Hela awoke in one of the lab rooms. She was strapped to a table and she looked around the room. Hela was wearing a hospital gown and she had needles in her arms. Hela struggled in the straps and tried to escape them. She thought she must have been here for hours since most of the needles' serum was almost gone. Hela jumped when she heard the door open. She tried to get out of the straps when she saw that it was Nick with two agents by his sides.

"Good afternoon, Hela." Nick told her.

Hela avoided eye contact with him and he smirked.

"You've been asleep for some time now." Nick said.

Hela never once looked or even replied to what he said.

"Silent treatment, huh? Children can be so stubborn." Nick asked.

Hela quickly glanced over at him and then back at the needles.

"While you were unconscious, Tony and Steve discovered where the Tesseract was. They are starting to leave now. And I know about what you told them. How I gave you information on who you were and how I was hurting you so they could get you out. You aren't leaving here, Hela. You will never leave until your powers are gone." Nick explained.

"Uncle and father will come back. They will want to know how I am. They will take me back." Hela finally told him.

"I'm not sure about that. Your father still isn't himself and there is no word about where Thor might be." Nick said.

"They will come. No matter what you tell me, they will come for me." Hela told him, smirking and turning her head to face him.

Nick scoffed and looked over at the agents. He nodded at both of them and they begin to refill the needles with a heavier dosage. Hela winced in pain as Nick left the room. She watched carefully as Nick walked away. He was walking towards the conference room. The detention center was in the opposite direction. If Hela hurried up, she could escape and make it to Tony, Steve and the others on time. Hela saw that all the needles were removed and the agents were refilling them. Hela smirked and shapeshifted. She found herself in the hallway leading to the detention center. Her powers still weren't strong enough that she could shapeshift all the way to the detention center. Hela chuckled and started to make a run for the detention center. She knew where the planes were and she ran as fast as she could to them. Shortly after, she heard an alarm go off. They figured out of course and she had planned that. She looked behind her and could faintly hear the sound of footsteps. Hela picked up her pace. Right now, this was a matter between life and death. If she could kill people, they would most likely kill her. That is what Nick was hinting at when he told her that they would never find her again. It was because they would kill her. Hela turned a corner and quickly used her magic to open the door to the detention center. She saw that Loki's cell was missing and furrowed her eyebrows. Hela looked out a window and saw Natasha talking with Clint. She swore she saw Clint mouth her name. Hela ran up the door and opened it. She heard the wind whoosh by her and she had to squint because the force of the wind was so strong.

"Guys, I'm here! You have to help me! Nick is coming for me!" Hela shouted as she ran over to them.

They all turned their heads and Natasha quickly helped her into the plane. Tony was in his suit and was already flying away. Hela looked out a small window and saw the agents aiming their weapons at the plane. Nick was behind them and Hela smirked as she waved at him. The plane took off and Nick kicked the ground. Hela bit her lip and smiled softly.

"Where are we going?" Hela asked.

"We located the Tesseract to be on Stark's building. Loki is there as well." Steve replied.

"Will it take long? Will I be able to see him?" Hela asked.

"We're not sure if he is stable to see you." Clint replied.

"I want to see him. I miss him. Even though I never knew him until a few days ago, I miss him." Hela told them.

"We will find your uncle and he will bring us to Loki. You can go home once this is all over." Natasha said.

Steve went to touch Hela's shoulder but after learning about her true self, she flinched away from him. Steve furrowed his eyebrows at her and patted her shoulder. Hela looked at his hand and smiled weakly.

"Scared?" Steve asked.

"No. It's just that I was afraid you'd die." Hela replied.

"Don't worry. Besides, you can only use your power once you start practicing with it." Steve told her.

"Do you know exactly where my uncle and father may be?" Hela asked.

"No, we don't." Clint replied.

The ride wasn't very long and Tony came on the P.A.

"I don't think you're going to like what's out here. Loki's opened a portal on top of Stark Towers and these weird alien things keep coming out of it. This is going to be a tough one. I suggest Hela stay in the plane until everything is over." Tony explained to them.

