The thunder

''Are you serious about this? I can't be with him in the same tent!'' I yelled. Even though I don't mind but except I do. He has been cold towards me since I asked about him hitting the girls for fun.

Wouldn't it be awkward for him and not me? He should be the angry one here and not me. I'm interested in his personality, and this would be an opportunity to apologize, but I don't want to seem as if I'm desperate.

And for sure, there won't be any peace if he still avoids me.

''I honestly think it is a good idea if you seriously can't sleep without someone in this forest. It's your choice anyway,'' Jimin shrugged. ''I mean, what would happen here? Can't you sleep alone?''

''There could be a bear out there!'' I whined. I heard Jungkook laughing at me, and I just glanced at him to be quiet. And he did, to my surprise.

Neither understood what I tried to say because they kept unpacking and making the tents ready. I decided to look for snacks.

I saw Nayeon with her boyfriend from a distance. I seriously didn't know she had one, and I'm pissed right now. She is not my friend, but we often do a group project with her and Jimin, so I know her a little.

I also saw others talking and having fun with their friends, and I just sighed as I took the food. I have never found anyone who I could call my best friend. I had one, but we went to different ways after high school. She went to college. I'm always just hanging with the girls in my class or alone.

JIMIN's POV

As Y/n left to get the food, I turned to Jungkook, who was busy putting the tent together.

''Tell me one reason why can't you join her in the tent for two nights?'' I asked. He stopped what he was doing and looked at me with a confused face.

''Since when you became such a softy? I don't like her. She is too close to me and thinks she owns me. She thinks I'll open everything up to her,'' He scoffed.

''Maybe she just tried to get some contact with you? Do you think she is trying to hit on you? You know exactly when a girl is trying to get you in bed. Has she shown that?'' I asked.

Jungkook remained silent. Yes, she hasn't. And I have noticed it too. I have been Jungkook's friend enough to see when a girl is trying to get it.

''If you don't accompany, I will,'' I throw the line at him. I seemed a little troubled by that. But he didn't give me any response to that. Hah, I hit the sensitive spot.

Y/N's POV

I returned from getting the food, and the guys had already put the tents up and the fire. Everything was ready for lunch before we would start the thing we came here for; taking photos of the plants, trees, and everything.

I wasn't thrilled to leave to take photos with Jungkook after that little incident, but the teacher was watching us.

''Where do you want to take the pictures?'' Jungkook suddenly asked as we were finishing up our lunch. Wow, is he asking that? Or is it even curious about what I want?

''I don't know. We took many pictures of the plants, so maybe we should focus on the trees or bigger ones this time,'' I threw the suggestion, and Jungkook seemed to like it. After all, he likes biology, and he wants a good grade. I'm not joking when it comes to projects. And he knows it.

We took our stuff what we need and headed to the woods along with the other students. Once we were there, Jimin and Nayeon left on a different path than we did. After all, they had a little bit different subject than us.

I was taking pictures of this vast tree while Jungkook was a little further away. ''So Jimin, huh?'' He asked all of a sudden. Jimin? What about him? Don't tell me he thinks we are dating.

''What about him?'' I asked and kept taking pictures, not showing the grin on my face.

''Nothing, you two seem close,'' He said. Close? What? We haven't even hung out that much. How can he say we are close?

I decided not to say that to him. God knows what he will have against me. ''We are just friends. He is nice,'' I replied. He shrugged his shoulders and kept taking the photos.

The rest of the time, we focused on doing what we came here to do. We want to finish this quickly and have some free time here.

It was near dark when we came back. It looked like it'd rain, and the weather changed. The teacher decided to call us back to the camp. I'm not too fond of this weather. It seems like it's going to be thunder.

Near the camp was this tiny building. It had bathrooms and a few showers. It was the girls' turn first since there weren't separate showers. I quickly went there because the weather was becoming even worse. I wanted to be inside the tent as soon as possible.

JUNGKOOK'S POV

After the girls came from the shower, it was our turn finally. I hope there is warm water left for us. It started to rain a little bit once we got there.

I showered, dressed up in my grey sweatpants and a white T-shirt. I was drying my hair on the way to the tents. I remembered that I should be sleeping with her in the same tent. I'm sure she'll be fine without me.

Once I reached the tent and was going inside my and Jimin's tent, I heard someone crying. It wasn't sobbing. It was lowkey hysterical crying. Jimin wasn't here yet. He got into the shower once I left. Nayeon is with her boyfriend, so who was crying?

The sound came from the tent next to us. Wait, is that Y/n? Why is she crying for?

I opened the zipper of her tent and found her cuddling up together. She was shaking and crying. She didn't notice I came in. Why is she like that? It was thundering pretty loud. Is she afraid of it? Or was this because of her staying alone in general?

I curled up next to her. ''What's wrong? Why are you crying?'' I asked, and then she looked into my eyes. She was begging me to stay without words.

Suddenly she hugged me tightly and pressed her head against my chest. I wrapped my arms around her without thinking.

''It's just thunder. It won't hurt you,'' I whispered to Y/n's ear.

This won't mean anything.
