The following morning, Thor came and opened Hela's room. She ran out to him and he brought her some food for breakfast.
"Are they going o do anything to me today?" Hela asked.
"No. Today it will be just you and your father." Thor replied.
Hela smiled and Thor patted her back.
"I want you to show him this." Thor told her.
Thor handed Hela a small doll that looked beaten up and had cotton coming out of it.
"What is it?" Hela asked.
"Your mother made you this when you were six months old. You always played with it and once you were sent away, your father never let it out of his sight. I think that maybe if you show this to him, he'll come back to us completely." Thor explained.
Hela held the doll in her hands and looked at it. It was small, had brown yarn for the hair and green button eyes. Hela smiled at it and somehow felt like she knew the doll her whole life. Thor went to open the door but Hela stopped him.
"I'm scared, uncle. Yesterday, he seemed frightening." Hela said.
"Do not worry, Hela. Just talk to him. Please. I want your father back just as much as your family wants him back too," Thor told her. "I know that this very overwhelming for you, but you must try."
Hela nodded and Thor opened the doors. She walked in and heard the doors close behind her. She walked over to the container and Loki turned to face her.
"You still come here? Why?" Loki asked.
"Because I want my dad back. I may just met him but I want him back." Hela replied.
"It's a lost cause." Loki told her.
"I will keep trying until he is back." Hela said.
Loki chuckled at her and Hela gave him a look. Hela ran up to the glass and started banging on it.
"You give me my father back! All I ever wanted was to have a family that loves me! Now that I've met my father I want him back! I want him here for me! Give him back!" Hela screamed.
Loki chuckled at her and moved away. Hela started to cry and looked at the doll in her hands. She put it up to the glass and smiled weakly.
"Please." Hela whispered.
Loki turned around and saw the doll that she was holding. Loki furrowed his eyebrows and walked over to the glass. She saw that his eyes were green again and she smiled.
"Where did you find this?" Loki asked.
"Uncle gave it to me. He told me about how mom made me this." Hela replied.
Loki tried to grab the doll but couldn't. He let out a frustrated sigh and just looked at it.
"Your mother spent weeks making that. She was terrible at sewing. I would make fun of her because of it. I told her she wouldn't be able to do it, but, she did. You played with it all the time. You never let it go. You even named her. Baba. That was all you could even say at six months. You were always crying Baba. I even remember as Thor took you away to here, you were screaming her name. It pained me so much to see you that way. When Thor told me that you were away and safe, I ran to your nursery. I picked up Baba and just cradled her in my arms as if she was you. I did that every day. I prayed that you were safe an here you are. Hela, I've missed you so much and I'm so sorry." Loki explained.
"But, dad, I don't feel safe." Heal said.
"Why?" Loki asked.
Hela sat down on the floor and Loki sat down as well.
"Thor told me that I possess a power that these people want to extract from me. They've taken some of my blood and injected me with this weird liquid. I'm afraid they're going to hurt me." Hela replied.
"Don't worry, Hela. I will always keep you safe. Once you were born, I vowed to keep you protected from harm and that is what I'll do." Loki told her.
"Can you tell me a little more about yourself?" Hela asked.
"Well, we come from Asgard and the only way to get there is through the Bifrost. There are different realms such as Midgard, which is Earth, Jotunheim and Vanaheim. I was born on Jotunheim as a Frost giant. They are very tall and have blue skin and crimson eyes. Your grandfather, Odin, found me and I changed into my Asgardian form. He never told me until a year ago. After that, all I wanted was for Odin to accept me. See me as an equal to Thor. Things went terribly wrong and I feel into an abyss." Loki replied.
"What happened after that?" Hela asked.
"If I tell you more, he will come back." Loki replied.
Hela nodded and put her hands up on the glass. Loki put his hands over hers and chuckled.
"I wish I was there for you growing up, Hela. I missed out on everything." Loki told her.
Hela smiled weakly and Loki cocked his head to the side.
"Can you tell me about mom?" Hela asked.
"Your mother's name was Sigyn. She was the most beautiful woman in all of Asgard. I felt happy that she was mine. Sigyn was loving and caring that it just melted your heart. She was adored by everyone. The other women loved her but were jealous that she was with me. Everywhere she went, all the eyes would turn to her. We loved each other very much. She was my other half. I never knew that she could bare a child as beautiful as she was." Loki explained.
Hela blushed and Loki chuckled at her.
"What exactly happened to her?" Hela asked.
"These people called the Dark Elves found out about your power and wanted to use it as a weapon. They invaded Asgard trying to find you. At the time, you were with your mother. She was told of the invasion and she hid you in the closet of our bedroom. The Dark Elves came into the room and your mother tried to fight them off. When she wouldn't give up where you were, they killed her. Later, I came in to find her. She was laying on the floor with her beautiful, almost white, hair over her face. Her mouth was open in an eternal scream and her beautiful green dress stained with her blood at the chest. I then found you in the closet and left the room. I tried to get you to a safe place, but your uncle had to send you away." Loki explained.
"Just like in my dream." Hela whispered.
"What?" Loki asked.
"I would sometimes have this dream where I'd find a woman with hair like mother's. She would be dead and she looked exactly like you described her. I would cry for help but then I would hear whispering from a man. I could never make out the word because they were too softly spoken or it was in another language. After that, I'd wake up." Hela replied.
Hela had tears streaming down her face and Loki wanted to wipe them away. Hela chuckled at him and Loki smiled weakly.
"It's alright, Hela." Loki said.
"Uncle told me that once you're back to normal we can leave. Let me get you out." Hela told him.
"You can't." Loki said.
"Why?" Hela asked.
"Because I'm not back to normal. He's still in me, Hela. I don't know if he'll ever leave." Loki replied.
Hela sighed and looked up at him.
"What can I do?" Hela asked.
"I don't think that there is anything you can do." Loki replied.
Hela bit her lip and took the doll in her hands.
"Baba." Hela chuckled.
Loki smiled at her and Hela looked up at him.
"Are those people still looking for me?" Hela asked.
"I don't know." Loki replied.
"What power do I have that they want?" Hela asked.
"You have the power to ki-"
Loki was cut off by the sound of the doors opening. The two turned their heads to find Nick and two agents walking over to Hela. The agents forcefully picked her up and Loki stood up quickly.
"Let her go! Can't you see you're hurting her!" Loki yelled.
"She will no longer be visiting you. Our plans to help you have failed and she will never see you again." Nick told Loki.
"No, you can't do that!" Loki exclaimed.
"Dad!" Hela screamed.
"I'm going to help you. Once the brainwashing is-"
Loki knew he made a terrible decision and he let out a yell. Hela saw his eyes become blue once more and he was smirking at her.
"Where's my dad!" Hela screamed.
"Since you are no longer visiting, there is no point of letting your dad come out." Loki told her.
Hela kicked at the glass as she was pulled away by the agents. Even though Loki was smirking, she could see pain in his eyes. Hela kicked at the agents and the doors closed in front of her. She looked around for Thor and couldn't find him anywhere. The agents took her into a room and Nick looked down each hall before closing the doors. Hela was strapped onto the table and she squirmed around as an agent got ready to put a needle in her arm.
"We were cut short yesterday, weren't we Hela?" Nick asked.
Hela tried to get out of the restraints and Nick shook his head.
"Begin." Nick told the agents.
The agents turned out a machine and the blue liquid was injected into her arm. At first, it was painless but as the moments passed, Hela screamed out in pain. The injection finished minutes later and Hela was drained of all her energy.
"Now, the green one." Nick said.
Hela threw her head back into the pillow and started to cry.
