Hard Times

Chapter 12

Clarkes POV
"Underaged drinking really Clarke whats wrong with you?" she asked, you have to be kidding me I've talked to her 2 times on the phone in the past 4 years, and when i finally see her after all this time this is the first thing she decides to say.

"You have no right to talk to me like that, your a terrible mother you knew what dad was doing to me and when the police called you and told you what happened you never even bothered to called me to see if i was ok, you just acted like i didn't exist and just moved on, and if actually cared about me then you wouldn't have left me and i wouldn't have turned out like this but you ruined me"

After saying all of that i could barely breath, i looked at my mom her face hadn't changed. "Whatever Clarke get in the car" she said. Does she even have feelings i thought, i got in the car and we started driving. "Where are we going?" I asked her " a hotel" she answered. "So your staying here?" I kind of hoped she wouldn't "no your so stupid Clarke, you are coming with me, were staying here for a week and then your coming home with me and Kane"

i would not go with her and leave my friends and Bellamy. " First off I'm not going anywhere with you, and secondly you don't even care about me why do you want me to come with you". We arrived at the hotel and she got het bags out of the trunk.

"Well i mean you aren't wrong, i don't like you but when your dad died you were the only one in his will somehow he had 900,000 dollars in his account and im broke so im taking it" what did she mean my dad was dead Bellamy just said he was inquired.

"What are you talking about dads fine" we walked inside the hotel and booked a room while talking. "What are you talking about your dad died when you stabbed him" i stopped walking Bellamy lied to me i couldn't believe he would do that.

I knew i always wished he was dead but i didn't mean it. "Come on Clarke stop being dramatic lets go" so i really was moving and my mom was going to steal all the money my dad saved up for me to go to medical school.

"Your dad wrote this for you in his will" she handed me a envelope. I waited until we got inside and laid in my bed. I opened the envelope i saw the top right corner and read the date it was only a month after mom left him. I started the read the letter.

I read all of it and started crying i missed this dad my mother ruined his life and she didn't even care. I couldn't believe i had to move i couldn't leave Bellamy i had to something i decided to text Raven.

I wiped off all my makeup from last night but i couldn't change my clothes because all my stuff was still at Raven house. So i just took off my minnie mouse ears, brushed my hair and took off the red shorts. My black long sleeved shirt was long enough to cover my butt but it did look alittle skimpy o well.

I stole some money out of my moms wallet and ran out the door. The coffee shop was only a few yards away so i walked there and got everyone there regular coffees and sat down at a table. 10 minutes later they arrived.

Raven and Murphy were holding hands and walking slowly to me but Bellamy who was wearing that leather jacket i gave him when we first became friends, on the other hand rushed out of the car and ran to me.

i laughed i loved him so such, wait what i loved him this was crazy id only been with him for 2 months but it was true i loved him. But i still couldn't believe he lied to me about my dad. He sat at the table and held my hand Ravenna and Murphy sat down to "so whats going on and who bailed you out" they all asked and leaned in closer to me

"Ok so um my moms back, and i kind of found out my dads dead and he left me 900,000 dollars for medical school" They all gasped and Bellamy tighted his grip on my hand. "Im so sorry you had to figure out about your dad like that but when it happened you looked so sad and beautiful and just didn't have the guts to tell you im so sorry"

"Its fine and thats not the end let me continue" i said they all nodded and i started to speak again. "So now my mom is kind of forcing me to move to new york with her and kane, and is trying to steal all the money my dad left me"

They all gasped again this was definally not the time to laugh and i didn't but they acted like they were watching a teen drama which our life kind of was. Bellamy scooted closer to me "Clarke you can't leave me i need you, we all need you there's got to be something we can do" he said.

"Well in the note my dad said that i should go to court and make sure my mom doesn't get it but i don't have enough money for a lawer right now" they all held my hand. "Clarke we are not letting you leave with that terrible women, we will put all our money together, and don't you dare say no because its to kind we will not lose you and once you get that money which you will, you can pay us back im calling a lawer right now" bellamy said.
I nodded and we all hugged "you guys are the best friends i could ever ask for" i said while hugging them "yea i know" raven said and flipped her hair. Bellamy called a lawyer and told them what was going on, the lawyer said he would get a court order. We all sat down and drank our coffee, the lawyer called back and said we would testify tomorrow.

I asked Raven if i could stay the night at her house again becauseuse i knew they would call my mom and she'd be pissed. The next day i got ready for court i was so nervous, if they let my mom take this money i would probably never see Bellamy or my friends ever again and never get into medical school, i put on my outfit and put my haor in a high bun.

It wasn't really my style but Raven said that her mom wore this when she went to court for custody of raven but then again her mom was 20 years older then me. Raven picked up Murphy and bellamy and we drove there. Once we got there they brought me inside and made everyone else stay outside they all sat on the floor.

Bellamys POV
A hour later Clarke came out of the room, i got up she didn't look happy this must mean they denied Clarke of the money that meant she would move away and id never see her again i couldn't handle that. I was about to cry when her facial expression changed she was smiling i could hear her heels click on the floor as she ran and hugged me.

"Bell i got the money im free from my mom, i can go to medical shool" Raven and Murphy joined our hug. I thought we could finally all live a happy life but of course we couldn't...
