"Hela, we can't have you here. It's not safe." Thor told her.
"No! I don't want to go back! I want to stay here. I'll be safe. I can defend myself, uncle!" Hela exclaimed.
"I'm sure you can but this man means to use you as a weapon." Thor stated.
"I don't care what he means to do with me. I can stay here. I can fight. I have all the powers that my father has. I can't leave him now. He just got me back after fourteen years, uncle. I just can't." Hela explained.
"Hela, your grandfather doesn't want anything bad to happen to you or Asgard if the Dark Elves do come." Thor told her.
"No! I will not leave here!" Hela exclaimed.
"Hela, please-"
"No!" Hela screamed cutting off Thor.
She ran out of the room and ran into the prisons. She quickly used her cloaking spell and made her way to Loki's cell. Hela ran in and before Loki could even say anything, she hugged Loki very tightly.
"Hela, what's the matter? Has something bad happened?" Loki asked.
Hela nodded as she cried into Loki's chest. Loki pulled her back and knelt down in front of her. He put his hands on her cheeks and smiled weakly.
"Tell me what's wrong." Loki said softly.
"Grandfather and uncle want to send me away again." Hela cried.
"What? Why?" Loki asked.
"Because Jane Foster is here and s-she has this thing in h-her...and the d-dark things are here and I-I don't kno-"
"Hela, slow down. Take a few deep breaths and talk slowly." Loki told her.
"Jane Foster is here. The woman with uncle. She found this thing called the aether and it's inside her. Grandfather told us that these Dark Elves wanted to use the aether to bring darkness over the realms and also wanted the aether in me to use as their ultimate weapon. I'm scared. I don't want to be sent away but I don't want to die." Hela cried.
"Hela, listen to me. No one is going to send you away and you aren't going to die. No one is going to take my baby girl away from me ever again." Loki told her.
Loki pulled Hela into his arms and hugged her tightly. He cradled her head as she cried into his shoulder. Loki stood up and sat down on his bed.
"Hela, you're going to be alright." Loki said.
"How? You're in this cell. I can't just keep running to you when things get bad. What if they take me by force and I can't get to you?" Hela asked.
"I don't know yet, Hela. But, if anything happens, Frigga can help you. She will keep you safe. I know she will. If the Dark Elves do come, stay with her at all times and never leave her side." Loki replied.
Hela nodded and Loki wiped her tears away.
"But, what about you?" Hela asked.
"I'll be alright, Hela. Don't you worry about your old dad." Loki replied.
"What do I do? I don't want to go to my room and get taken away." Hela asked.
"Hela, no one is going to take you. I promise you this." Loki replied.
Hela nodded and Loki kissed her forehead.
"Besides, if anyone does try, just use your magic on them." Loki said.
Hela chuckled and hugged Loki once more. Loki kissed her temple and she ran out of the cell. Hela ran back to her chambers and locked her door so no one could enter. Hours passed and there was a knock on her door.
"No! Leave me alone! Don't take me away!" Hela screamed.
"Dear, it's only your grandmother. What are you talking about?" Frigga asked.
Hela ran over to the door and unlocked it. She saw Frigga and allowed her into the room.
"What are you talking about taking you away?" Frigga asked.
"Grandfather said that the Dark Elves were coming and that he should send me back to Earth. But I don't want to go. I want to stay here with my dad." Hela replied.
"Hela, as mean as your grandfather may be, he would never do that." Frigga said.
"I'm just afraid. If they came for me once and are coming again, they might try to take me." Hela told her.
"Sweetheart, you have a loving family who will protect you no matter what. There is no need to be afraid. Come. Dinner is ready." Frigga explained.
The two walked out of her room and to the dining hall. As they walked there, they stopped to see Jane and Thor on a balcony.
"Good afternoon mother." Thor said.
Hela gave Thor a look. She couldn't believe that he would turn on her like that. Thor smiled weakly at Hela and she ignored him. As Frigga, Jane and Thor were speaking, they all heard an alarm go off.
"The prisons?" Frigga asked.
"Loki." Thor replied.
"What? Did he do this?" Hela asked.
"That's what I'm going to find out." Thor replied.
