Ryder's POV: (fast-forward to September 6th)

It was the last thing I thought of before I fell asleep. And the first thing I thought of when I woke up.

I shot up out of bed, after reading the clock, 10:34 am.

I practically sprinted to the bathroom to shower.

After getting out, I blow-dried and curling my hair, putting make-up on and my contacts in.

I pulled on a pair of light washed denim shorts and a black sweater.

I grabbed my grey vans, attempting to pull them on as a made my way to the kitchen, where Ryan sat eating breakfast.

"You hungry?" He mumbled, mouth full of toast.

"Yeah, but, Tyler and I are going to breakfast for his birthday." I reminded him.

"Cool." He said, after finally swallowing his food. "By the way, I have to see my manager in San Diego, so, I won't be hope till tomorrow so, you can go to Drew's or something."

"Okay. I'll see you tomorrow."

"Wait! Here's $20, just in case and tell Tyler I said Happy Birthday." He smiled, handing me a twenty dollar bill.

"Will do and thanks." I smiled, before walking out the door.

I made my way to the lobby and out of the glass doors, where Tyler stood waiting for me.

"Happy Birthday." I said as I finally reached him, giving him a small peck.

"So, where to?" He asked.

"A surprise. I'll give you directions and you drive." I said, sliding into the passenger seat of his car.

--

"I told you right, and you took a fucking left!" I yelled at Tyler, considering the fact that we were on the four lane and we couldn't get off for another twenty miles.

"You said left, Ryder! Stop blaming it on me!" He yelled back.

"I'm blaming it on you because, it's your fault!" I said, becoming frustrated. "I clearly said right!"

"Dammit, Ryder!" Tyler yelled, hitting the steering wheel with his fist.

"Just stay on the four lane until the exit, get off, then, we can pull up a map on our phones." I said, attempting to fix the situation.

"Ryder, I get that, just stop trying to fix things." He sighed.

."I'm trying to fix it because, I want you to have a great birthday." I defended. "Sorry, for trying to be a good girlfriend."

"I never said you weren't."

"I know."

"Let's just be quiet until we get off the exit." Tyler suggested.

"Fine." I sighed, leaning back in my seat.

--

"Okay, now take a right." I said, putting emphasis on 'right'. "Okay, now just pull off here."

"The diner?" He asked, a smirk appearing on his face.

"Yep." I nodded, pulling him inside.

"Long time, no see." Rick said, once noticed the two of us. "What can I get you two?"

"I'll have The Blueberry Pancakes." I smiled.

"Make that two." Tyler agreed.

"So, how's your birthday been so far?" I asked, looking up at Tyler.

He's so perfect. It still blows my mind that he would actually like someone like me. I mean c'mon, I'm not pretty, skinny or smart. But, he's just perfect. So, perfect.

"Well, look who I've been spending it with." He smiled, looking back at me.

"So, pretty sucky, right?" I giggled.

"Yeah, just terrible." He said, obviously very sarcastic.

I unlocked my phone, while waiting for our food, opening up Instagram.

I looked through the notifications, seeing a picture of Tyler and I from like two minutes ago.

'The way they look at each other is just ughh.'

I screen-shotted the picture, considering the fact that I just absolutely love it.

I leaned my head onto Tyler's shoulder, opening up my camera and taking a picture.

I posted it to Instagram, with the caption: 'Birthday Breakfast with this cutie @tylerraycase I love you.'
