SEVENTEEN, " Lonely."

After driving around for a half hour trying to find where these knuckleheads are, I finally found the nightclub downtown which I guess is where everyone went after the big party.

I was expecting Jace but when I pulled up Aden sat on the curb with his head in his hands with Jace nowhere to be seen. I unlocked the car and he immediately got in and slammed the door.

"What did my car door do to you?" He took a deep breath, "Sorry." He said it so quietly I could barely hear him, "You sobered up quick."

He was burning a hole in the side of my head, I just kept my gaze on the road. "You know how much it takes for a wolf to get drunk."

The answer to how much does it take to get a wolf drunk? Let's just say enough to kill a human.

"So, it didn't last long?"

"Never does." I don't think we're still talking about being drunk.

"Where is Jace?" He tensed up as I said his name.

"Uh, he got completely blasted, punched the bartender then he left with some chick." I narrowed my eyebrows at him, "What about Lila?" Aden laid his head back on the seat and just looked into my eyes before I looked back at the winding road.

"Not Lila." He said quietly.

He didn't say anything more about it and I didn't push him to instead, I turned the radio up and rolled the windows down, we drove the rest of the way in silence. His hand resting firmly on my thigh.

As we pulled up to the Packhouse I took the road down to Aden and Jace's house, I shifted the car into park and looked over Aden, he is already looking at me. "You okay?" I asked.

"Do you wanna come in for a little bit?" He ignored my question and responded with his own question, I've always hated when people did that, but he answered the question without having to.

He's not okay.

I looked down at the little clock on the car radio. 3:07 AM, "Sure, but only for a little bit." We made our way inside and he grabbed a water bottle out of the fridge and drank it in less than a second, then drank another.

"Thirsty?" I said copying what he said to me the other day, "You have no idea," He said seriously.

He made his way upstairs I followed suit, "Did your dad tell you?" I flopped down on his bed. "Tell me what?" He took his shirt off without any hesitation and laid down next to me, I looked up at the ceiling so I didn't stare at him.

"I'm moving out next week," My head turned so quickly I wouldn't be surprised if I have whiplash. "Why?" He shifted onto his side, "I got my own place, I need the distance from Jace," I shook my head knowingly. "I get that," I said turning on my side.

"Have you had any more weird visions?" I hesitated.

"No, I don't think it was a vision. Just some weird dream I was probably dehydrated or something." He raised his eyebrow questionably. "Really? Just a weird sex dream?" I hit his shoulder and he chuckled.

"It was not a sex dream!" I defended. Suddenly the room became silent, he stared into my eyes and I did the same to him, his green eyes started to swirl with hazel. "What are you thinking about?" I asked.

"Honestly? How much I wanna kiss you."

I rose an eyebrow, "What's holding you back?" His heated gaze is sending me into a frenzy. "Nothing. I won't hold back anymore." He quickly moved over and hovered on top of me, he kissed me slowly pulling my bottom lip between his teeth as he pulled away, my hands quickly found there way up to his thick dark hair pulling the strains carefully.

A low growl rumbled through his chest as our kissing became more heated. He grabbed my thigh and moved it onto his hip, his hand moved further up my leg, I responded by wrapping my legs around his waist and pulling him closer.

The tension around us was growing uncontrollably, I leaned my head back giving him more access to my neck as he kissed me slow hot kisses all the way down my neck, I tugged at the end up his shirt, he smiled into our kiss then discarded his shirt to the floor. I ran my hands over his torso feeling the indents of his stomach, as my hands roamed his muscles tightened.

I jumped as something downstair made a huge thud, "Was that the front door." Aden sighed and I just stared up at his disheveled state, His hair is messed up from me running my hands through it, his lips swollen and his eyebrows are currently furrowed together.

I ran my finger over his eyebrows since his forehead was scrunched up.

He smiled back and gave me a chaste kiss before he hopped off the bed. "Stay here, I'll go see what it was." I rolled my eyes. "I'm coming with you." He turned around at the speed of light, "No. You are not." He stated firmly. I mumbled a "Fine." and he headed downstairs.

"Damn it, Jace." I heard Aden say with a sigh. I took that as my cue that it was safe to leave his room, I shuffled down the stairs to see a very intoxicated Jace, his clothes are crumpled up his hair is a mess and Aden it currently holding him up. "I'll be back," Aden said before throwing his brother over his shoulder and heading upstairs.

I sat down on the couch and waited for Aden to come back, I couldn't help, but think where has Jace been all night? And is this normal for Aden to have to deal with? I looked down at my phone, it's now close to four in the morning. I need to go home and try to sleep.

I stood up from the couch just as Aden came back down the stairs.

"Where are you going?" He asked with a bit of sadness in his tone. "Uh, home. I'm gonna try and get some rest before school tomorrow."

"You could stay here tonight if you want..." I looked down at my feet and then up at him. "No pressure." He said quietly. "Sure," I said with a smile.

We headed back upstairs, he gave me an oversized Teeshirt to wear since I don't have any pajamas with me. I left the bathroom clothes in hand and made my way over to his bed. "Is this normal occurrence for Jace?" I asked.

"No. Yes? I don't know. It started when we moved here, he hasn't been the same since."

"What do you mean?"

"Ever since we got here he's been drinking like crazy making bad decisions, I've basically been babysitting him none stop."

"That sounds pretty awful." He turned on his side to look at me. "Yeah, I mean he's my brother and I will always be there for him. But the shit he's been pulling lately has been a lot."

"Have you tried talking to him?" I asked. "All he ever says is he's not acting any different then he usually does. Which is bullshit. It's...It's like he doesn't even know he's doing it."

We spend the rest of the night talking until I fell asleep, but I do remember him pulling me close to his chest and resting his head on mine as he drifted to sleep.
