Song of the Chapter: End Up Here by 5
Seconds of Summer
speaking of them, I got tickets to see them in Pittsburgh.
I know the song's storyline is nothing like this chapter's storyline. But? some lyrics are mentioned.

Ryder's POV:
Drew and I walked into, what used to be, 'our' apartment.
"You're supposed to be my dad." I said, suddenly angry at Drew.
"What do you mean?" Drew asked, obviously confused by my sudden change in mood.
"Normal teenagers live with their parents, not their brother, when their parents literally live only five minutes away." I sighed, sitting down on the couch.
There were boxes everywhere, ready for Drew to pack his stuff up, and leave me behind.
"I think we all know, that you'll never be a normal teenager." Drew sighed, sitting down next to me. "You're special."
"Why? Because, my mom killed herself and my father abused and raped me countless times? Is that what makes me special? That I have OCD, anxiety, and a numerous amount of other things, that make me 'special'?!" I started to yell, using air quotes.
"Ryder, it's not like that. Sure, those are some of your, so-called 'flaws', but, what makes you special, is that you passed most of that, and now you are a strong young woman, who can do anything she sets her mind to." Drew answered, much more calmly than how I had reacted.
"Whatever. Why don't you just pack up your stuff and leave me behind." I said, on the verge of tears. "I just thought you were different."
"What?!" Now, he was pissed too. "Are you comparing me to your father?"
"Well, you are causing me just the same amount of pain." I said, turning to walk away.
"Don't walk away. I'm not done talking." He said, causing me to stop in my tracks.
"What's there left to say?" I asked. I just wanted to go over to Wes and Keaton's.
"I don't want you comparing me to your dad. I would never do something like that to you, ever." He sighed.
"You know, my dad promised me he'd never let anything hurt me. Look what happened there. How do I know you won't do that to me?" I asked, tears threatening to spill at the memory.
"You have to trust me on this one, Ry. I'm doing this for you. Believe me, I wish I could stay here with you." He said, obviously very frustrated with me.
"Then, why don't you?"
"I can't. I need to figure out some stuff. Plus, you have an emotional attachment to Wes, Keaton and Tyler, and that's something that I will never take away from you." He said, the hope for forgiveness prominent in his voice.
"But, you're still taking yourself away from me." I said.
"I know, I just need some time. Okay?" He said, officially ending the conversation.
"Okay. I'll just leave so, you can pack." I said, walking out, looking back at him.
He'd already turned away, to pack up. And leave me.
Even though he'll be five minutes away, it feels like an eternity.
Drew's POV:
I turned back, silently praying that she was still standing there. But, she was already out the door.
I'm slowly loosing her. And I'm not too sure how to get her back.
For God's sake, she's my daughter. I shouldn't be loosing her like this.
My phone rang, called I.D. displaying Kelsey's contact. I chose to ignore it.
I sat down on my bed, questioning everything that has happened in the past week. Why does this have to be so hard? How did we end up here?
Ryder's POV:
"You okay?" Wes asked as I walked into the kitchen. "You look like you just saw a ghost."
"Yeah, um, Drew and I just got into a fight. Nothing big." I said, brushing it off.
"You sure?" He asked, obviously very concerned.
"Yeah, where's Tyler and Keats?" I asked, looking around.
"They went to rent a movie. You hungry? I have a pizza in the oven. You haven't ate since we stopped at Burger King, a few hours ago."
"Yeah, I'll probably have a slice." I said, hopping up onto the counter while Wes messed around with some stuff from the fridge.
"You can stay here for the night, considering what just happened." He offered.
"It's no big deal." I interjected. I really didn't want to intrude.
"Oh c'mon it'll be fun. We're gonna watch a movie. Tyler's staying too." He said, convincing me.
"Fine." I sighed, giving in.
"Yay!" He yelled, while pulling the pizza out of the oven, burning his hand. "Shit!" He cursed, causing me to giggle at his reaction to the hot pan.
