"Let's go back inside." Loki said.
"No. Can we stay out here?" Hela asked.
"This celebration is for you. All these people came just for you." Loki replied.
"I like it out here. I know no one in there. I only know you, uncle, grandmother and grandfather. That's it. I don't want to talk with anyone else. I'm afraid." Hela told him.
"I will be by your side." Loki said.
"But, I saw how everyone looked at you. They seem to hate you. Everyone would ignore if you were at my side. It's better out here where it is just you and me. This way, you can tell me all about yourself and mother." Hela told him.
"Now, is not the best time for that. It would take me hours to explain to you. But, I can teach you a cloaking spell. You can use it for tonight. Come to the prisons and find my cell. The cloaking spell will make invisible to everyone around you except me." Loki explained.
"Show me." Hela said.
Loki quickly taught her the spell and had her recite it in her head.
"I think I got it." Hela said.
Loki smiled and hugged Hela tightly.
"I'm so glad I found you." Loki whispered.
Hela hugged Loki tightly and rested her head on his chest.
"I never even thought that I would ever know my parents let alone be a princess." Hela chuckled.
"Whatever happens to us, you will always be my little princess." Loki told her.
Hela smiled and took Loki's hand.
"Let's go inside." Hela said.
Loki nodded and the two walked in. Everyone turned their heads and smiled at Hela, but frowned at Loki. They were happy he was alive, but after learning about what he did, they wanted nothing to do with him. Loki smiled awkwardly at everyone and Hela dragged him onto the dance floor.
"Can you teach me this dance?" Hela asked.
"It's an advanced one. Are you sure?" Loki asked.
"I can handle it." Hela replied.
Loki nodded and began to teach her the steps. Shortly after, Hela memorized them all and began to dance. She watched as everyone else joined in and laughed. Loki and Hela danced together on the floor. After some time, Loki spun Hela around in the air and Hela laughed out loud. Everyone looked at them and couldn't help but smile. Loki brought her back down and kissed her cheek. The music ended and everyone clapped for the two. Loki looked at everyone and eventually, his eyes landed on Odin's. Odin rolled his eyes and clapped twice. Loki looked down at the floor and then at Hela. Hela was smiling at him and Loki pulled her into his arms. Loki saw Odin nod his head and Loki sighed.
"Now, listen to me, Hela. I have to go back to my cell." Loki whispered.
"What? Why" Hela asked.
"No questions, alright. You know the spell. Make sure that once everyone is asleep you come see me. I love you, Hela." Loki replied.
"I love you, too, dad." Hela whispered.
Loki kissed her forehead and stood up. Loki looked at Odin and shook his head. He saw the guard at the doors and put his head down. Loki patted Hela's shoulder and walked towards them. Hela watched as the guards handcuffed him and dragged him down the hall. Hela turned to Odin and glared at him. She paced over to him and saw Thor and Frigga by his side.
"How could you?" Hela asked.
"What?" Odin asked.
"I told you I wanted him here for the whole party. Why did he leave now? He was supposed to be my gift. Why couldn't he stay?" Hela asked.
"He was here, wasn't he? That's what you wanted." Odin replied.
"No! I wanted him here the whole night! He is your son and you should listen to him! What he did was not of his own actions! He was brainwashed and manipulated!" Hela exclaimed.
"That man is not my son!" Odin exclaimed.
"How dare you? How dare you turn your back on flesh and blood?" Hela asked.
"He is not my flesh and blood." Odin replied.
"Odin!" Frigga exclaimed.
"What?" Hela asked.
"And that makes you not related to me, Frigga or Thor at all. We shouldn't even be having this celebration." Odin replied.
"How would the people of Asgard feel if their king cancelled the celebration right now? They'd want to know why. You'd have to tell them everything and you don't want that, do you?" Hela asked.
"It doesn't matter. You are not a princess!" Odin exclaimed.
"Odin!" Frigga exclaimed, a hint of anger in her voice.
"Well, I'll be going to my chambers. You can tell everyone that the princess has gotten tired." Hela told him.
Hela walked out of the room and Odin was furious. Frigga put a hand on his shoulder and Odin sighed.
"That was unnecessary. She would have learned it all, in time." Frigga told him.
Odin sighed and walked away. Hela walked into her chambers and used her powers to make an illusion of herself in bed. Hela then quickly recited the spell and began to walk to the prisons. Hela walked past the guards and searched everywhere for Loki's cell. Minutes had passed and she made it to the end of the prisons. She smiled when she saw Loki in his cell. He was no longer in his armor and was sitting on the floor with his head in his lap. Hela thought about the things Odin said to her and started to cry. Loki heard someone and lifted his head to see Hela.
"What are you doing here? The party is still going on." Loki asked.
