It was staring at the school gates, and once it turned around to get a better view of its surroundings, I got a better look at it. I probably should call it 'he' since it does have a gender, but I doubt he deserved it after what he'd done before.
In his wolf form, he was pretty large. He had a circular and big face, a long, lean and tall body, and fur as black as midnight. His ears were big, and twitched a lot. His tail was long but thin, and his eyes were the scariest part.
He had two eyes that gleamed yellow, and sharp black slits as his pupils. They had a mixture of red in the mix, and they glowed showing his hunger for power. His claws were unsheathed, and they were long and sharp.
He turned to where we were hiding, and laughed out.
"Ha ha ha! What are you wimps doing, hiding out there? I can smell you, so come out!" he shouted. We didn't move, but we heard rustling from behind him.
Out came... Chelsie, obviously.
She faced him in her human form, and bowed.
"Hello."
"Oh, is this my...great-great-great stepdaughter?" he growls, and she tilts her head.
"I do not know, but I am here to serve you along with my family."
On cue, they came out, and the waves of the people they had under their control.
They also bowed, but then Chelsie's mom whiped around and said, "We should start, where are they?"
By then, me, Vera, Jasper, Jax, and Louis had all positioned ourselves around them, trapping them.
Then, on Vera's hoot, we attacked.
I charged for Chelsie's mom, who turned into her snow tiger form and fought back, lashing out. Her claws raked my shoulder, so I clawed her back on her chest. I was younger, and quicker, so I dodged most of her attacks. However, I didn't have the power to strike hard, so my attacks were feeble. After much fighting, she was slowing down, but was still powerful.
I got the idea that striking her eyes would be the best, and easiest. So, while she was turning around to strike me when I jumped back, I raked my claws on her face. She whimpered out in pain, and I saw hot, sticky blood leaving tiny droplets on the floor. She tried to attack, but had trouble aiming. She slowed down, and eventually gave up.
She turned into human form, exhausted, and I left to help Jax take control of the mass of brainwashed people when somethig caught my eye. It was green, and very shiny. It was a gem, and it was fashioned on Chelsie's mother's belt, small but noticeable.
It was glowing, and swirling with strange red colors. I looked over at the army, and saw all of the civilians had small mini-versions of these gems on their clothes or skin.
Aha!
She was using these gems to control them. All I had to do was break the large gem.
I reached down to pick up the gem when... a hand hit me and bowled me over. I stood up, shocked. Then, I saw the most beautiful person I've ever seen before.
Short blond hair, hazel eyes, sharp jawline, and arched eye brows was what I was staring at.
"Wait... you're the... the... the... heir," I stutter, and he shakes his head.
"Of course! Now back off! If you do, I'll make your death quick and painless, if not, I'll slowly torture you," he warned.
I shook my head, and charged at him. He turned into this weird tiger-wolf hybrid, and charged towards me, too.
His body shape was that of a wolf's - long and lean, but his fur pattern was strange. His fur was white, and then faded into a smoky gray. Black stripes covered his body, and he looked like a storm cloud trying to be a zebra.
It wasn't funny. He looked quite intimidating, in fact. He clashed into me, and I fell. He got up, and walked over to me. I tried to flee, but he caught my tail in his mouth. I turned back and slashed at his muzzle, and he released me. Before I had a chance to run again, he pinned me down. I felt defeated. This battle would be over for me when it had just started.
I closed my eyes, preparing for death, but it never came, and I heard some sound: his voice.
"I actually don't want to do this... in fact, I hate what I'm doing."
I felt weight get off of me, and then I rose onto my paws, and turned around to look at him. He was in his human form, and looked frustrated.
I was confused, and looked over at Jasper and Vera. They were fighting the Kakos Lykos, and he seemed to be toying with them, and not actually fighting. Maybe he was waiting for me to fight him, and using them to occupy himself. Jax was running from the mob, trying not to hurt the innocent people. Louis was battling with Chelsie, keeping her back, and boy was Chelsie mad that her own brother was fighting her.
I looked back at the heir, and asked, "Hey, what's your name?"
He smiled a little, and said, "Sage."
I liked that name, I thought it suited him. Then, I went back to the important topic.
"Why didn't you kill me?"
He sighed.
"Like I said, I hate what my father is making me do. He promised me of great power and what I'd have to do when the time came, and I was excited. Being trapped in there for years with him slowly sapped my excitement, and eventually I started realizing what I wanted wasn't to take over the world and kill lots of people. No. I want to live a normal life, and make my own decisions. Besides, who would want to marry an evil witch like her," he pointed to Chelsie, "when I could have someone as beautiful as you."
I blushed, and quickly waved away the thought.
"So, what are you going to do now?"
"Well, I think I should help you get rid of my dad."
