•Lukas's POV•

Ring...
Ring...
Ring...
Rin--

I picked up my phone to hear a worries voice quietly telling me to come over.

"Whoa slow down. What's wrong?" I ask.

Olivia speaks to me from the other line.

"Jesse is sick and she refuses to go to the hospital to get checked.

"She's sick? From what?" I ask a little more worried now.

" I don't know. It looks like she has a cold."

"Ok I'll be over soon." I hang up and grab a few things then head to Jesse's house.

•Jesse's POV•

I've been at home for a few days when Olivia comes over and finds out I'm sick. I refused to go to the doctors and now I hear her talking on the phone with someone.

"Jess? I've called someone over to help you feel better..."

"Ugh Liv. I don't need anyone. I'm...fine." I say as I cough.

I can hear Olivia sighing as she walks to my front door.

A few minutes later I can hear a knock at the door and Olivia letting some one in.

*Knock knock*
I sigh and say;

"come in."

My door slowly opens, revealing my best friend, Lukas.

"Hey." He says quietly.

"Hey..." I reply.

"How are you feeling?" He asks.

"Well...I could be better, but I'm managing."

Why didn't you tell anyone you were sick?"

" because I didn't want to burden you with my health. You have your own things to worry about." I say.

He thinks for a minute then says;

"Jess...you will always be my number 1 priority. You will never be a burden to me or any of the others."

He has a small smile on his lips and he is looking right at me with his gorgeous diamond blue eyes. I can't help but smile back at him.

"Hey Jesse. You going to be ok here with Lukas? I need to head back to Redstonia...?" Olivia asks.

"Yeah sure I'll be fine here."

I tell Olivia it's fine for her to go and she walks back to the front door and leaves me alone with Lukas.

At the thought of being alone at home with my crush causes me to blush a little. Ok forget I said that (lol).
" Hey you feeling ok? You've gone a little bit red in your cheeks?"

Lukas notices my blush and I try my best to make it look like it's just because of my cold.

"Oh? It's probably just from the cold."

He nods and gets up to leave. He stands in the doorway and asks;

"Do you need anything?"

"Uh no thanks."

He nods and then sits next to me on my bed again.

•Lukas's POV•

As I sat next to Jesse, we started up a conversation. I thought it would help her forget about her sickness for a bit. Notch I hate seeing her like this.

We started telling jokes as the night went on. The room was filled with our laughter and it made me happy to see that Jesse was feeling better.

As the laughter died down and Jesse started yawning, I told her to get ready for bed.

"Alright let's get you tucked in."

I say as she snuggles into her blanket.

"Goodnight.....Lukas." she says sleepily.

I smile at her as she drifts off. Leaning over her, I plant a soft kids to her forhead. As I lean to stand up, she grabs my hand and looks up at me.

"Wait. Can you....stay here with me? Just tonight?" She asks.

How could I say no? I love her and I'd do anything for her.

"Of course Jess." I say as I sit at the edge of her bed.

She scoots over and pats the space that she left open. I look at her, confused.

"Lie down." She says with a little bit of a giggle.

I do as she says and lie down next to her. After lying down I feel Jesse moving closer to me until she is resting her head on my chest, sleeping soundly. I smile as I start to fall asleep.

*The Next Morning*

•Jesse's POV•

I wake up to the sunlight shining on my face. I groan and nuzzle my face into my pillow.

'... wait... this isn't my pillow!'

I shoot up in my bed and look down to see a pair of blue eyes looking at me.

"Morning sunshine. Did you sleep well." He asks me.

"Oh uh... I mean yeah I slept fine." I say as blush starts to creep into my face.

'Did I really ask the love of my life to stay the night with me and then tell him to sleep next to me?!?!? Damn... BLAME IT ON THE COLD, NOT ME ;-;!!'

"Can I get you anything?" He asks.

"Hm? Oh no I'm good thanks."

We just sat there casting awkward glances toward each other as a heavy and uncomfortable silence fell between us.

I hadn't realized that with the silence, I had started leaning in towards Lukas. He was doing the same until we stopped just inches away from each other. I looked into his eyes and he looked into mine.

Slowly we both closed our eyes and soon... our lips touched.

I felt my arms go around his neck as his arms snaked around my waist. We stayed like that for about a minute before we parted.

He rested his forehead against mine and whispered to me.

"I love you Jesse. With all my heart."

I smiled as I returned his words.

"I love you too Lukas."

Yay another happy ending! I'm so so soooooooooooo sorry I haven't been very active. My wattpad account glitched and I couldn't work on my book. But I fixed it so here I am! Writing stories again. Feel free to send in requests❤
