him here."

I walked over to him and poked his cheek softly. It took 4 more pokes to wake him up, but he woke up eventually.

"Wake up! We're gonna miss the bus!" I told him.

"Shit!"

"You better hurry your ass up! You're lucky you have good friends to wake you up so you won't miss the bus." I told him playfully.

"Right. Thanks guys." he replied sleepily.

"You're very welcome." Chloe said.

We ran to where the bus picks up.

"Dude! Where have you guys been?!" Luke yelled, before climbing the stairs to the bus.

"Yeah?!" Michael and Calum said at the same time, boarding the bus also.

"Mr. Harrison." Ash replied simply.

"Awwh! That makes sense." Luke said, looking behind him to look at us.

Calum signaled Chloe to sit next to him, so she did. I sat next to Ash in the seat behind them and Luke and Michael sat next to each other in the seat next to me and Ash.

I took out my iPhone and so did Ash at the same time. Talk about coincidence.

"So..."

"So..."

"Can I have your number?" He blurted out.

"Sure! Can I have yours?" I blurted out.

"Yeah." he said. We were both red. We switched phones and inserted our numbers. I put me in his contacts under 'Claire <3' and then I took a selfie and put that as my picture in his contacts.

We gave each other our phones back and I saw that he put himself in my contacts as 'Ash :)x' and he also took a selfie and put that as his picture. It was so cute.

"Hey! I want your number too!" Chloe said, turning around in her seat.

"Yea us too! We want yours too, Chloe."Calum said, adding the Chloe part really fast and looking at Luke and Michael, then at Chloe and then at me.

"Ok!" They all handed me their phones, while I gave Chloe my phone and she passed it to each of the boys. They all inserted their numbers and I handed back their phones.

"Hey, Calum. Do you just want to get off at their stop?"Michael asked.

"Yeah, sure." Calum replied.

We all got off at the 4th stop and once we were all out, Chloe yelled out "Selfie!"

We all smiled and took a bunch more with different faces and poses.

"Send them to me?" I asked her.

"Sure." she said already starting to send them. " I'll send them to all of you."

"Mkay!"

"Ok, well me and Michael should start going. I'll text you." Cal smiled at Chloe.

"Yeah. We should. We'll see ya guys tomorrow."

"Yeah, ok. Bye!" Luke said. We walked for about 2 more minutes until we came to a nice house on the corner. "I'll see ya guys tomorrow too." Luke said said walking up his driveway.

"Bye!" we all said together, waving.

We walked once more until we came up to a really nice house with a 'Happy Halloween!' sign on the door. Oh, right! It's October. "Well, this is my stop." Ash said, stopping in front of his house. " I'll text you. Bye!" he said walking up his driveway.

We walked up to Chloe's house and said our goodbyes. She said she would text me later and we can talk about Cal and Ash. She really was like a best friend to me.
