Hela awoke the following morning to Tony giving her breakfast. She ate it quickly and watched as Tony left. She placed the tray on her table when she finished and sat down on her desk. Hela saw a sketch book by Baba and she was confused as to how it in here. She began to draw in it. The first thing she started to make was a drawing of the lady in her dreams. After some time, she started to draw Loki and Thor. Once she finished, she heard someone whispering. Hela quickly turned her head around and saw that there was no one in the room. Hela stood up from her desk and carefully searched her room. The more she moved around, the louder the whispers became. She could faintly make out words and she started to get frightened.

We're coming

No one is safe

Not even you, my darling Hela

Hela shook her head and the whispering ceased. Shortly after, Thor opened her door and Hela looked at him with wide eyes.

"Hela, are you alright?" Thor asked.

"There were whispers and I can't find them." Hela replied.

Thor furrowed his eyebrows and walked over to her.

"What did the whispers say?" Thor asked.

"They told me that they were coming and no one was safe, even me." Hela replied.

"You're going to be fine, Hela. No one is coming." Thor told her.

Hela nodded and the two walked out of the room. Hela stayed alert and focused as she walked down the halls.

"Now, you can stay here and chat with the others. I have some business to attend to." Thor told her.

Hela nodded and sat herself in a chair. Thor left and Hela was all by herself. She looked around the room and sighed as she put her elbows on the table and supported her head up with her hands. Shortly after, Steve walked into the room and sat down next to Hela.

"How are you feeling today?" Steve asked.

"I'm alright. How are you?" Hela asked.

"Great," Steve replied. "Do you like it here?"

"At first I felt fine, but now, I don't know what to think. No one is telling me the one thing I want to know and whenever I ask about, they just drug me. I wish I had stayed at the orphanage." Hela explained.

"It will get better. I think Loki is staring to open up." Steve told her.

"Yeah, key word: starting." Hela sighed.

"What did you do at the orphanage?" Steve asked.

"Nothing much. I couldn't tell anyone about my powers with magic because they'd send me to an asylum if I did. No one really talked to me and it felt like my childhood was taken from me. I don't even remember any of it." Hela replied.

As the minutes passed, Hela continued to talk about her life as all the others came and listened to her. Once she was finished, they all understood her better.

"Do you know why Nick keeps injecting me these serums?" Hela asked.

"He wants to remove your power that you possess because he thinks it can harm everyone on Earth." Bruce replied.

"But, I'm not going to Earth when we're done. I'm going home, to Asgard. Just as uncle told me." Hela said.

"We know that. But he doesn't want you to harm anyone anywhere." Natasha told her.

"My father said he was supposed to help me. Why can't he just teach me when he's well?" Hela asked.

"He's not well enough to help." Steve replied.

"He did kill eighty people in two days." Natasha added.

"That doesn't sound like my father." Hela said.

After a moment of silence, the building shook and everyone looked around. Nick came running into the room and called them all.

"You all better suit up. Natasha, Clint is in the detention center. Everyone else, get out and Hela stay in your room until all of this is over." Nick told them.

Everyone ran out of the room and Tony helped Hela back to her room.

"Stay put and don't come out of here no matter what happens." Tony told her.

Hela nodded and her door closed. Hela sat on her bed and feared what might be happening. She knew that Loki's people were here getting him out. He told her that he would come for her. Hela waited patiently on her bed for Loki or Thor to come. The hours passed and Hela heard all the destruction being done. After some time, she had to hide under her bed to avoid the ceiling falling on her. Hela held onto Baba as she waited underneath the bed. As the hours passed, there was no sign of Thor or Loki. Finally, the violence had ended and Hela's door opened. She expected Thor or Loki to be there, but it was Nick. She got out from under her bed and held Baba close to her chest.

"What's happened?" Hela asked.

"I'll explain later. Just come with me." Nick replied.

Hela narrowed her eyes at him but followed him anyway. She was led to a conference room where she saw Steve and Tony.

