Brent POV

"Who the fuck are you to me?! I'll tell you why I play with men! When I was in high school my first boyfriend ever raped me along with his two other friends!"

I look at her with wide eyes, "I thought he fucking love me, but no I was blind as a fucking bat! They raped me in a fucking barn and left me there!" I look at her eyes and see nothing but anger.

"Fucking happy now?! I finally told you my reason why I play with men. I used men just like they used me when they raped me. Men play and use women all the time. What's the problem with me doing the same?!" I step forward and she steps back and crosses her arms, "Just bring my meal up when you're done cooking." I try to stop her, but she leaves before I could say anything.

I lean against the counter with a long sigh, "Now what?"

Faye POV

I slam my door and lean against it. I slide to the floor with a long sigh. I go to my window and sit on the edge and look outside.

I didn't mean to tell him my past, but he pushed me over the edge and I blew up.

An hour later I hear a knock on my door. It slowly opens and in comes Brent, "I brought your food up." I look at him and see guilt all over his face. I roll my eyes and he clears his throat, "I'm sorry about earlier, I didn't mean to push you over the edge."

I walk towards him and take the food out of his hands, "I'm over it now." He scratches his head and I sigh, "You can eat in here with me if you want to." He looks at me with a small smile, "Okay, I'll bring my food up."

He leaves and comes back minutes later. I sit back down by the window and he sits on the edge of my bed, "Is the food good?" I nod my head, "Yeah, it is. Did you make a dessert?" He nods his head and smile, "I made your favorite brownies. I got them right here."

I walk over to him and hold my hand up. His smile slowly falls, "Ms.Faye, are you really over it? I don't want to feel guilty anymore." I cross my arms, "Yes, I'm over it, now give me my brownie." He hands me the brownie and sighs.

I go back to the window and look at him, "What are you cooking tomorrow?" He shrugs his shoulders, "I don't know, nothing's coming to mind." I look outside, "Steak and shrimp." He looks at me with an arch eyebrow, "I want steak and shrimp."

He looks at me and smiles, "I completed another goal!! You finally told me what you want for dinner!!" I finish up my food and eat my brownie, "I want to help cook." He stops at what he was doing and look at me with wide eyes, "You're joking, right?" I shake my head, "No, I'm serious. I want to help cook."

He clears his throat and I continue to look at him, "Um, okay. We need to go shopping for some of the ingredients." I nod my head and he takes my plate, "I'm going to call it a night. Thank you for not firing me, I thought I was for good going to be fired." I shake my head, "I feel like you're going to be here longer than my past assistants."

He looks at me and laughs, "Goodnight, Ms.Faye." He walks out and I close my door. "I want to listen to you play again."

Next Morning

I wake up and do my morning routine. I go to Brent room and open the door, "Do you want me to cook breakfast?" I nod my head and he walks past me, "What do you want?"

I pick up Lucky, "I want a country ham sandwich." He shakes his head and laughs, "I knew you would like it." I follow him to the kitchen and he starts cooking.

I go to the refrigerator and pour us some orange juice. I fill Lucky food and milk bowl up. "You have a few meetings to attend to. You also have to talk about Jerry Carp situation." I roll my eyes, "Why do I have to talk about that?"

He shrugs his shoulders, "I don't know, the people want to know what you felt about the situation. The news will be at your office around 2:00."

We go to the car and head to the building. Every morning Brent stops to talk to Julia. "Don't tell me, you're going to stop to talk to Julia. You don't have to tell me everything." He nods his head as he walks towards Julia.

I go up to my office and see Sarah sitting on my desk. "I don't even care why you're here." She looks at me and claps her hands, "I want you to come along with me to look for a dress for this event!" I roll my eyes, "No, I'm not going." Her mouth drops, "What?! Why?! Don't you still need to get a dress?!"

I shake my head and sit down in my chair, "No, I already have mine. Take Katy with you, she still needs to find a dress." She crosses her arms, "She's coming along too, I want you to come along with me. I'm really about to call Jackson."

I arch my eyebrow, "What exactly is Jackson going to do to me?" She shows me a little smirk, "Stop having sex with you for a certain amount of time. You can't say you will have sex with someone else, because you know he will chase them all away." I drop my head and groan in defeat. She claps her hand, "I'll let you know when we'll go." She walks out with a triumphant smile on her face.

Brent comes in and points at her, "Did she win Henry over?" I shake my head, "No she won me over. I have to go dress shopping with her and Katy sometime this week." He looks at me and smiles, "That's good, it's better than working all the time."

I look at him and sigh, "I'm so done with my life right now." I sit down and rub my face. Brent goes to his office and I start my work.

Afternoon

Brent comes in my office, "A reporter is here to talk you about Jerry Carp." I look at my watch, "It's time already? Why now? Let them in."

A woman and her cameraman come in. Brent leans against my desk and I stand beside him. "We would like to review you and your assistant about Jerry Carp."

I nod my head, "Me? Why do you need to talk to me?" The woman looks at Brent and gives him a smile, "You're a powerful woman assistant and bodyguard. Which means you're powerful in a certain way to others." I arch my eyebrow, "Bodyguard?"

"I'm not her bodyguard. I'm just her assistant." The woman blinks a few times, "Really? The way you stapled Jerry to the desk and the way you caught Ms.Curtain from falling was something a bodyguard would do." Brent shakes his head, "I'm not a bodyguard."

The woman clears her throat, "Let's get this interview going."

We sit down and Brent leans back on my desk. The cameraman puts the camera on me and Brent. "Ms.Curtain, How did you find out about Jerry Carp?" I look at the woman and point at Brent, "Brent was the one who questioned Jerry about the women quitting all of a sudden."

"How did you react when you found out about him harassing all those women?" I put one leg over the other, "I was pissed off. When we confronted him, I tried my best not to stab him in the eye with his pen. He tried to play dumb, but he knew it was useless. When he knew it was useless he pushed the desk."

She looks at Brent, "And that's where you came in, right? Was that your true reaction when you stapled Jerry to the desk?" Brent clears his throat, "No it wasn't. My first reaction was me punching him, but instead, I stopped myself from doing that and staple him to the desk instead."

"Jerry Carp is a man with money. He can pay his way out of this trial." I nod my head, "He can, but he will be put on a blacklist and no one would want to hire him anymore."

"Before we end this, I have one more thing to ask you about." I arch my eyebrow at her, "What is it?"

"Yesterday, a whole bunch of reporters rushed in here asking you about Jerry Carp. Instead of it going easy, you were pushed over. What were you and Brent feeling then?" I look at my ankle, "I was feeling pain because they made me twist my ankle a little."

She looks at Brent, "I felt anger because they hurt my boss. During all of that, I ended up punching one of the reporters in the nose and getting a bruise on my side." He looks at the cameraman and the cameraman's eyes widen. "Is the interview over now? My assistant seems to hate cameras in his face."

The woman clears her throat and stands up. "Yes, that will be all. Thank you for both of your time." They quickly leave my office and I look at Brent, "You really have to get used to cameras. You're going to be with me 24/7." He lets out a long sigh, "I know, I just don't want a repeat of yesterday to happen again."

I look at the time, "We're done for today. Let's go home."
