(Peyton's P.o.v)
I woke up in a normal matter!which was unusual since Kian or Jc usually screams or does something to wake me up. I got out of bed and took a shower. I felt like being lazy today, so didn't put any makeup on. I pulled my hair into a messy bun and put on my "hipster" glasses and went downstairs.
When I walked into the room everyone's head snapped up and they just stared at me blankly and silently until Ali quickly looked up before she spoke
"Peyton go upstairs now." She says in a scared tone
"What no, why?" I ask
"Because. Please just go upstairs. And don't turn your tv on" she says getting up from the couch
"Please tell me what's going on." I beg
"Pey I can't right now...please, just go upstairs and lock your windows and your door. And please do not leave that room." She says in a shaky voice
"Okay okay. I'll go, but I'm getting food first." I say. She laughs slightly and helps me gather some food and drinks before we grad to my room.
"Please just tell my why I have to stay in here." I say while she locks my windows and the door behind her
"I can't right now...where's your phone and laptop?" She asks
"In my electronics drawer, why?" I ask as she rummages through my bedside dresser where I keep my electronics
"Because I'm not allowing you on any social medias." She says taking my phone, iPod, iPad, computer, and camera.
Before I can react, she puts them in a box before she quickly unlocks the door handing them to a crying Jc and he walks away without a word. What the hell is going on?!
"Ali what the hell is going on!?" I raise my voice
"Peyton I can't tell you right now, maybe in a hour or so...but not now." She says sadly
"Fine Ali. Don't fucking tell my why I have to be locked in my room for hours without any electronics." I say angrily
"Look Pey, I know you're mad. But when you know why I'm doing this, you'll understand." She says leaving the room
"But Ali p-" I'm cut off by a door being shut in my face.
I sigh and flop on my bed. I go into my closet and grab my guitar. I start to play and sing some of my favorite songs. I play 'Life of the Party, by Shawn Mendes. After I finish that song, I play 'Don't Stop' by 5 Seconds of Summer. I play about five more songs until I start to get hungry. I grab a can of Fanta and a bag of Cheetos. I grab a sharpie from by bedside table and I doodle a 'R' between the f and a in Fanta so it says Franta. Before I met Connor I always did this. I finish the chips and the drink. I had to use the restroom and Ali took all of my stuff, so I yelled down to her.
"ALI I HAVE TO PEE!" I scream
"OK GO PEE!" She yells back.
I unlock the door and I go to the bathroom before I run downstairs and jump on the couch.
"PLEASEEE let me stay down here. Whatever is going on just tell me or hide it."I beg her
"Okay fine, I'll just show you." She says reaching for the remote. She switches to a news channel. I watch for awhile before I finally see something I was dreading to ever see
"Pittsburgh prisoner Steven Myers recently broke out of jail. Authorities say that he was last seen roaming the streets of our very own city Los Angeles. He allegedly snuck onto a plane and flew over to our state. We have no idea what his motive is, but police suggest that you lock your doors and windows and stay inside. Be safe everyone. And back to you Jack." The news reporter states.
I sit there silently and I feel an hand rub my back. I flinch at the touch and I spring up from the couch I run to all of the doors and windows to make sure they're locked before I sit back down onto the couch.
"Are you okay?" Jc asks quietly
"I knew this would happen...but when he does find me, I'm not the one dying. He is." I state
"How do you know he's looking for you. And how does he know you're here?" Kian questions
"Why else would he be here. And ever since I was little I always dreamed of living here." I state
And at that moment...I knew I was lying. I knew I would die and I was terrified. Realization hit me. And it hit me hard. I felt tears burning my eyes as it got blurry. I broke down into sobs. He was coming after me...and I was going to die. I ran back up to my room and I slammed my door shut. I locked my door and slid down it before I completely broke down. Sobs racked my body and I shook violently as each sob hit me like and ocean wave. I finally started to calm down and my eyes started to get heavy with sleep. I walked to my bed and layer on it before I fell asleep. And so the war continues.