"Where are the others?" Hela asked.

"Bruce, Thor and Loki are gone. And Loki killed Agent Phil Coulson." Nick replied.

"Natasha is with Clint. Loki brainwashed him and he's got his head all straightened out now." Tony said.

"Where are they?" Hela asked.

"We don't know." Steve replied.

"But, I still have to help my dad. There must be some way you can find him." Hela told them.

"It is a lost cause now. You will stay here at SHIELD protected from any harm while the others will find Loki and stop him." Nick explained.

Steve and Tony left the room and Hela was left there with Nick.

"I am not protected am I?" Hela asked.

"Excuse me?" Nick asked.

"I know that whenever Thor was not around, you would inject me with those serums all the time. Now that Thor is missing and I can't help my dad, I have no protection." Hela replied.

"You're a very clever girl," Nick told her. "But what you possess can harm you and all the people around you. We need it gone so you don't do anything bad. We are helping you. It may not seem like it, but we are."

"How can I be sure of that?" Hela asked.

The two circled the table as they kept their eyes on each other.

"We told you everything you want to know." Nick replied.

"You've told me the things that you want me to know. Not what I need to know." Hela told him.

Nick smirked and was amazed at how clever and intelligent she was.

"Well, what is it that you need to know?" Nick asked.

"What power do I possess that you say is so harmful to myself and others?" Hela asked.

"Your father was the one to tell you. I am not entitled to. Besides, the information is classified with SHIELD documents and files." Nick replied.

"Fine. Then, why is it so harmful? What does it do to me and others?" Hela asked.

"It hurts them." Nick replied.

Hela glared at him and gave him a quick nod.

"How badly does it hurt people?" Hela asked.

"On a scale of one to ten. Probably one hundred or even higher." Nick replied.

Hela thought for a while as she made connections. Thor told her that it was dangerous, Loki said he would teach her to control it and Nick said that it hurts everyone around her and she needs to be protected. Hela wasn't sure what to make out of it, but then, it finally dawned upon her.

"I can kill people, can't I?" Hela asked.

"Possibly." Nick replied.

"How?" Hela asked.

"That is classified information that no one can discuss with you." Nick replied.

"Do you know when I might do it?" Hela asked.

"Your uncle, Thor told us that the only way you can kill people is when your father teaches it to you. When you have been exposed to it, that it is when you will begin to harm those around you." Nick replied.

Hela put her head down and Nick kept a close eye on her.

"We are doing what's best for you. We are trying to extract your powers so you can never harm anyone. But being that you are a demi-goddess, it is making things harder for us." Nick told her.

"How?" Hela asked.

"You aren't like a normal human being. You are more complex and stronger than the average human. Your body always fights off the injections we give you. That is why we always up the dosage when we inject you. The more we give you, the more your body works to fight it off. It's as if, you're body wants you to keep this power." Nick explained.

"If I was meant to have this power, why would my body give it up? If I was born with it, I was given it for a reason. I might have to fight off a bad cause or help those in need with my power. Everything happens for a reason." Hela told him.

"Hela, you seem like a clever young girl, but, this is far greater than you think. Why would you want to have a power where you kill people?" Nick asked her.

"If what you are telling me is true, the only way for me to actually kill someone is by having my father teach me, he doesn't have to. That way, I will never be able to harm anyone." Hela replied.

"What happens if you wake up one day, touch a friend and they just drop dead?" Nick asked.

"That wouldn't happen." Hela replied.

"Why?" Nick asked.

"I don't have any friends." Hela replied.

Nick slowly nodded his head at her and she smirked. She knew he didn't know what else to say. There was nothing else who could say.

"What other powers do you possess?" Nick asked.

"Shapeshifting, changing appearances of objects, basically every power my father has." Hela replied.

"So, you're more powerful than we think. Maybe a little bit more dangerous than we thought." Nick told her.

