I had dozed off, and woke up to see Vera next to me, her face looking worried. I was too tired to move, so I just looked at her. She smiled when she saw me, and patted my hand.
"Thank goodness you're awake, I never imagined that Chelsie would hate you so much she would attack you and wound you," she said.
I opened my mouth, and shakily said, "Is sh-she in here?"
She shook her head, and whispered, "She may have used a recovery spell."
I looked at her bewildered. Now magic exists too? Was this school becoming a witch's magic school? She saw my confusion and laughed.
"I found out you can use your instincts magic to heal, you can also use it to strengthen your power, but that's all you can do. So, there's no magic spells, don't worry."
I nodded, so when I was almost dying, I had used the last drop of my instincts magic to give me that surge of power to defeat Chelsie?
"It's currently almost 10:30, 30 minutes after lights out, so the school is quiet and the halls are empty. But Kate, Jasper found out something after school, and he told me, and I'm not sure if it's good news or bad news."
I prepared myself, and she looked me in the eye.
"Jasper found where the devil wolf was hidden, and it's not that far from school."
I felt as if my eyesight had sharpened, and my blood was rushing so fast. I felt my lips draw back, and a growl rise in my throat. I had no idea why this was happening, and I could also feel myself scratching the sheet that covered the bed I was in.
"Kate, calm down, you don't want to open your wounds," she said, grabbing my hand. She gave me a mirror, and I looked at my reflection.
I was covered in scratches, a couple across my forehead, some at my cheeks, and my lip was bleeding. But worst of all was my ear. It had dried blood clotting around it, and it was wearing two bite marks that looked deep. I remembered the feeling of my ear ripping off when Chelsie bit it.
I hated the way I looked. My usual long, soft, brown hair was a mess and dirty. My back was in so much pain and my body was so sore I couldn't sit up.
"See, Chelsie is dangerous, and her whole family will be worse. But that's not all, you will also have to face the wolf himself. I suggest that you train, and get your strength up, but not now. You should rest," she gently said, and I nodded. I would have to practice fighting, but not by myself. I would have to learn to fight with Vera, Japser, and Jax, because all of them would help me.
Vera got up, and left. I was left to look at my surroundings. I was in a bed closed off by white curtains for privacy, but all of the curtains were open because I was the only one here. There were four more beds, and in the front of the room was a large counter top with lots of drawers, a computer, cabinets above it, and a large chair. There was a sink next to it.
The nurse had left, and it was quiet. I decided sleep was a good option, and drifted off into a deep slumber.

My eyes fluttered open to see sunlight streaming down through the window. A large woman was standing next to me, her honey-colored eyes shining. Her dark brown hair was pulled back into a bun and she was in a white shirt and pencil skirt with the alligator mascot on the corner of her shirt.
"You look better today!" she shouted in a chipper voice.I nodded, and she gave me my breakfast: chicken soup. It was good enough, and I got informed that I would be released in a couple of days. I was happy, but I was dying to start training. I wanted to get stronger, and faster, and beat Chelsie and the devil wolf.
