Lost!

Alex's POV--

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP

I hear the alarm and roll over.

6 AM it reads.

I quickly turn it off so it doesn't wake Ash. I silently put on my slippers and walk to the kitchen to make breakfast. I get out the ingredients for banana pancakes, one of Ash's favorites.

As soon as I start I hear footsteps from behind me.

"Good Morning Princess" I say whist turning around. My eyes are greeted with a beautiful sight, Ash. Her hair is messy,  she is wearing a pink sweater that is much to big for her, and is holding one of her stuffies in her arms.

"Good morning Mommy" She replies. Ash walks over to me and puts her head on my chest and arms around my waist. I kiss her forehead.

"You look adorable sweetheart" I say to her.

"Mommy I'm all messy" She giggles.

"Wanna help me make breakfast?" I ask. Her eyes light up as she nods.

I put the ingredients in the bowl and let her mix it up, that is her favorite part. I get the pan and heat it up. Once Ash is done with the mix I start cooking them.

"Mommy? " I hear a soft voice say.

"Yes baby"

"Can... Can I fwip the pancakes? "

"Sure princess but be careful" I hand her the spatula and let her stand in front of me. She perfectly flips one on the first try. Her eyes light up once more.

"Mommy,  I did it, I did it!" She yells.

"Good job baby girl" I laugh and kiss her forehead. She blushes at my actions. She flips the rest of them with no problem at all.

After all the pancakes are made, we sit at the table in silence,  enjoying each others company, and eating breakfast.

I take Ash to the mall to get some new skirts and sweaters. She had been begging me lately and it's my first day off in awhile,  so what better day to do so. We walk into the store and she immediately runs to the sweaters giggling.

"Slow down baby" I call after her. It's to late she is already there.

"Princess you know better than to run away from me" I say in a stern voice. Ash looks down at her feet, ashamed.

"I sowwy" She whispers.

"It's okay, just look around for things you like and don't wander off to far,  okay? "

"Otay! " She replies as she looks through all the sweaters as fast as she can. I laugh and go sit down, waiting for her to pick some out.

After 10 minutes, without looking up from my book, I say "You found some you like princess?".

......

No responce.

" Baby?" I look up and Ash is gone!

Ash's POV---

"It's okay, just look around for things you like and don't wander off to far,  okay? "

"otay!" I respond and look through the sweaters.

They are all so pwitty, I wants all of them!

After a couple minutes of looking I find a bug on the floor.

"Hewwo Mr. Bug" I giggle.

He starts to walk away so I follow him.

"Come back, I want to pick you up!"

I followed the bug around until he got up and flew away. I pout, and turn around to tell Mommy that the bug left me. But when I do I see she isn't there! I'm not even in the store anymore! I fall to my knees and cry.

"Mommy.... " I whisper.

Alex-

Shoot, where did she go. I told her to stay there and look! I hope she isn't hurt. I go around asking people if they have seen her, I all get the same answer, No.

I'm about to find some security guards when I see her, crying on the floor. I run over to her and wrap my arms around her.

"Mommy! " She yells.

"Princess, you scared me. Why did you run off? "

"I-I saws a bug a-and I followed it" Tears run down her face.

"Oh kitten, it's okay,  I'm here"

I pick her up and dry her eyes.

"How about we go get some ice cream, huh? "

She kisses my check and whispers, "I love you Mommy" in my ear.

"I love you to baby,  now for ice cream! "
