He stares at me, and I shudder. He just... stares.
"Are you Louis?" Vera breaks the silence.
He slowly nods, and looks at the others.
"What are you here for? New servants ready to convince me to side with my family? Willing to twist the truth so it sounds like what they do is a good thing? I don't care, because I don't side with the wrong. Go away," he mutters before turning around.
We feel the wall shake and I turn around to see the door close. I sigh, and clear my throat.
"No... we came here all the way from Alkrok High School after we heard that Chelsie was coming here," I start, and this makes Louis turn around and look at us. "I am Kate Rayson, and holder of the cheetah instinct. This is Vera, holder of the brown spotted owl instinct. This is Jasper, holder of the wolf instinct. This is Jax, holder of the leopard instinct. We know you, Louis Jalstone, as the holder of the snow tiger instinct and how you had heard about the legend of the Kakos Lykos."
Louis stands up, and walks over to us. "How do you know?" he asks.
"Chelsie was my frien- um, acquaintance. She told me about how you had attended Alkrok and had read a book about the Curse of Jalstie. I read the book, and also read another book that went into detail about the legend of the Kakos Lykos," I explain, and he nods.
"So... are we allies? Enemies? What have you come for?"
I think for a second, and get an answer.
"We're allies. Me and my group of friends have to stop the Kakos Lykos, who is escaping from his cave in two months. We need info, both on how to stop it and what your family is planning."
He smiles, and nods.
"I got an idea. You help me, and I'll help you."
I nod, and ask him how.
"I need you to help me to get out of here," he says. Easy enough. We all nod, and we look at the door.
"I had tried escaping before, but there had always been a guard outside. But today, and likely for two months, there won't be any. Not with my family needing virtually every person they can get their hands on. They'll probably come get me, too."
I look at him, puzzled, but he shakes his head and says he'll explain if I get him out of the room. Vera pushes the wall to the left, and the door slides.
"You can only lock it from the outside, so right now it's not locked. Freedom, here I come!" Louis excitedly says.We walk out, and Louis takes the lead. He runs towards the gate, and turns left, leading us into a garden.
"Nobody will be here," he says, and sits on a bench, and motions for us to sit on the other benches around him.
"Okay, I should first tell you what my parents are planning. They heard my sister tell them that the wolf and the cheetah had met, so they soon set off to prepare to fight you guys. They decided they needed to end the legendary instincts blood line, so they collected people related to you that may have the blood and instincts magic. This already sound bad, right? But it gets worse.
"Not only did they literally kidnap your relatives, but they also took the people of Jalstie and people that have instincts magic and are brainwashing them into becoming their minions. You see, to destroy a legendary instincts holder, you need to use a heck a lot of instincts magic to cast this spell that takes their life away. When you awaken your instincts magic, especially legendary blood lines, the person becomes stronger and near invincible, unless you don't know how to control your instincts magic. Chelsie is very well at control, and when she fights, even if she gets wounded, she heals very quickly, which makes her hard to kill.
"They are going to use these brainwashed people to subdue you, and then sacrifice them by zapping their instincts magic, which obviously kills them, and will cast the spell on you. My sister will lead this attack, and they hope after they defeat you, the devil wolf will arise and come to Jalstie, where he will give the promised heir, and they hope Chelsie will marry him. They have plans of taking down the king, and making the heir king himself. The legend said he is powerful, very powerful. His rule could mean total chaos for the world."
After he finished speaking, we stayed silent. Very, very silent.
"Are you saying that my parents are also being brainwashed into becoming minions?" I ask.
He nods. "All of your parents are."
I ball my fists, and stand up.
"Guys! We have to stop them!" I say, and they nod.
Louis stands up, and puts his hand on my shoulder. "Not yet, they won't go through with this plan until the day before the wolf is released."
I look at him, and I ask, "What do we do until then?"
"Remember my deal? If you guys sneak me out everyday, we'll come out here and train. I'll teach you the things you'll need to do to stop them. I know their weaknesses, and we'll strengthen yours. I know spells that'll make destroying them and the devil wolf once and for all easier. Do you accept?"
I look at Vera, Jasper, and Jax. They nod, and I reach to shake hands with him.
"I agree."
So this must be a little confusing.
Basically the Jalstones grew tired of sitting around and having to fight the cheetah and leopard all the time. They decided the best way to end this and win once and for all was by killing all people associated with the enemies's bloodlines (AKA All of Vera, Jasper, Jax, and Kate's relatives) so that on the future, they wouldn't have a child with powerful instincts magic to destroy then. They also wanted to have an army with instincts magic so they could use their power to kill the enemies, and then use the promised heir to take over the world and live a chill life where they are in power and everyone else is in misery.Typical bad-guy stuff, right? Except Louis doesn't want to do that. He wants to be a good person.
Hope that cleared up some stuff.