Shortly after, they were in New York and Hela saw the destruction happening in the city. Hela scanned the city for her orphanage and she found it. It was in pieces. Hela backed away from the window and a tear escaped her eye. Suddenly the plane shook and Hela looked at Natasha and Clint.

"Stupid aliens hit one of our wings. Hold on tight. This isn't going to be a smooth landing." Clint told them.

Hela sat on a small bench and tightened a seat belt around her waist. She held onto the bench as Steve stood and maintained his balance. The plane began to lose its altitude and Hela tried to keep herself calm. For some reason, Hela knew something terrible was going to happen to her. She could sense an uncertainty in the air. She could always do this from a young age and believed it to be one of her powers. Most of the time she was right, but others she was wrong. But, this was a strong feeling. Something was going to happen to her or one of the others and it would not be pretty. The tension in the air grew thick and Hela knew something terrible was going to happen to them. The plane crashed into the ground and Hela shrieked as it did. The plane slid on the road and gently hit a building.

"Alright, Hela. Here's what we need you to do. You must stay here away from any of the danger outside. It will be locked and you will be safe. No matter what happens or what you hear, stay inside." Natasha told her.

Hela nodded and they all walked out of the plane. The back of it started to close and Steve quickly saluted her. Hela smiled weakly and waited inside the plane. It bothered Hela not knowing if her uncle or her father were alright. And there was something in the air that made Hela know something bad was going to happen or happened to them. She kept feeling one emotion the whole ride her. Fear. Hela didn't know why she was afraid. Or what she was fearing. Maybe Hela was fearing that her uncle or father was dead? It was possible. It might have happened. Or maybe one of the others would die? Hela felt very anxious and her head started to hurt. She never experienced anything like this. The emotion and things she would feel when she sensed something were always dull and almost never there. Yet, this was different. Hela knew something dreadful was going to happen, but she didn't know what would. Then, Hela remembered the whispers that she heard. This person told her that no one was safe, not even herself. Maybe, he was referring to her power? Maybe she would unleash now and kill everyone? Hela tried not to worry. She told herself that if she stayed here, everything would be alright. Yet, there was another part of her that told her to go out and help. Hela was so conflicted. She wanted to help yet she knew something bad may happen if she did. Hela unbuckled her seatbelt and walked over to the front of the plane. She looked out the windows and saw the destruction that these aliens were causing.

"Chitauri?" Hela asked.

Hela furrowed her eyebrows at the word. She never even heard the word before, yet she felt as if she'd known it her whole life. She thought she heard the name in a dream. Hela thought over almost every dream she had and couldn't recall ever hearing the word. But, she made another discovery. The whispers she heard were of a man, but they were two different voices, both telling her different things. One told her of great destruction and her own demise, while the other told her to come help her when he came for her. Hela shook her head and continued to look out the window. Hela watched as Steve helped Natasha into the air and she took hold of one of the ships. Hela looked to see who she was following and gasped. It was Loki. He was alive. Hela chuckled happily and watched as he faded away into the distance. But if he was alive, what of her uncle? Maybe he was dead? Or maybe one of the others was dead? Hela couldn't stand just waiting in the plane. She needed to help them, but she needed to stay safe. And, Hela never fought in any type of battle. She would have the occasional verbal fights with the girls at the orphanage but this fight was like no other. There were beings from another world threatening the lives of everyone on Earth. Of course, Hela had her powers and was clever enough to fight them off, but she was only a child. Hela knew her father and the others would be upset if she disobeyed them but something terrible was going to happen and Hela wanted to prevent it. Hela knew she had to go find her father if she went out. She looked back at the end of the plane and then back out the window. The area she was in was not very populated. Only a few people but no Chitauri. Hela took a deep breath and used her magic to open the back of the plane. Hela looked down at herself and she observed the hospital gown. Her arms were covered with cotton balls with band-aids over them from where the needles were placed. She removed them all and winced in pain as the tape tugged at her skin. The light of the day shined into the plane and Hela squinted her eyes. Hela quickly ran out of the plane and saw all the destruction around her. She could see the Chitauri flying out of the portal created by the Tesseract. Hela sighed and ran around New York looking for Loki or Thor. Hela began to run to Tony Stark's Tower. She knew Loki would be there. Hela knew which way to go. On trips from the orphanage, they would always pass by it and Hela mapped out the route. Hela stayed alert and focused. But, the closer she got to Stark Towers, the more populated the area became. There were Chitauri everywhere and Hela looked up in the sky. There, she saw Loki on top of Stark Towers. She smiled but quickly frowned when she saw Bruce, in his Hulk form, throw him into a window. Hela knew something bad would happen up there, so it would be best to stay low. Hela continued to run and found Thor in front of her. Hela quickly ran up to him and hugged him. He turned around and widened his eyes at her.

