Sick Day

I woke up in a sweat, feeling way to hot. My throat and head hurt also.

Oh no I'm sick... And mommy is at work.

I should probably text her...

Little Girl-Mommy I don't feel good. My head and throat hurts and I'm super hot :/

Mommy - Ah baby I'm sorry. I'll be back home as soon as I can. Drink water and try and rest till I can get back.

Little Girl- Okay mommy. Love you.

Mommy - Love you too little one.

I get up and get a glass of water.

I hope that mommy gets here soon, I need sick cuddles.

Alex's POV~

Awe my poor baby. She is sick and I'm stuck at work... Maybe I can get Michael to let me off early.

Michael is my boss and also one of my best friends. He knows all about Ash. But he wants his business to run smoothly and efficiently

I go to his office.. I hope he let's me leave.

KNOCK KNOCK

"Michael, may I come in?" I ask.

"Yes" I hear his answer through the wooden door.

"Yes Alex?" He says without looking up.

"Um so I know its early but can I leave late?"

He raises his eyebrow and looks at me.

"Why?"

"Well Ash is really sick and she can't take care of herself... She really needs me"

He sighs.

"Well you have been keeping up on everything lately.... So yes you can go home. Take care of your baby, tell her I said hello and I hope she gets better soon"

"Okay, thank you Michael"

"No problem"

I leave his office and clean up my desk, grab my phone, keys and I'm out the door.

Better stop and pick up some stuff for my princess.

I went to the store and got stuff to make Ash's favorite meal to eat when sick.

Chicken Soup.

I got carrots, celery, potatoes, onions, noodles and of course chicken.

Also, as much as she hates it, medicine. That time she got sick I ended up get 4 stitches on my forehead.

That was not fun

I also decided to get her a Kit Kat for when she was feeling better.

Now, home to my sick little girl.

I walk is the door silently, hoping that Ash was asleep. Once I go up to our room, she is.

I can make her soup now, I doubt she has eaten anything today.

I start cooking.

ASH---

I wake up a few hours later to the smell of my favorite thing: Chicken Soup.

Mommy is home!

"Mommy, Mommy!"

I hear mommy walk up the stairs.

"Yes love, are you okay?"

"Yes.... I just wanted to see you"

"Awe I missed you princess" she comes over to me.

"Mommy no"

"What?"

"I don't want you to get sick.."

"Baby its okay"

She sits on the bed and cuddles me. It makes me happy.

"You feeling any better little one?"

"A little"

"Good, you want to go eat now?"

"Yes please"

She picks me up in my blue blanket and brings me downstairs.

She sits me on the couch and puts on Cinderella.

"I'll be right back baby"

She walks off to the kitchen, coming back with a bottle and bowl of soup.

"I cooled it down a little bit, but still be careful"

"Mommy...?"

"Yes?"

"...can... You feed me" I blush.

She smiles and agrees.

After the soup is gone and so is all the milk in my bottle, mommy cuddles me again.

I yawn.

"Tired princess?"

I nod

"Sleep baby, you need it, when you wake up you can have a special treat.

"Okay mommy... I love you"

"Love you too little girl" mommy says as she kisses my forehead.

I slowly fall into a peaceful sleep.
