SOPHIAS POV
"My friend from school.", I answered and waved back as casually as possible.
"Oh. Okay. Is he gonna like, come over here?", noah asked.
I shrugged as Luke started walking across the street.
"So I assume you guys are going on a date?", luke questioned, folding his lips.
"Actually, Yeah.", I said.
"Noah, Luke. Luke, Noah.", I said, introducing them.
"Hey man, you mind if I get a quick picture.", luke asked.
"No problem.", noah replied.
They snapped a picture, then I whispered in Luke's ear, "Luke... please. I'm on a date and I really don't wanna think about what happened yesterday."
"Okay, I'll go.", he said.
"Sophia Jackson, chasing men away since 2004.", Noah said.
"You're an ass.", I responded.
"You're not an ass.", Noah said.
"I love you so freaking much.", I said, giving him a kiss on the cheek.
"You have no idea how much I've missed this.", noah said, holding up his hand.
*bleep*
I checked my phone. "Not me.", I said.
Noah pulled out his phone and started typing.
"Who's it from?", I questioned.
"Oh no one.", he said.
"Noah.", I said bitterly.
"Okay, Okay!", he squeaked, the he showed me the messages.
Uhhhh
"Who's Jade?", I asked.
"Just a friend.", he said.
"Just?", I asked.
"Well she may or may not have a thing for me.", noah said.
"wow you're so modest.", I laughed.
"Wait so you don't care?", he asked.
"Why would I? It's not like the feelings mutual.", I said.
Noah smiled as we walked across the street.
"Where are we even going?", I asked.
"I dunno.", he said.
"You know I hate surprises.", I said.
"Yes, I know that very well. But you should know, by now, my surprises are good.", he said.
I blew the strand of hair out of my face.
"So Who's this Luke kid. Really?", he asked.
I bit my lip.
"Sophia, I could feel the tension.", he said.
"He's the one that kissed me.", I said.
"Oh. Wow.", noah said in shock.
"Yeah.", I said awkwardly.
"I just like him as a friend, though.", I said.
"Is he aware?", noah asked.
"Not yet.", I responded.
"Soon."