Hela narrowed her eyes at him. She tried to figure out Nick and what his motives were. Hela could read people and sometimes use their weaknesses to her advantage. That's why some of the girl's at the orphanage never talked to her. They were scared of her. Almost everyone was. Hela had a hard time reading Nick. He seemed so secretive and corrupt that she couldn't find anything on him.

"I was born with these powers. There is nothing that you can do to remove them." Hela told him.

"I know you were born with them and I know they can't be removed." Nick said.

Hela cocked her head to the side as she raised an eyebrow at him.

"But that doesn't mean I can't try." Nick finished.

"Like I didn't see that one coming." Hela told him.

"You are very much like your father, you know that?" Nick asked.

"How so?" Hela asked with a smile.

"When you were first here, you were timid, afraid and self conscious. Now that you've been exposed to our methods, I see you for who you really are. You're cunning, manipulative and mischievous. You play your cards well, Hela. I would never have guessed that you were like this." Nick replied.

"What else are you supposed to do when you have no one to talk to at an orphanage? I always used my powers to play tricks on all the other girls. It was amusing and it kept me occupied." Hela told him.

"I think you'd make a fine addition to SHIELD." Nick told her.

"I have no need to be here. As a matter of fact, I feel like it would be a waste of my time." Hela said.

Hela left the room and went to find Steve and Tony. She found them in a lab room where Tony was still trying to locate the Tesseract.

"Hela, are you alright?" Steve asked.

"I'm alright. I just need you to find the Tesseract soon." Hela replied.

"Why?" Tony asked.

"Because I need to get out of here. Nick still wants to remove my powers and hurt me again. I need you to take me with you and bring me someplace else where I am safe." Hela explained, forcing a few tears from her eyes.

"It'll be alright, Hela. We'll find it soon and we'll help you. We promise." Steve told her.

Hela smiled and went back to the detention center. There, she found Natasha in a room and knocked on the door. Natasha opened it and welcomed her in.

"How are you, Hela?" She asked.

"Who's this?" A man's voice asked.

"Clint, this is Hela. Loki's daughter." Natasha replied.

"Loki has a daughter? Wow." Clint said.

"We brought her here because Thor wanted to get his brother back and she has a power that is very harmfu-"

"Nick ended up telling me all about it." Hela said cutting off Natasha.

"He wasn't supposed to." Natasha told her getting angry.

"He just did." Hela said as she rubbed her arm.

"How is the progress with the Tesseract?" Clint asked.

"Steve and Tony are still working it out. But they promised me that when they find it, you guys would help me get out and return me to uncle and father." Hela replied.

"Of course. Nick isn't supposed to be doing this." Natasha told her.

Hela smiled weakly and left the room. What no one actually knew was this was another facade. She was using this to try and get people to talk. She needed to know what power she possessed. She was really a timid girl, but, she had to know who she truly was. Hela needed to know the truth. She was actually scared. Hela didn't know what Nick might do next. As she talked with him, she feared if he jumped over the table to her and went to give her more injections. Hela really was a scared little girl. All she wanted to know was her secret that everyone had been keeping from her. Hela got it and now, she had to wait for Tony and Steve to find the Tesseract to get her out of here and bring her to Thor and Loki. Hela found it funny how she really wanted to come here and work as an agent. But after spending the past few days here, her image of this place changed dramatically. Hela saw it as corrupt and filled of secrets. As Hela walked to her room, she saw in the reflection of a wall two agents following her. Hela took a deep breath and quickened her pace. Just as she did, they too picked up their pace on her. Hela panicked and started to run down the hall. She looked behind her and they were running after her as well. Hela tried to run as fast as she could but that didn't stop them from catching up to her. They grabbed her arms and dragged her down the hall. Hela screamed for help and froze when she saw Nick at the end of the hall. Hela struggled in their grips and continued to scream as they brought her into one of the lab rooms. Right as the doors closed, Hela's screams were no longer audible.