Thor flew off towards the prisons and Frigga sighed.
"You two. Come with me. You must do as I say and no questions. Understand?" Frigga asked.
The two nodded and followed Frigga to a room. Meanwhile, Loki was in his cell trying to figure out what was happening. He saw one of the prisoners letting people out of their cells and he came across Loki's. The prisoner eyed Loki down but walked out, never letting Loki go. Loki furrowed his eyebrows and looked around at all the other prisoners making a riot. Loki walked up the cell wall and saw Thor outside.
"Thor! Where's Hela!" Loki exclaimed.
"She's with mother!" Thor exclaimed back.
"Is she safe?" Loki asked.
"Yes! Now, if you don't mind!" Thor replied running off.
Loki looked around his cell and prayed that Hela was safe. Jane and Hela hid behind a column as Frigga made two projections of them. Frigga pulled out her dagger when she heard the doors open. There stood Malekith. The two made eye contact and Frigga slowly moved back as he stepped closer. Shortly after, they all heard screaming and gun shots coming from the throne room. Jane had her arms around Hela tightly and kept whispering to be quiet.
"The aether." Malekith said as he walked over to the projection of Jane.
Malekith looked over and saw Hela's projection.
"And who is this young lady?" Malekith asked.
"None of your concern, Malekith." Frigga replied.
"I think she is," Malekith told her." Raven black hair, emerald green eyes, beauty that only one other woman possessed. This is Loki's daughter. My darling, Hela."
Malekith went to touch the two, but their projections faded away. Malekith turned to Frigga and the man from the prisons, Kurse, came behind Frigga and wrapped his arm around her neck.
"Witch!" Malekith yelled.
Frigga smirked softly and Malekith walked up to her.
"Where are they?" Malekith asked.
"I'll never tell." Frigged replied.
"That's what I thought." Malekith said.
Hela and Jane peaked out from the column and watched the scene unfold. Kurse took out a sword and stabbed Frigga through the back. Hela was about to scream when Jane covered her mouth and hid back behind the column.
"No!" A voice shouted.
Jane and Hela saw Thor run into the room and throw Mjolnir at the two. Malekith and Kurse had already left the room and were long gone in one of their ships. Next, Hela watched as Odin walked over to Frigga lifeless body. Jane and Hela stepped out from the column and looked at the two. Hela watched as Odin held Frigga in his arms. He caressed her cheek with his thumb and kissed her forehead. Hela walked over to Odin and hugged him tightly. Odin patted her back and smiled softly. That night, Frigga's funeral was held. Hela stood next to Odin and held a small blue orb in her hands. She remembered what Loki told her about her mother's funeral and what happened. She watched as Frigga's boat glided across the water and was set on fire. She smiled weakly when she saw her spirit become stars and fly up into the night sky. Next, all the blue orbs were released and Hela watched as hers flew up towards her mother's constellation. The funeral ended and Hela used her cloaking spell as she ran to Loki's cell. When she got there, she saw all the furniture broken apart and thrown everywhere, the mirror's glass shattered, fruit smashed on the floor and Loki crying as he sat against the wall. He looked so weakened and hurt that Hela began to cry. Loki looked up and smiled when he saw Hela. He put his arms out and chuckled.
"My baby girl. You're alright." Loki cried.
Hela ran into his cell and threw herself at him. She sat in his lap as she cried into his chest. Loki cradled her head and hushed her as he rocked her softly.
"It's going to be alright, Hela. No one is going to hurt you. I will always keep you safe. They aren't going to take my baby girl away from me." Loki whispered in her ear.
Loki kissed her temple and ran his fingers through her hair.
"I don't want him to take me." Hela cried.
"No one is going to take you, sweetheart. I'm still here." Loki told her.
"He was the man from my dreams." Hela said.
"What?" Loki asked.
"In my dreams, the voice that whispers to me calls me darling Hela. That man called my projection darling Hela. He's from my dreams, daddy. I'm scared. What's going to happen to me?" Hela asked.
"Nothing, Hela. Nothing is ever going to happen to you. I'm going to ensure that you are safe." Loki replied.
Hela hugged Loki tighter and Loki kissed the top of her head.
