Chapter 20: The Talk

(Peyton's P.o.v)

After Ali calmed down, we all sat down and we were waiting for Jc to talk

"Well are you going to talk or not?" Connor asks coldly. I grabbed his hand so he would calm down. I felt him relax and Jc finally started to talk

"It wasn't me. I was in the hallway and she pushed me against the wall and kissed me. I tried to push her away but she was too strong. When I saw how upset you were. I knew I had fucked up. I am so so sorry Peyton. I didn't mean for any of that to happen. I don't like her. I like you." When he finishes he is crying. I let go of Connor and I walk over to Jc and I pull him into a hug

"Please don't cry Jc. Im not worth your tears. I believe you. Im sorry I got so upset. I forgive you." I say rubbing his back. He sniffles and nods

"Now where is that legendary Jc Caylen smile?" I ask poking his cheeks. He laughs and smiles

"There it is!" I say laughing.

I walk back over to Connor and I cuddle into his side. We end up playing Wii and I let Jc win a couple of rounds. I bet Jc that I could beat him in the next round. The loser has to but the winner lunch. I choose Rainbow Road because I know how much Kc hates that course. The race starts and I am already in first place, and Jc is in tenth.

I end up winning, but I don't let Jc buy me lunch. I hate when people buy things for me. I text Jenn because I haven't seen her in forever since she left for her tour. I catch her up on everything that went down in the past couple days. She seemed surprised by most of it but not by the whole Lia thing which Im not so surprised myself.

After we play Wii, I end up recording a cover video since I haven't done one in a long time. I decide to sing "Distance" by Jack and Jack. I hit the record button and start singing

"Missed calls and ignored texts and late night Im stayin' up stressin' girl i got you on my mind I swear this happens everytime. Yeah but what about our last fight....yeah I know it happened last...you can put that in the past right? im just tryna' live the fast life.

I finish off and I hear clapping coming from the doorway. I turn to see Connor standing in the doorway

"You have an amazing voice." He states

"Thanks Con." I reply

He walks up to me and kisses me on the head before asking me the question I have been dreading

"Peyton, will you be my girlfriend?" He asks
