I didn't even know this many types of flowers existed...

I'm finally visiting the famous flower garden with C/n! We decided to come for our one-year anniversary, and we couldn't have chosen a prettier place. There's so much to explore, and after getting a nice cold drink from a stand, we continued on to the tulip area.

Spinning around in the middle of the path to face my boyfriend—who had ended up a couple of paces behind—I motioned my arms to the scenery around me.

"Isn't it so beautiful?" He smiled at my excitement. "This would be a great place for someone to do their proposal."

"You think so?" C/n asked.

"Well, yeah. I mean, you wouldn't really need to even—," an expression formed on C/n's face that had me stopping in the middle of my sentence, "What?"

He grinned mischievously as he dropped down onto one knee, quickly gaining the attention of the people in the surrounding paths. My expression turned into one of alarm as I went to try and pull him up by his arms, but C/n was having too much fun with his scheming because he simply patted me away and began reaching into his pocket.

"Are you insane?" I hissed.

People had already begun stopping to stare, and a few were already covering their mouths in anticipation.

C/n's smile only widened, and after grasping something from his pocket, he extended his arm to hold out said item.

"You mind holding onto this for me Y/n? It's kind of heavy."

In his palm he held a chocolate, which I quickly snatched from his grasp and shoved into my pocket. Wasting no time, I wrapped my arms around one of his and pulled him up and off of his bent knee. This time, he made no attempt to stop me and only laughed boisterously at my mortification. People finally began dispersing, and I had the urge to apologize as a couple of them shook their heads at C/n's stunt.

"I hate you," I growled out.

Continuing on the path (in the opposite direction of the other people), I sped walked away from C/n and begrudgingly continued to explore the garden.

"Aww, no you don't," C/n jogged to catch up and held my hand once he made it beside me, "I was just practicing. Was it that bad?"

He made a sad face, which I returned with a glare.

"Funny. People actually thought you were proposing for real C/n!"

He laughed, "I know. I can't believe how many people stopped to watch."

I swatted his arm, which only caused him to smile cheekily and squeeze my hand.

C/n attempted to placate me, "Don't worry, it's not like we know any of these people."

"Oh my god, it's the couple who did the fake proposal."

The woman spoke to her partner as they passed us by, shamelessly staring at C/n and me with no attempt at speaking softly.

I fixed another glare on C/n, who burst out in laughter.

After a moment of silence of C/n and I enjoying the landscape, I spoke up with an eagerness in my voice.

"You know what would be funny?"

C/n looked excited as he nodded for me to continue.

"If you really proposed and I said no while everyone was staring, but then said just kidding after!"

He looked horrified at my idea. "You wouldn't!"

I smirked, "I guess there's only one way to find out."

This time, it was my turn to look smug as C/n stumbled along behind me.
