>> without you here life is just a lie <<

[ANGEL]

"Come here baby," Harry cooed as he grabbed our girl when she began to crawl away. He picked her from the green lawn and placed her down onto his lap as she wrapped her tiny hand around his finger. All our close friends and family were gathered around in our backyard having a cookout. It seemed kind of like a pointless gathering, since there was nothing to celebrate but little did they know.

I gave birth to Lynn Anne Styles a little over a year ago and I may be bias but she's the cutest baby I've ever laid my eyes on. She has Harry's mesmerizing green eyes, curly brown hair like the both of us, my nose and his adorable dimples. She was the sweetest baby and although Harry and I were both hesitant about becoming parents, more him than me, we couldn't be happier now with our small family. I remember Harry being insecure about being a horrible father, due to his own experience, but he's been nothing but an amazing father to Lynn and an incredible partner to me.

It's been two years since our incident with James; he's gone off to jail and hasn't been heard of since. Life went back to normal after that except knowing that I was pregnant but managed through and now we have a healthy, beautiful baby girl.

About a month after finding out I was pregnant, Gemma miraculously woke up from her coma. It was the most I've ever seen Harry cry, of course they were tears of joy but in general he's never cried like that. It was honestly a miracle that she did wake up, from a ridiculously long time but everyone was ecstatic when she did. She's been in therapy ever since and it's a shame that she's missed out on so much but she's adjusting and getting better.

I've gotten the chance to get to know her and Anne better as well. They're both lovely women and I'm so happy to have them as the aunt and grandmother to my child.

Niall and Denise finally started dating after I set them up. If I hadn't they'd probably still be flirting with each other and not making a move. It's been almost a year since they officially started dating and they're the cutest couple, after Harry and I of course. I watched them with a smile on my face as they sat across from us, holding hands and eating their food.

Gemma, Anne and Johanna sat on the couch next to me, chatting away on who knows what. Louis sat next to Harry, playing with Lynn as they talked about what I could only assume was business.

Louis hasn't changed much, although I've seen him flirting with one of the lady's that works at the company building as an assistant so I hope that leads somewhere for him. He's become like a brother for me and I only want what's best for him.

We'd been sitting out here for the past couple hours, eating and talking amongst ourselves yet no one knows the real reason why I wanted to get everyone together. It's time.

I stood up, grabbing Harry's hand to follow me before he handed Lynn over to his mother.

"What are you doing?" He laughed lightly, everyone turning to watch us. I foolishly grinned as I reach behind a small table to grab a tiny box I had hiding there. It was all wrapped up in white wrapping paper and a light yellow bow. I walked back over to where Harry was still standing and I handed him the box without a word. He looked down at it confused but with a shy smile on his face when he looked back up at me. I nodded my head and he began untying the ribbon.

I impatiently watched him as I felt butterflies in my stomach and fiddled with my thumbs. He pulled the ribbon off and gently took off the lid, peering into the small box. His eyebrows scrunched up as he looked at me with his lips parted.

"Angel..." He whispered and all I could do was nod my head, my wide smile never leaving my face. He pulled out the white baby rattle from the box and held it up in his hand, everyone gasping when they spotted it. Even with everyone there it still felt like it was only Harry and I in the moment. I saw tears well up in his beautiful green irises before he pulled me into a hug, lifting me off my feet and spinning us around.

"I love you so fucking much, Angel." He continuously whispered in my ear as he set me down but neither one us let go from the hug. We both held each other tightly as my tears rolled down my cheeks and I kissed his jaw. We pulled away once we realized everyone had gotten up, cheering and congratulating us.

Looking around at everyone and everything we have, I couldn't be more grateful for everything that's led up to this moment. Looking back, no matter the horrible situations I've been in, I'd do it all again if it meant being this happy with the people I love.

I picked up Lynn from Anne's arms and Harry came right to my side. "You're going to have a baby brother or sister." He cooed and of course she only giggled as she didn't understand a word he just said. He looked down at me with a smile along his lips and pressed a gentle but passionate kiss to my mine, reminding me of every reason why I love him.

Soon enough everyone went home, leaving Harry and I to clean up outside. Anne took Lynn to spend the weekend with her so it was just the two of us.

We walked hand in hand around the house toward the front, sitting at the steps and watching the sunset.

"How long have you known?" He ask calmly.

"I took the pregnancy test a couple days ago." I smiled, remembering the excitement I felt when I saw the double lines.

His arm wrapped around my shoulders as I snuggled closer to his body and resting my head on his chest. It was quiet but a comfortable quiet while the sky slowly turned from pick and yellow to blue. As I stared off at the distance in front of us I was distracted by a familiar black car slowly driving by the front gate of our house. I wouldn't have been concerned if it weren't driving by so slowly and yet I couldn't make out a figure inside the car.

"Harry..." I whispered and pointed out to the car. "Isn't that like the car James had?"

We both sat up and he looked over at the car with furrowed eyebrows. It can't be James; he's still in jail like he's been for the past two years and there's no way he'd be out.

"No, darling. You're just paranoid." He stood up and gently pulled me up with him. I watched as the car disappeared away from our view while Harry brought me into his warm embrace. All my worry washed away when he reassuringly rubbed his hand up and down my side. Somehow he managed to always make me feel safe and protected and erase all my worry.

"I love you," I looked up at him.

He leaned down, pressing out foreheads together before smiling, "I love you more."

THE END.
