Hard Times

Chapter 22

Clarkes POV
Two weeks passed by and Bellamy started acting weird. He still hung out with all of us at lunch but he seemed so distant. He would stare at his phone and rarely talk. Then when the gang went to my place Bellamy stayed behind and said he was going to the gym.

The first day he started doing that i thought it was fine but he continued to do it everyday. I began to think that he might've went back to his old ways and started cheating on me. The next day at lunch i determined to ask Bellamy what was going on with him.

But he surprisingly was the first one to speak at the table. He crossed his arms and slouched down in his seat. "So i know i've been acting weird lately but i have a good excuse." Everyone was curious about what he would say, especially me. "And what is your excuse?" I asked with a slightly annoyed tone in my voice.

I was honestly angry at him for ignoring me for the past two weeks. He better have a good reason. "So i've been on my phone trying to find any job i could. I've been going to 3 jobs all night to morning to get enough money"

"For what?" Octavia asked. "Ok so this year was our last spring break before college and we were all apart from eachother then we all missed Clarkes 18th birthday. So wanted to celebrate it right. Thats why i kind of got us all tickets to Hawaii"

"O my god are you serious? were going to Hawaii!" Octavia sceamed and Raven, me and Octivia jumped on top of the table all huddling together screaming. Bellamy and Murphy laughed. Everyone stopped eatting and turned to look at us but we didn't care.

Octavia and Raven stayed on the table jumping up and down but i finally got off and hugged Bellamy. "You worked all night and day to get us tickets to Hawaii just to celebrate my birthday. Your so crazy but i love you so much, thank you." Bellamy smiled and kissed my forehead.

"When are we going and coming back?" Murphy asked. "We're leaving tommorow morning and we're going to come back on Sunday night" Bellamy answered with his arms wrapped around my waist. I looked at him "but thats Tuesday but about school?"

I know i shouldn't even be asking. We get to skip school to go on vacation, who cares right and Bellamy worked his ass off to get these tickets but if i missed even one day of school which i never have done before,i could risk my chances of getting into medical school.

"Don't worry princess i know you don't want to risk your chances to get into medical school so i went to all your classes and got all the work you have to do this week" he told me then went to his backpack and handed me a stack of papers. "Aren't you my knight in shining armor" i smiled and put the papers in my backpack, then pressed my lips against his.

Octavia hopped off the table and stuck her toung out. "I love you guys but like stop please, no one wants to see that." We both laughed and stopped. Then the bell rung for 5th period and we all walked to class.

Usually school went be quickly but after hearing the news about the trip to Hawaii it couldn't go bye any slower. I looked at the clock and counted down seconds until school was finally over. Then when it was i met up with everyone to go over the plans for tommorow and headed back home by myself to pack.

I packed sundresses, sun screen, flip flops, sunglasses, a couple bikinis, and all my work from school. Then i jumped on my suitcase until everything fit and zipped it up. The rest of the night i talked to Bellamy on the phone while starting on all my school work.

The next day i got up at 4am while it was still dark and made my way to the coffee machine. The flight wasn't until 9am but i still had to get ready, pick up Raven and Murphy and drive to the airport. I sipped my hot coffee and relaxed on the couch for 15 minutes before putting my suitcase in the car. I didn't bother to change out of my pjs.

I drove to pick up Raven and Murphy while yawning and listening to music, they both had there own cars but never wanted to drive them. Bellamy and Octavia were going in his truck and we were going to all meet up at the airport.

I picked them up and put there luggee in the trunk. Then headed to the airport. Once we arrived i parked my car and got out my luggee while Murphy and Raven stayed behind to talk. Bellamy and Octavia were waiting for us outside of the airport. I kissed him as a hello without talking because i was still so tired and didn't want to talk.

Raven and Murphy met back up with us and Bellamy give us our tickets. Then we went through security and onto the plane. I put my luggee in the overhead bin and sat down. It was going to be at least an 6 hour flight from California to Hawaii. So to pass time by Bellamy and i played card games. But he started to yawn and drifted to sleep.

So i got out all the work from school i needed to do and got comfortable. Finally i finshed and stretched still in my seat and laid my head on Bellamys shoulder. I fell asleep. Hours later i woke up from yelling "COME ON GUYS. WE'RE HERE, GET OFF YOUR ASSES WE ARE WASTING TIME" Octavia said.

Bellamy rubbed his eyes and i got off his shoulder, then he got our luggee. He grabbed my hand and lead me out of the plane. We called up a uber and headed to the hotel Bellamy booked. I thought the outside was beautiful but then i got to me and Bellamys room,  and it was breathtaking. There was a large window that showed the view of the ocean. I had a filling this was going to be one of the best weeks of my life.
