My lips still tingled as I stood in that spot staring off at the party and the swarm of people where I last saw him.
"That was some scene,"
I whipped around to see Charlie coming down the stairs with more cups in her hands and under her arms. She has a small glint in her eyes that could only be described as mischievous. She was giving me a wicked smile and all I could do was blush at her.
"He's gone,"
Was what decided to come out of my mouth as I glanced back at the party.
"Well lets go look for him,"
I gave her a smile and I couldnt help but have that small smirk tugging on my lips,
"Like the adventure we always wanted."
She gave me a firm nod as she broke into a million dollar smile. I laughed as I grabbed some of the cups from under her arm and headed to the tables and the bar where my oh so trusted Uncle Dave was.
"Hey Uncle Dave!"
"You cant have alcohol so stop asking."
Uncle Dave whined and sighed as he turned around from putting away some drinks. When he saw Charlie and I standing there, he gave us a warm smile.
"How is the birthday girl doing this fine evening?!"
He asked joyously as he came around the bar to come give me a hug. I squeezed him back, but when he started to let go, I saw two boys sneaking around the corner and towards the bar, most likely trying to snatch a bottle of alcohol. I let go of Uncle Dave and smiled at him
"Good! Thank you for asking!"
I said with happiness oozing out of my being and in my voice. His smile softened but than he smirked.
"Better drop that bottle boys!"
He hollered and I couldnt help but start to laugh. I was shocked even though I wasnt showing it, he was facing me the whole time, and I never gave him a tell sign they were behind him. His smirk widened as he turned around and found Captian America and Iron Man both with a bottle of clear liquid. I was still laughing, and so was Charlie, as my uncle walked up to them, snatched the bottle out of their hands, placed it back, and began going off at them. Charlie nudged me but when I looked at her, she was looking to her right, so I followed her gaze and saw about five Spider-mans in the same vacinity.
Great, this isnt going to be easy.
"Bye Uncle Dave!"
I shouted as we started to move away from him and the two boys, but he was so engrossed in his reprimanding that all he did was do a weird hand wave. I chuckled slightly as Charlie grabbed my wrist and we started to navagate through the throngs of superheroes and villians. I even saw a Darth Vadar. We ended up next to all the Spidermans. Charlie turned me so I faced her and put her hands on my shoulders.
"Okay, first thing is first, what can you tell me about your Spiderman? Anything that is unique or that stands out?"
I started to reflect back to it happening but nothing struck me as odd, the only thing I can remember is all the tingles.
"I got tingles in my stomach from his touch"
Once I said it, I realized just how cheesy and cliche that sounded. This realization, and the look Charlie is giving me, made me blush.
"Okay soo..."
She started to think as she let go of my shoulders and crossed them over her chest with one hand propped up, tapping a finger against her lips. It stayed like this for a few minutes before she jumped and smacked my arm, making me squeal in fright and jump back. My heart was still racing and my breathing was erratic as she explained her sudden epiphany.
