Chapter 8

Chapter 8: Tent problem

It was morning and not a regular morning, a morning of a field trip with our biology class. I wasn't thrilled because of it. We are going to the forest, and we are going to stay in tents.

I hate sleeping outside and especially in tents. I don't even know how to make one. I have never done it. Or light a fire. I just wanted to pretend sick or something. But I couldn't. I have never missed a class, and I would have to listen to Jungkook's complaints that he had to do everything by himself and didn't make me stay in the dorms.

Last night I packed everything I needed. We get the tents and everything from school. Our teacher wanted to give us more space to do our project. He thinks there aren't enough species in our city and decided to bring us to the center of the environment.

But I knew what was going to happen.

''Okay, class, gather up here. To make my job easier, I have made groups. Each tent is for two people only, and one fire is for two tents. And you'll be working with the same group the whole trip. I will tell the groups when we are there, but for now, I tell you who you'll sit with on the bus. I can keep up with who is here and who is not,'' The teacher said.

I guessed that this would happen. And I'm pretty sure I know with whom I'll be and sit the whole trip.

''The groups will be two girls and two boys. And no, before you young men get excited. The girls will sleep in the same tent and the boys in the same. Not with the pairs, I'm about to tell,'' He continued.

''Okay, so, Jackson and Lisa..'' The teacher started. ''... and the last, Jungkook and Y/n, Jimin, and Nayeon.'' He ended. ''You'll be sitting and being in the same group with your project partner. Now everyone is on the bus so we can leave!

Yeah, this was what I expected. I get to sit next to Jungkook for the whole trip there. It will be a long trip. Well, one thing is okay, Jimin. He was so nice to me last time, so maybe we can talk more and get to know each other during this trip.

I went on the bus once I got my bags loaded. I looked around inside the bus to look for Jungkook. I saw him coming in before me. And since I need to sit next to him, he must have taken our seats already.

Finally, I found him, but his face was low, so I could only see his hair. I struggled my way on the small bus and sat beside him. He didn't say anything. Not even hello.

Yup, a loooooong trip.

Finally, the bus reached its destination, and we were exhausted from sitting for several hours on the bus. How can you even get so tired of just sitting? Shouldn't it be another way around?

''Okay, after you have gotten out of the bus, each pair grabs a tent with them. And usually, gentlemen, you're going to carry them.'' The teacher called us out, and I heard some guys murmuring.

Oh please, carrying some tents isn't even big of a deal.

When I exited the bus, Jungkook came after me, but I was looking for Jimin and Nayeon. When I saw them, they were looking for us as well. I walked to them and smiled sweetly.

Nayeon is a sweet girl, even though I have never talked to her that much. She is always so caring to everyone, so I looked forward to talking to her more.

''Okay, let's go and put up these tents. I want food,'' Jungkook whined behind me, and we walked behind the other class to the campsite.

After a few minutes, we got the tents up. It wasn't so hard after all. The guys sat on the ground and took a little snack.

''Y/n, if you don't mind, but I will go to sleep in another tent,'' Nayeon started, and I looked at her. Another tent? What tent? Whose tent? Jimin and Jungkook also had their ears on this conversation.

''But the teacher-'' I started.

''Would you think I'd sleep in the same tent with you when I can easily sleep with my boyfriend,'' She laughed. I was way out of this. Does she have a boyfriend? Who?

''What? But the teacher said you can't sleep with a guy in the same tent?'' I tried to make her change her mind because I'll not sleep alone in the middle of the forest.

''Well, obviously, I will sneak there when everyone is sleeping,'' Nayeon laughed.

''But I-,'' I said, but she shushed me and walked away. Okay, so that was the end of getting to know each other.

I turned to the guys. ''What do I do now?!'' I panicked.

''What do you mean, do you need her beside you while sleeping?'' Jungkook scoffed.

''Yes, I do need someone. I hate sleeping alone, especially in the dark forest!''

''What can we do? Nothing, be a big girl honeybutt, you will survive,'' Jungkook chuckled.

Jimin, on the other hand, was silent. He didn't want you to sleep alone and be afraid. So he got an idea. ''Why won't you sleep with her?'' He asked and earned ''What!?'' from both of us.

''Yes, you are partners anyway in this course, so if you get caught, you can say you were doing the project, easy as that,'' Jimin smiled proudly.

There is no way I'm sharing a tent with him!

But what choice do I have?
