Relax people! It was not an infidelity or triplex scene on a public space. Please!

I would not allow myself to be part of that, "felony"? It was more about an underage girl who tried alcohol for the first time, at the club, and of course, she loved it. Bbesides, the guy who took the cocktails to her never asked for an ID, which means that, if her parents find out about this, the club will get into trouble for it. After my intervention, the 16-year-old teen had a very big cup of espresso and when she felt better, I took her to her house.

Her parents were not at home, shocking, huh! So, I stayed with her until her brothers got there. I did not mention the alcohol incident, just made sure her brothers could take care of her from now on. The big brother called my supervisor and let him know everything. I guess he still remembers when he was that age, too. I still do. So, he instantly assumed that she had drank and was grateful that someone took care of his little sister and protected her from her goofy friends.

The whole family are members of the 'Beverly Hills Country Club', but I guess it must be hard, dealing with the parents feuding divorce and the other woman going to the same club as well. Trust me! I can tell. The rest of the story got to me by her eldest brother the very next day, when he came to bring me sunlowers, chocolates and a 'thank you' card with it. He was relieved that his parents would not know about this. But most grateful for all the support and help I gave to her.

It was not the way I was supposed to conclude my first week. Believe me, I was not expecting something like this, but I guess there are still gentlemen in this world. That was so kind and sweet from him, but hold on! I am not going to put in danger the job I just got for a 21-year-old boy who I barely know. Remember the guy I told you about? The one who got drunk the teenage girl, well he was immediately fired after they found out he did not ask for an ID. So, I am not breaking any rule, if I want to keep this the way it is now, I need to settle my boundaries, especially with men.

He seems to be such a nice guy, so did Jason when we started dating and look what happened. I do not need any type of distraction, at least for a while, just need to stay focused on what I want and what I need to accomplish. Besides, I am tired of boys and relationships, especially boys, because now I know that all of them are the same, or maybe not, some of them are worse. Fortunately for me, he just wants to be my friend, and told me that I already have a special place in his heart, house and with his family. Sweetheart!

However, my duty as a new member of the Beverly Hills Country Club was done for the first week. Well, I am a member, a staff member, but it sounds more classy and comfortable for me saying that I am just a member. In fact, I have all the facilities and make use of the benefits during my days off, after my very first well-made intervention, but I must say, I have to thank to Tessa, she has been my guardian angel since the day I got here.

I cannot complain at all! This could be a dream job, except when you face rush hours, the ups and downs and deal with difficult people. Like I say, everybody can have a bad day, it is just he, she or them does not try to make everyone else's miserable, too. On my third and fourth week, I have been promoted to the supervisor in charge's assistant, temporarily. Well, I was trying to stay out of the spotlight, but I guess it is what it must be and if you were born to stand out, why to try to fit in, right?

Now I have the information of every single member of the club and every single member of the staff. Which is not easy to remember, but still, now I have the control and the power to rule the club as it must, (only under my sup's supervision) at least for a couple of more weeks, when the real supervisor in charges assistant returns to his chores. My first big role will be helping Tessa supervising the planning for an engagement party, held at the end of the Summer, but as the hosts were two of the most important members (very rich people), the event has to be impeccable.

Speaking of good taste in fashion and social media... The party will be thrown by Geneva Bach, the mother of the bride. Who is best known for being one of the biggest selfish women in California, also the rest of the West Coast. Translation, she heads one of the most successful companies in the fashion field, besides being one of the co-founders of the Beverly Hills Country Club. So, I will be working directly with the boss.

It is not the first time that I oversee something big, you know, being in the publishing and marketing industry takes a lot of gut. I am ready for it. The first meeting will be with Geneva and her daughter, Nova Waltz. This is going to be challenging and interesting. I need to block my own experience about commitment and stay focused on the happy couple. Besides, I only must take notes for Tess. That is it!

Nova seems to be nice. She is blonde, blue-eyed, with a beautiful smile, I see it every single time that I say something sarcastic about relationships in general, and her mother does not understand. I know! Adults and jokes, do not make a faultless combination. But I must say she is too quiet and shy for a 24-year-old woman who is about to get married. She looks very normal. But, what is normal after all, right?

In the other hand, her mom, wow, she is a total control-freak. Most of the time she acts like a perfect bitch! If bitches can excuse me for the comparison. To be honest with you guys, I really do not know who is the one who has a relationship with the groom. It is kind of sick to think about it, but trust me, you never know... Sometimes real life overcomes fiction!

Per the mother-in-law-to-be, the groom, Jordan Bale, is such a catch. I would not get into any details, because what I heard sounds absurd to me. Tell me about it, right? My skeptical face must say everything. I try to hide it, but -it was effortless-. Tessa said after the meeting, but she guessed pretty well the reasons why, on her first try. She also knows about it, maybe that is why me and her get along fantastically since we met.

Nova barely speaks about her groom or anything at all. Come on! We are talking about her engagement party. It was very intense to see her under Geneva's control, saying yes to everything her mother says. Because every single time that her daughter was trying to speak or change some details about the reception or anything at all, Geneva was offensive and always making her look like a fool.

Of course, she is inexperienced, it is her very first wedding for fucks sake! Her mother in the other hand, has been married countless times, but that does not mean she is a good wife (or even a decent human) either way, let alone a good mother.

Whoever with a mother like her, well, I assumed has known hell in person already. Remember the girl I told you about before? The one with alcohol problems Well, she is Charmont Waltz, best known as Char, for everybody in California and the Beverly Hills Country Club. Now I understand what could be the cause of her addiction. She is Geneva Waltz's firstborn. Go figure!

But as I said before, I am not here to judge. I feel sorry for her, but for me, it has to be just business. So I guess I need to stay out of their family issues. Even though, we, as members of the staff, are not allowed to talk about the clients, members and people in general, who attend to the BHCC, Tessa and I exchange a lot of info, especially when it is about some difficulties or issues they put us to go through.

FOR THE NEXT DAYS, Nova and her sister Char were coming to the club very often. They seem very peaceful and quiet when Geneva is not around. Tess told me that this weekend I will meet the groom, who is coming to take dance rehearsals with Nova. It was not exciting at all, but it was a matter of professional issues though, I need to be attentive and polite. As always!

I talk to dad every single night, because he wants to know everything about my day. Most of times, he is way more excited than I am. He says he is proud of me, no matter what. But that no matter what expression, sometimes sounds conditional to me. Nevertheless, he is doing well, and that is all that matters right now. Greggie and I Skype 5 times a week and it is like I never left Rhode Island, which means that I am not missing anything important.

Gregg and Trevor are planning a trip across the country, and probably would come to see me and meet my new life. It is funny, every time I think about it, because I never imagined my life out of RI, at least not before my dad dies. But I guess it is part of the unpredictable things the universe offers you. And it really surprises you in every single way.

Business is doing great and Jason Well, that is the topic I am helping myself to talk about.
