(Peyton's P.o.v)
It's been a week since my dad escaped from prison. We have been doing everything possible to keep everyone safe. Trevor's mom buys up the food and brings it to us, so we barely leave the house. To be completely honest, I'm scared. I'm so scared that someone is going to get hurt just because they're my friend. I'm scared my dream about Jc getting shot is going to come true. Jc is worried about me. I don't really talk and it's bothering him. We weren't allowed to post videos or tweet, because my father could track us. I was scrolling through Netflix, when I heard a tap at my window. I got extremely scared and ran downstairs to where everyone was. They looked at me with worried filled eyes.
"Someone tapped on my window." I say shakily
"Stay here I'll go look." He says getting up. I grab his sleeve
"No Jc please don't. What if it's him?" I say worriedly
"It's better me than you." He says softly
"Jc please...stay here." I beg him
"Jc you stay. I will go." Sam volunteers.
Jc nods and sits back down. We watch as Sam disappears into my room. Moments later he walks down with a peice of paper in his hand. He sits down and reads the paper for what seems like hours before he finally speaks.
"No one was there, but I did find this note on your bed." He says handing me the slip of paper
''Read it aloud." Ali says
"Okay." I pause before looking down at the note
"What does it say?" Trevor asks
"I told you that I would find you." I say as tears brim my eyes
"We need to keep you safe." Jc says
"No shit, but you don't know her dad. We will never be safe until he's dead." Ali says. I just nod in agreement. We really aren't safe.