"Hela, what in the gods' names are you doing here?" Thor asked angrily.

"I needed to help you. Something bad is going to happen. I could sense it. But, it's alright. I can use my powers to help you. Father is up in Stark Towers." Hela replied.

"I know he is. I tried talking to him, yet, he is still uncooperative. There was a moment where I thought it was him, but he ended up stabbing me. Hela this is not safe for you." Thor told her.

"I'll be fine, uncle. I have the same powers as father. I'll be safe. I promise. Once this is all over, we're going home, right?" Hela asked.

"Of course, Hela. We're going to take you home and you'll be in good hands." Thor replied.

Hela smiled and Thor patted her back.

"Now, I must go fight. You will be safe here by yourself?" Thor asked.

"Yes, uncle, I can fight them off." Hela replied.

Thor nodded and swung his hammer around until he flew away. Hela looked around her and saw three Chitauri coming at her. Hela smirked and ran up to them. She shot a beam of green light at one of them and they fell dead. One went to stab her, but she shapeshifted and shot at him. The last Chitauri shot his weapon at her but she dodged it and used her magic. They were all dead around her and Hela sighed. Hela's heart started to race and she felt dizzy. She became afraid and knew that whatever was going to happen was going to happen soon. She needed to talk to Loki and let him know she was safe. Hela began to walk down the street and stopped at an intersection. Hela heard an explosion and screams in the distance. The ground shook beneath her and she gasped. Hela quickly turned around and she saw smoke lingering at the end of the street. The wind picked up and Hela saw Tony flying above her with what looked to be a nuke. Hela then knew that that was what she felt. Someone was going to nuke the city to try and get rid of the Chitauri. Hela sighed with relief when she saw Tony flying towards the portal. Hela looked back into the smoke and saw it dissolve. Hela squinted her eyes when she saw someone at the end of the road. She could see a green cape flowing in the wind and the man was hunched over. Hela's eyes widened when she saw who it was.

"Dad?" Hela asked happily.

Loki looked up at her and smiled weakly. He was bruised and cut everywhere. Loki forced his legs to move and started to make his way over to Hela. Hela knew that everything was going to be alright. She was going to be with her dad and be taken home, away from all of this. Hela started a slow walk and increased her pace until she was running. Loki started to run down the road to her, no matter how much it hurt.

"Hela! He's out of my head! I'm alright now! It's me! I'm back again!" Loki exclaimed.

Hela laughed happily and furrowed her eyebrows when Loki's facial expression changed. It went from happy to scared in less than a second.

"She's with me! She's with me!" Loki screamed.

Hela slowed down her pace and cocked her head to the side.

"Leave her alone! She's with us! She's fine!" Loki screamed.

Hela stopped running and gasped when she felt someone's arm on her. Then, that was when she knew the truth. Those man's whispers were right. It wasn't the nuke, it wasn't anyone else's death or anything. It was her own demise. Hela watched as the Chitauri pierced it's weapon through her body. Hela, surprisingly, didn't even feel it.

"No!" Loki screamed.

Come to us, Hela.

You'll be safe with us.

You won't hurt anyone.

Say goodbye.

The whispers kept repeating in her head. But, her feeling was correct. She knew something bad would happen. Hela knew someone would get hurt. She knew death was coming. Hela just never expected it to be her own.
