Panic attack, Tears and My only Safe place is...

chapter 2!

SETH'S POV_ Point Of View..

We pulled into the driveway of the house, I sigh It may be harder than I thought with Annabelle, she didn't even want to come with us she wanted to stay there at the orphanage, I thought that she'd be happy to get out of the orphanage but she didn't even want to come with us at all, she's totally and utterly frightened of everyone, and she tried to make a run for it, but we'll do it it will work out With God's help, we will show her that we won't hurt her, we will show her kindness and love, and eventually she wont be so afraid of us...

"Seth?" Kate's voice broke me from my thoughts, I turned to her. "Yeah?" I asked. "We've been sitting in the driveway for like 10 minutes or so" She said. "Oh yeah sorry, I was just thinking about Annabelle" I said she nodded. "Yeah, me too, we should get Annabelle and head inside the house" she said I nodded, I looked in the backseat where Annabelle was fast asleep, she cried herself to sleep, she had her knees tucked up to her chest her arms wrapped around her legs, her head was resting sideways on top of her knees and she had tear stains on her cheeks.

"Kate look" I said pointing to Annabelle, She looked back and a saddened look came across her face, she turned back to me. "She cried herself to sleep" She said sadness laced her voice I nodded sadly.              "Yeah should we wake her?" I asked she shook her head.                "No let her sleep she's exhausted,she's had a long day let her sleep" She said I nodded.              "Just carry her in" She said .                     "Is that such a good idea?" I said- asked.                   "Yes it will be fine she's asleep" She said, I sighed I had a feeling in my gut that this wasn't going to turn out well, but maybe Kate's right  she's had a long and hard day and its obvious she's exhausted,  I got out of the car as did Kate, I went over to Annabelle's door oped it, I unbuckled Annabelle and gently picked her up bridle style she was lighter than a feather she's way to skinny we need to get some food into her,  she moved a little but stayed asleep thank goodness, I started walking we went up the steps and into the house,   she shifted in my arms and her eyes popped open , her eyes widen in fear when she saw me, she flinched and screamed bloody murder and she jumped out of my arms and ran to a corner , she sunk to the ground brought her knees to her chest and started to rock herself back and forth, tears streaming down her cheeks , she brought her hands up to cover her head and whimpered.

     I sigh I knew this would end badly.

I bent down in front of her,                    "Hey, Its okay I didn't mean to scare you" I said softly not wanting to scare her farther,   she whimpered.              "Please, No don't" She she said, Kate looked at me in confusion, she sat beside me.                    "She's having a panic attack or a bad flashback" I said, we both looked at Annabelle worried, she started screaming bloody murder, I looked at her in more worry.

    "Annabelle shh its okay calm down shh" I said softly,   she just kept screaming and crying.                "I knew me carrying her in would end badly" I said in frustrated with myself that I should  of listened to the feeling my gut.                       ""I'm sorry Seth, I feel like this is my fault cause I convince you to carry her in" Kate said guilt and sadness leaked her voice I shook my head.                          "No its not your fault it was a mistake" I said she nodded but still looked at me guilty.                   "Is there anything we can do to calm her down?" She asked I sign,                  "No we just half to sit ,wait and talk to her" I said being a doctor I know these things and sense she's most likely having a panic attack followed by a flashback the only person who can bring her out of it is her.
