•Jesses's POV•I was sitting in my Math class, the teacher blabbering on about equations and puzzles and such. Watching the hour tick by slowly on the clock, I was mentally slapping myself to stay awake. As the minutes went by I was in doubt that I'd never hear the school bell ring, signalling the end of the period.
Packing up all my books, I shoot a glance at the board and notice a due date for a test written in red ink. 'When did he write that?' I asked myself. If I didn't notice him writing that on the board then I may have possibly zoned out? I have no idea what was even going on in that classroom. Maybe I can ask for some help from one of my friends?
Later that day, during lunch, I sit with Axel, Olivia, Petra and Lukas.
We were chatting in the time we had and I thought this might be a good time for me to ask for some help to prepare for the test."Hey guys? Can any of you spare an afternoon to help me prepare for the Math test that's coming up?"
"Sorry Jesse. I can't help today...I have to study for a test of my own." Said Olivia.
"And I have somewhere to be this evening." Said Axel.
I look between Petra and Lukas, hoping one of them could help.
"Can't. I'm busy....sorry maybe another time?" Petra said.
I don't expect Lukas to help either. He will probably also be busy...but that's why I shouldn't jump to conclusions.
"I can help you Jesse. What time suits you?"
I look at Lukas, a little bit surprised that he said yes. He looks at me, still awaiting my answer.
"Oh uh, how does 3 sound? At my place?" I answer.
"Sure. See you later then." He smiles at me and I return it.
"Thanks."
He nods. As the bell rings, we all get up and head to our classes.
•Lukas's POV•
My next class is Science and seeing as Jesse and I are in the same class, I decide to wait for her outside the cafeteria. She joins me and we walk to class together. I must admit, I kinda have a really huge crush on Jesse but... I doubt she feels the same as I do. You're probably thinking that I only feel this way for her because she's pretty? Well if so, then you're wrong. She is the most caring, sweet, gentle and beautiful girl I have ever known. She has been there for me since we met... even if it wasn't on good terms... but she has always had my back and has stood by my side through thick and thin. She... is perfect to me. I may never get the chance to be with her, but hey, a guy can dream.
Being consumed in my thoughts I hadn't noticed that Jesse had been trying to get my attention. I snap out of my thoughts apologize.
"Sorry Jesse. You were saying?" She gives me a small smile as she repeats herself.
"I said...thank you...for deciding to help me later."
I look at her and smile.
"You're welcome."
We arrive at class and take our seats inside, fishing out our books from our bags.
Our teacher announces that we will be working on an experiment using chemicals and acids so we had to handle it with care. We were put in pairs and i was put with Jesse. We were given a sheet of instructions on how to perform the experiment. As the time went by, we had completed all the steps and had finished the experiment. The teacher came by and checked everything, marked our effort, calculations and the result. It turns out Jesse and I make a good team as we both got an A. Class ended and we packed up and headed out the class.
