chapter 8: Tris

I sit in my car for a little bit before leaving the school. When I start my car I look up and see Christina and the rest of the group at my window. I unlock the door and let them in.

“Hey are you okay?” Christina asks with sympathy in her voice. 

I nod my head.

“Never better.” I say. She looks at me like she knows I’m not okay. I mean I just found out after two years my so called boyfriend was cheating on me. Not with just one girl just about the whole school. There Is a long awkward silence in the car.

“Yeaaa.” I say breaking the silence “I’m going to leave now. You guys can come if you want to. I guess.” I say. Then out of nowhere Uriah screams 

“LET’S HAVE A FUN DAY AND DO FUN THINGS LIKE PAINTBALL ARCADE AND SKATING AND OTHER STUFF.” 

“Sounds good I guess. But can you please not scream again.” I say and everyone agrees with Uriah and I pull out of the school parking lot. 

_____time lapse to arcade___

After paintball we go to the arcade. My team won. It was boys against girls. We arrive at the arcade/skating/bowling ect. Place and pay our way in. first we go into the arcade. We start to play games then Four comes up to me 

“Are you feeling better?” he asks me with a concern look.

I nod

“Yep just peachy.” I fake a smile. Just as Four is about to say something Colten and the girl that was with Four walking in together holding hands then he kisses her. Four looks over to them and sees them kiss. That explains why she kept looking at me the way she was earlier today. 

“Aubrey. What the hell!” Four yells. She jumps and looks at him and smirks 

“Aww you didn’t think I was going to stay with you right. Everyone knows I don’t date I just get what I want and leave. What I wanted from you I got.” She says. Four just stands there with hurt and anger in his eyes. He clenches his fist then looks at Colten then punches him in the face. He continues until a manager comes and pulls him off.

“ I’m sorry sir but you have to go we cannot have this kind of behavior in here.” The tall dark man says and escorts him outside I follow. 

“Four are you okay.” he looks at me then looks at the ground. Then shakes his head.

“You can talk to me you know that right.” I say putting a comforting hand on his shoulder. He looks me in the eyes. Those dark blues beautiful eyes seems to have gotten lighter than usual. Then says 

“I know.” He just stares into my eyes until Zeke, Uriah, and the rest of the group comes out. We look up them.

“What happened in there?” Christina asks

“Well you see Colten and a girl came in. I’m guessing Four’s girlfriend.” 

“ex-girlfriend. Now.” Four interrupts

I glare at him. I hate being interrupted.

“As I was saying Colten and Fours ex-girlfriend came in holding hands and then kissed. Four went to talk to her then beat the shit out of Colten.” I say. They all nod. We sit in silence for about a minute. Then I tell them I’m ready to go. We all pile in my car with Four in the front I go back to school and let them get their own cars. I leave and go back home.

_____to Tris house___

I get home and no one is home. Caleb is at a friend’s house and my mom and dad are at work so I just go to my room. When I get in my room I get a t-shirt, black shorts, and the things I need to get a shower. I hop in the shower and wash my hair and the rest of my body then get out. I put on my undergarments then my silk robe and walk out the bathroom. As soon as I do there is a knock on my window. I look out and see Four standing on the  balcony so I let him in.

“Hey what’s up?” I ask as he comes in.

“Well you did say I could talk to you. I didn’t want to talk with everyone around and out in the open.” He says still looking the way he did at the arcade.

“Oh yeaaa I did say that didn’t I? Hmmm well what is it you wanna talk about?” I sat jokingly at first then I get  serious

“Everything.” He says
