PROLOGUE

It was just another ordinary Thursday afternoon, the day before the one which probably would be the most important day of my life. I am not talking about a wedding or anything like that, but I do not want to get into any details, at least for now.

I was preparing myself for a jogging session across the campus at the Brown University, located in the beautiful city of Rhode Island, my hometown. I must say, I am not studying there, not anymore, but, as my dad is the University's Dean I had to move in with him, in order to make him some company.

(Basically, had no choice.) My mom died when I was about 16. Not so good memories from then whatsoever. I grew up under my fathers unconditional love and protection. My brother moved to Europe at such young age, and my dads single brother travels around the world all the time because of his job. So we can say I am the only family my daddy's got left.