"Odin told me horrible things. He said you weren't his son and that I was not a princess and shouldn't even be here." Hela cried.
Loki bit his lip as he watched Hela wipe her nose of her sleeve.
"Come here." Loki said softly.
Hela walked through the cell barrier and ran over to Loki. Loki wrapped his arms around Hela and had her sit in his lap.
"Don't cry, Hela. It will be alright." Loki whispered.
"But he said you weren't his son. What did he mean by that?" Hela asked.
"Hela, it' time I told you everything that you need to know." Loki replied.
Hela looked up at Loki and he wiped her tears away.
"Now, please, listen to what I have to say very carefully. And when I am finished, you may not love me anymore." Loki said.
"Not love you? You're my father." Hela chuckled.
"Hela, I am not Odin's son. I am Laufey's son. Laufey was a Frost giant. You are not familiar with these creatures but, I am one. I was not told until a year ago. I was having an identity crisis and one thing led to another and I fell into an abyss. I did terrible things there to survive. Then, I met this man Thanos who tortured me and manipulated me into leading the attack on New York. But, Hela, I did terrible things. I killed hundreds of people." Loki told her.
"But it wasn't you who killed them, dad. And I don't care who's son you are. Because in the end, you are still my father." Hela said.
Loki smiled and kissed Hela's head.
"Tell me about mother." Hela said.
"Oh, your mother was a divine woman. Sigyn was her name. She was so beautiful and outgoing. Every time you looked at her, it was like she was a ray of the sun. She was an angel. She was introduced to me at a party and we hit it off immediately. We both fell in love, got married and had you. Meeting both of you were the highlights of my life. Your mother was perfection in its finest form. It's a shame your mother was taken too early from me." Loki told her.
"What exactly happened?" Hela asked.
"First, there was a prophecy stating that the first born of either your uncle and I would possess the power to kill anyone with the touch of their fingers. Since you were born first, none of his children will have it. Only you. It was said that they would learn to use it and control it. But these creatures called the Dark Elves wanted to use the child and harness their power. They wanted to use the child as a weapon. Bring destruction to everyone around them. Sigyn and I protected you for those few months you were here with us. One day, Sigyn was playing with you in our chambers. I was in a meeting with your uncle and Odin. The Dark Eves just attacked once they got word that you were born. There was a huge battle and I tried to find your mother and you. I wanted to make sure you were both safe. But, when I got there, I found your mother dead on the floor and you were hidden away in the closet. I remember holding you and you were trembling in my arms. I felt so helpless. Then, your uncle said that I had to send you away where they wouldn't find you. I tried to tell them that you would be safe here because I would always protect you. But they told me that the Dark Elves would stop at nothing until they had you. So, I had to send you away. That's the truth, Hela." Loki explained.
"So, the woman who is dead in my dreams is mother?" Hela asked.
"What?" Loki asked.
"Ever since I was little, I had these dreams where I would find a woman with very light blonde hair. She would be on the floor dead an there would be a closet at her side. When I turn her over to look at her, that's when the whisperings start. I hear this man whisper words that are very faint. Some I can make out and others I can't. But as the years went by, I discovered that it was two voices whispering to me. One told me that he wanted to help me and the other said that I could help him." Hela replied.
"Hela, don't you worry about those whispers. If you ever get scared, you know where to find me." Loki said.
"You said you were a Frost giant. Does that mean I am too? Is that why Odin said I was not related either?" Hela asked.
"Yes you are one. Half Frost giant and half Asgardian." Loki replied.
"What do they look like?" Hela asked.
"You want to see me turn, don't you?" Loki asked.
Hela nodded softly and Loki chuckled.
"Alright. But just this once." Loki said.
Hela smiled and watched as Loki's skin turned blue and his eyes became crimson. Hela ran her fingers over the patterns on his skin and smiled weakly.
"I can turn into this?" Hela asked.
Loki nodded and Hela held Loki's hand. Loki furrowed his eyebrows and widened his eyes when he saw Hela changing too.
"Hela, stop that." Loki told her.
Hela transformed herself and looked back at Loki.
"I'm just like you." Hela giggled.
Hela wrapped her arms around Loki's neck and the two changed back. Loki sighed as he kissed the top of Hela's head.
"Don't you ever change into that again." Loki told her.
"Why?" Hela asked.
"I don't want you to. I don't like it. Please." Loki replied.
Hela nodded her head and smiled.
"Can I stay the night with you?" Hela asked.
"Someone might not find you in your bed." Loki replied.
"I made an illusion." Hela said.
"Well, I know someone who will most likely check up on you and see your illusion and know exactly where to find you." Loki told her.
"Who?" Hela asked.
Loki motioned to look out of his cell and Hela turned her head. Hela chuckled awkwardly when she saw Frigga outside the cell.
"Hello." Hela chuckled.
