Hide and Seek

•Jesse's POV•

We were sitting in the treehouse. It was a beautiful summer day, but nothing to do. No adventures, no fighting... nothing.

"Hey guys. Who wants to do something outside?" Axel asked everyone.

"What are we going to do?" I asked.

"We could play a game?" He suggested.

"What game?" Asked Petra.

"How about hide and seek?" Axel said.

"What are we, 5?" Petra said with a groan.

"Just for old times sake! It's good to be young!" Axel argued back.

After a bit more arguing and comments being thrown back and forth between Axel and Petra, we agreed to play hide and seek outside.

"Okay. Who's it?" Asked Lukas.

"I'll be it." Petra offered with an evil-looking smile.

Oh no. Petra is really good at this game. I have to find a good hiding place. She walked over to a tree, covered her eyes and started counting. Everyone rushed around in search of a good spot to hide. I saw a low tree that I could climb in when I heard Petra.

"Ready or not here I come."

Oh no. I'm still out in the open! Where should I hide?

I stood frozen until someone grabbed my arm from my right and pulled me behind a large rock with them. A certain blonde had helped me hide.

"Thanks Lukas and not a minute too soon." I replied.

"Not a problem, but if you don't want to be found, I suggest you stay quiet." He whispered.

"Whoops. Sorry."

•Petra's POV•

I saw Axel hiding behind a tree. So obvious. I went up to him and he got such a fright, he attempted running away. Good thing I'm a fast runner so I caught up to him and stopped him. Olivia was the next person to be found. She was hiding behind a bush by a stream. Now I just had to find Lukas and Jesse.

Where could they be?

•Lukas's POV•

We've been hiding for quite a while now. I saw that Petra had already found Axel and Olivia. She hasn't even come around to this area.

"Hey Jess. Maybe we will win if we stay here a little longer." I said.

She nodded her head in agreement. I looked at her and she looked at me. We smiled at each other. I turned my head the other way to see if Petra was coming this way. She wasn't so I turned back to Jesse. Her eyes stood out with the green forest behind her. She sure looks pretty right now. To be honest Jess has always interested me. I love her for who she is and because she is a sweet girl, caring, beautiful and is always there when you need someone. I should tell her, even though I'm nervous, I should tell her and see how she reacts to it.

"Jess?"

She looked at me.

"I don't know how you'll react to this, but no matter what...it will be worth telling you but you have to promise to not be mad?" I told her.

"What is it Lukas?" She asked.

"I love you Jesse. You are the only one for me." I said as my face heated up.

"I love you too Lukas. I never thought I'd actually hear those words from you." She said with a smile.

I leaned in for a kiss. We melted easily and I smiled against her lips. We broke apart when we heard someone clear their throat. We looked up to see, Petra, Axel and Olivia. Jesse and I turned red.

"O.M.G. MY OTP!!!"

Petra and Olivia fangirled together. Axel just stood behind them with his mouth open.
Jess just looked at me embarrassed.

"Are you guys going out?" Petra asked.

I looked at Jesse and she just smiled at me. I'm guessing that means yes. (Yes!🤪)

"Yes?" I said unsure.

"YAY!" Olivia and Petra screamed in unison again while jumping about.

Jesse and I got up and we all walked back to the tree where Petra counted so Axel could count. We played the whole day and Jess and I hid together every time.
