If the title is too long to fit on your screen, it says: "It's Not Over Until I Say It's Over"

Also, this takes place juuuust after Harper disappears after being confronted by Jesse and the gang!
On with the stories!!!

Jesse's POV

Where'd she go? She was just here! She ditched us to fend for ourselves against four creepy cyborg guys! What threat could they possibly possess for that marauder-looking lady to run off? Guess I'm about to find out.

The group splits evenly, advancing on my band of friends, grabbing ahold of them.

"Hey! Don't touch them!" I yelled as I  catapulted a furious  punch at a mans face, hitting him square in the jaw.

Ow.

Suddenly, he riveted his attention to me.

What did I expect?  Now I was struggling to get free from his  vice grip.

"Let her go!" I heard from behind me.

I recognised it to be the voice of a male.
I started to turn around, but the grip on my forearm was excruciating. In a desperate attempt to yank my arm free, I got socked in the face... and hard... I saw stars frame my darkening vision... and then nothing.

...

Lukas's POV

In a matter of seconds, Jesse was taken out. The sight of her hitting the floor struck a nerve in me. These freaks will pay, even if it's the last thing I do.

Fueled by overzealous bravery, I lash out and free one arm from my captor who tried to regain their grip on me.

"Ha! Too slow!" I chuckle as I dodge from their grasping hands.

They swing punch after punch in my direction, but keep missing. The other captors were now no longer preoccupied by Petra and Ivor. Instead, they were after me as well. At least the other two are free to check on Jesse.

Curse my distractive thoughts! I got punched in the ribs, causing me to double over. I tried to scramble back onto my feet, still winded from the blow, slowly regainjg my bearings.

Of course I retaliated, but, as expected, their reflexes were much faster than mine and ended up catching my fists in their hands.

After struggling some more I decided that falling back and deciding on a better action plan was best. I ran up to Ivor, Petra and Jesse, launching the latter over my back. I sprinted down the stairs leading outside, calling after the others to follow.

When I didn't hear their footfalls behind me, I briefly glanced over my shoulder to pin point them only to see the cyborgs, once again, held Petra and Ivor hostage. At least I managed to get her out of harms way...for now. I'll be back for the others.

I find an abandoned archive to the far side of the Mesa, away from the prying eyes of those mindless freaks.
The building is sheltered by a wall of trees, providing shade and security. This place seems safe enough to monitor Jesse's condition.

20 minutes since I bringing her here, she starts to stir.
I shuffled over to her and waited as she came to.

Jesse's POV

Ugh, my head feels like its been through a blacksmiths forge. I remember a desert, an old lady rummaging through a chest and a bunch of  half-robots.
