Chapter 21: I Hate You

Ryder's POV:

*2 days later*

We walked into Wes and Keaton's mom's house.

And everyone was there.

Wes and Keaton's family, Drew's family, and Ryan.

"Why's Ryan here?" I asked Wes.

"You'll see." He said, sadness evident in his voice and eyes.

What in the world is going on?

I sat next to Breezie, as she pulled me into a hug.

"So, um, there's something really important that we need to discuss, and it effects every single one of us." Drew started.

Everybody turned their attention towards him.

"I'm not going to beat around the bush with this. But, um, I'm leaving Emblem3 to pursue a solo career." Drew said.

I couldn't believe it.

My heart sunk to the pit of my stomach. Tears welled up in my eyes.

"Were always going to be best friends." Keaton quickly said.

"So, as of right now, I'm moving out of my condo and gonna still live in Venice Beach. Wes and Keaton will stay where they are and uh, right now, only for a few months, we think it's best that Ryder lives with Ryan while I sort things out." Drew sighed.

I quickly walked to the door before anyone could see me break.

I sat on the patio, head in my hands as I let it out.

"Ryder?" Drew whispered, shutting the door lightly behind him.

"Just go away." I said, walking away.

"Ryder, stop." He said, grabbing my arm.

"You're just like everyone else before. You adopt me, and throw me away, just like I'm a piece of trash. I should have known. I should have never trusted you." I said, finally gaining the confidence.

"This is temporary. Once I figure things out, we'll live together again. Plus, you'l come to a ton of things with me. Like, when I release my album." He tried to calm me down.

"It's not just that. You ruined our family. You, Wes, Keaton and I were a family. I hate you." I said, crying even harder.

"Don't say that." He said, pulling me into a hug.

"No." I said pushing him away. "How am I supposed to forgive you for throwing away the only thing that I can even call my family?"

"I don't know but, I swear, I'll make it up to you somehow." He said.

"When will I see Wes and Keaton? When will I even get to see my boyfriend?" I asked.

"Actually, you and Ryan will live in our condo. I'll be living a few blocks down so, you can come see me whenever you want." He said.

"I guess, I could learn to deal with the way it is. But, why?" I asked.

"Why what?"

"Why go solo?"

"I have a great opportunity with it." He said.

"You'll regret leaving them." I said, walking back into the house.

"Does someone need a hug?" Ryan asked.

"Yeah." I said, he pulled me into my chest.

It's insane how much your life can change with a simple paragraph.
