Chapter 18: Tris

Tobias made me come home to get some rest. I kept telling him I wasn't tired. I guess I went to sleep while I was there because he nudged me a said "go home I promise I'll come over when I leave the hospital." And that's when I left. I pull in the drive way and see a note on the counter from my parents.

Tris and Caleb,we will be in New York until you guys get out of school so that's 2 months. Take care of the house. parties are okay just hide all of our important stuff. You can have friends over. There is extra money for you in your rooms where we hide always hide the your money.

I set the note down and call Caleb to see if he's home. He doesn't answer so I walk to his room and see he's asleep. I leave his room and shut the door quietly and go to my room. Instead of a shower I take a bath. I run some warm water and add bath salts and dim the lights and place candles around the bathroom. I put my phone on my little thing that allows me to answer or call people while I'm in here. I let the water run while I go get my night clothes ready and bring my robe in the bathroom with me. I get in the tub and relax. I start to fall asleep but then my phone rings. I answer it.

"Hello?" I ask groggily from sleep.

"Hey. did I wake you up?" Tobias ask.

"Yes. but I'm glad you did."

"Tris, if you want to go back to sleep you can I'll see if Zeke would let us in."

"No no no no. I'm glad you woke me up. I'm in the tub. and I fell asleep I here." I yawn and rub my eyes. "where are you?"

"Almost at your house."

"Okay well don't ring the door bell my brother is asleep. just text me when you're here."

"I'm just pulled in to your drive way." he says. I hang up get out the tub dry myself and put on my robe. I walk down stairs to the front door and open it. At the door stands a tired Tobias with a sleeping little girl in his arms. I move out of the way and let them in. He leans down and gives me a quick kiss.

I show him to a room his sister can sleep in. He puts her down and tucks her in and kisses her forehead. Then we go to my room.

"I'll be right back." he says before climbing out my window. He comes back with clothes for him and for his sister. He set his clothes on my bed and take hers to the room she's in and comes back. Tobias pulls me into a hug.

"Thank you for letting us stay here tonight." he says. "I don't think I would be able to stay in that house for a while. Especially since there is a dead man in there."

"Welcome." I give him a smug smile and give him a kiss. A slow passionate kiss. He pulled back and smiled. I smiled back.

"Bathroom?" I pointed to the open door connected to my room. He nods and goes to the bathroom. I quickly put on my night clothes and get in my bed and drift off to a peaceful sleep.

Four's pov.

After my shower I walk out in my sweatpants and no shirt. I look at the bed and see Tris sprawled out. her hair covering her face; her lips are parted and her arms are over her head. I smile to my self then walk to the bed. I kiss her forehead and climb into bed next to her and fall into a dreamless sleep.
