[HARRY]

"Mum, we have to leave soon." I nagged as she continued her what seemed like an endless conversation with Johanna.

She turned to me with a raised eyebrow, "Well, I haven't been over in a while..." and she turned around back to her previous conversation. I rolled my eyes and slumped my shoulders back, waiting until she'd be ready to leave. We had an agreement to visit the hospital every week but I've been a bit distracted and putting it off ever since I brought Angel over.

While impatiently tapping my foot against the tile floor I glanced over at the clock to see that we have to leave in 5 minutes if we want to make it on time.

I heard gentle footsteps approaching the room and I tensed up when I realized it was Angel coming and I've still to tell my mum about her. Not that it's important that I mention her...

"Good morning-" She didn't finish her sentence and froze when she saw my mother. I had to admit, the expression on her face was priceless and I had to purse my lips in order to contain my laughter.

My mum turned around at the unfamiliar voice, to her, and scrunched up her face with confusion when her eyes landed on Angel. They both looked at each other before I decided to finally break the awkward silence.

"Mum, this is Angel... she's a friend... that's visiting," I lied. I gave Angel a death glade so she'd go with it and I'm guessing she got the clear message since she went with it. She put on an unsure smile as my mother stretched out to shake her hand. They quietly greeted each other before falling silent again.

I looked back and forth between them and cleared my throat, "Mum, we should get going," She nodded her head and got up from her seat to exchange a kiss on the cheek with Johanna.

"Angel, it was very nice meeting you. I hope I'll get to see you again." Her voice was sweet as she gave Angel a genuine smile. I escorted my mother out the house without another word.

We got in the car and I began to drive as soon as we were both with our seat belts on. It was silent the first couple minutes of the drive and even though it was an awkward silence I preferred it over having to talk about Angel. But of course that didn't last.

"So who is she?" From her tone I could tell she had a cheeky eyebrow raised. I kept my eyes on the road instead of looking over at her which would make this conversation worse.

"I told you she's a friend." I tried to keep my voice as expressionless as possible.

"Harry..." She pushed.

"It's not important." I simply answered. Another silence took over and this time I thought it would last until we arrived at the hospital but I was once again wrong.

"Why is she staying at your house? How'd she get here anyway? She's American, right?"

I rolled my eyes at her annoying questions. "Once again not important, mum." Thankfully, just as I finished my sentence, I pulled up into the hospital's parking lot.

I parked the car and quickly got out to walk ahead of my mother before she could ask me anymore questions before we got inside.

I walked straight to the front desk, "We're here to visit Gemma Styles." The receptionist gave me a smile as she turned to her computer screen while my mother walked up to my side.

"Yes, Mr. Styles I'm sure you remember her room number. You two can walk right ahead." Her voice was very calm.

My mother and I walked side to side in silence down the various hallways until we reached Gemma's room. Once the door opened and I caught the slightest glimpse of her my heart dropped and I thought to myself just how was I able to go a month without visiting.
