>> i'm scared to know what's hidden in your darkness <<
[ANGEL]
I heard him grunt and he pushed me up against the wall next to the mysterious door.
It's like the first time I met him.
He forcefully pinned my hands up above my head with one hand and the other hand on my neck. His large hand wrapped around my neck, squeezing slightly. My breathing was erratic as my chest went up and down.
"I thought you were told to stay away from that door!" His voice was now louder than before.
I couldn't bring myself to say anything, I didn't know how to respond. All I managed to do was let out a shaky breath as I felt some warm tears roll down my cheeks.
He brought his head down so now his face was only a few inches away from mine. He stared into my eyes and I felt as if my knees were going to give out on me.
"You stay away from my bedroom and that other hallway. Understand?" He emphasized each word through gritted teeth.
I immediately started nodding my head, not wanting to make him more upset. I probably look so frightened. Well I am. Damn it!
He pressed harder on my wrists, probably leaving more evidence of pain.
"From now you'll call me Mr. Styles unless I tell you otherwise. " He brought his voice lower.
He looked my body up and down for a couple seconds making me shift uncomfortably under his gaze and hold. His eyes lazily traveled up my body once more before they stopped at my lips.
Before I could stop myself, I was also staring back at his lips. Due to the dim light I couldn't make out their exact shade but I could still see how plump they are.
It was silent except for our breathing. I gulped all of a sudden afraid. Is he going to... kiss me?
I quickly pushed that thought away. No.
After a couple more seconds of staring, that felt like hours, Johanna finally interrupted. She seemed to be humming something to herself before she stopped when she saw our position.
"Oh... sorry to interrupt but um breakfast is ready." She kept her voice soft, almost embarrassed.
Harry's large figure blocked my view from seeing Johanna but I noticed the smirk of his face grow wider. I could tell that only evil thoughts were trailing around in his mind.
I heard Johanna's footsteps go back down the stairs and away from us. Harry pushed his body away from me and left just like that, without saying a word. Before his figure could disappear from my view I heard him say, "Hurry down, don't want your food to get cold." his voice was almost mocking me.
I narrowed my eyes at him and felt the dry tears on my cheeks at the movement. I started walking, leaning my body against the wall as I did so. He made me feel so small and irrelevant and I couldn't figure out why he had such a huge affect on me.
I made it to the bathroom door and quickly forced myself inside and locking the door. I felt a little relieved even though he's downstairs and any second could barge through that bathroom door.
I leaned myself onto the sink counter and looked at myself in the mirror. I looked awful. My hair was a mess from being pushed up against the wall. My eyes were puffy from crying and the tear stains had turned white on my flushed cheeks.
I looked down at my arms and gasped at the purple marks on my skin. I had bruises at the top of my arms that were left by Josh the day this all started. Further down were the bruises Harry had just left on my wrists. I lightly traced my fingers over the marks, wincing at the pain.
I turned on the facet and splashed the cold water over my face hoping to look more refreshed. I wiped my face with a towel I found on a hanger next to the mirror. Looking back into the mirror I realized the water hadn't helped much. I sighed.
I opened the door and headed down the stairs. I realized it would be better for me to take a shower after breakfast instead of keeping Harry and Johanna waiting.
I got to the bottom of the stairs and turned into the direction of the kitchen. I looked around while walking, taking in the details I hadn't noticed before.
I walked into the kitchen, shyly, trying my best to avoid meeting Harry's eyes. I looked up at Johanna's direction and she gave me a sweet smile which I tried my best to return.
"I've served your breakfast here." she pointed to the island counter with the stools. Harry sat at the opposite end of the island eating his food quietly.
I sat down and began eating the eggs and bacon Johanna had made. I raised my eyebrows at how amazing the meal had tasted being one so simple to make.
I had only taken a few bites of my food when Harry got up from his seat and started making his way towards the kitchen door.
"Johanna, I'm going to get ready to head to the office. I'll most likely be there all day again." I couldn't tell what he was doing since my back was turned to him as I sat in the chair but his voice was expressionless.
His heavy footsteps left the room and I felt the most relaxed I had felt since I got here. I let out a heavy sigh, earning a giggle from Johanna. I looked up from my plate and furrowed my eyebrows.
"What?" I asked, entertained by her laugh.
She shook her head, "Don't let him intimidate you so much. He's a wonderful man once you get to know him."
I took in her words. Of course she can say that, she's known him his whole life. Plus he definitely didn't treat her the way he treated me.
"Maybe I don't want to get to know him..." was all I could reply.
