Chapter one
I stood in the mirror looking at my reflection. The bags under my eyes had been hidden by tons of the expensive cover up my aunt had bought me when I moved. My bloodshot eyes had been tamed with eye drops of some sort, my unruly hair had been tamed with a hairbrush and blow drier also courtesy of my generous aunt. My skinny body still hadn't filled out, you could still see my ribs, and my hip bones stuck out too far. I pulled on my bra and panties thanking god that I had been gifted with large breasts. Through everything, my breasts stayed as though they couldn't part with me.
I covered my disgusting body with skinny jeans that made it look like I had an ass, and a tank top.
I grabbed the black backpack and my band t shirt before running down stairs. My aunt Kaity sat at the dinning room table with my father and brother. They were the only three that had stuck with me, besides Adrian. My mother left when I was twelve. I overheard her telling dad that I was too much stress the night before she left. Dad tried to tell me she went on vacation but I knew the truth. She had left, and she wouldn't be back.
My brother stood up from the table and handed me my medicine before shouldering my bag. I rolled my eyes and kissed my dad and aunt goodbye before running outside while pulling on the avenged sevenfold shirt.
My brother, always the gentleman opened my door for me and helped me in before hopping into the drivers side and speeding off.
"How are you feeling Meg?" Josh asked.
I shrugged, not wanting to tell him the truth.
"Really?"
I shrugged again, looking out the window. The rest of the ride to school was silent, until he parked in a spot as close to the front as he could get. I placed my hand on his shoulder as he was getting out.
"Do me a favor, Josh," I muttered. "Enjoy our last year in highschool. You're a senior, you deserve to be able to have fun, be a kid, make mistakes."
"But what about you Ara? You're my twin, I refuse to leave you behind." Josh growled. I was frowning at him when my door was opened and I was tugged into a hug. Warm familiar arms held me tight and I smiled. Adrian chuckled into my hair as I tried to tickle him.
"Someone's been working out." I muttered sarcastically.
"Is it that obvious?" Adrian whispered back.
I whispered a 'yes' in reply. It was true. Adrian had filled out. He went from being a scrawny little boy to being a tall muscular man.
"You need a hair cut!" I said while playfully ruffling his long locks of dark brown hair.
"Shut up." Adrian said just as Josh walked over to us. "Let's go get our schedules."
It wasn't until we got to the front of the school that I noticed people staring at us. I took out a black bandana and put it on.
"I thought you broke that habit."
"I only wear them in large crowds when I feel like people are staring." I mumbled trying to hide my face in his armpit.
"It's a good thing I remembered my deodorant this morning, isn't it?" Adrian said. I smacked his stomachs playfully and ended up hurting myself.
Josh held the door to the school open and we filed inside. It seemed as though everyone's attention was immediately on us.
"Welcome to South Mandarin High. Is this your first day?" Some peppy girl asked my brother. He smiled at her and shook his head yes. "Awesome! My names Kate, can I do anything for you?" She asked as she linked her hand through my brothers. He immediately let her go before asking how we got to the office.
"Follow me."
We followed Kate down a long silent hallway filled with students before she turned into an office and left us. "Catch ya later."
The three of us, andrian josh and I turned to the lady working the front desk. She smiled, and placed three packets on the counter in front if her.
"This ones for Josh Williams. The green ones for Adrian Michaels, and the blue one on the end is for Megara Williams. Inside you'll find your schedules, a map of the school, your locker number and codes, and safety information. I hope you have a wonder filled day here at South Mandarin." She said. "Oh! Wait a minute. Megara, Adrian, your teachers have all been informed of your situation and if you need to take some time away for any need, your school work will be dropped off at your house by one of our staff."
"Thanks." I mumbled.
Adrian's arm tightened around my shoulders, and he kissed my forehead.
"I know you don't like people knowing about us, but we had to tell them." Adrian muttered.
"I know." I whispered while opening my dark blue folder. "My locker is number 128."
"Mines right next to yours." Adrian and Josh said at the same time.
"How do you know that?"
"Because they're all right here." Adrian said.
I turned to the side and noticed the large 128 on the red locker. I put in my combination and quickly put my medicine inside the locker.
Adrian shoved notebooks and stuff inside his locker and slammed it shut before putting my notebooks in my locker and handing me my light weight backpack. I smiled before looking at my schedule.
"Looks like we have most of our classes together." Josh noted. I looked up and cringed. People were still staring. My nerves got the best of me and I swallowed the bile that tried to escape.
"I've been around you too long to not know what that look means. Do you need a bathroom?" Josh whispered. I covered my eyes and hid in Adrian's shoulder. It was a hard task, Adrian is well over 6 feet tall, and at 5 feet 4 inches I'm not exactly a giant.
I noticed the Kate girl standing in a large group, all of them staring at us. But one caught my attention. His eyes held me captive in their icy depths. A deep midnight blue enraptured me. No, they looked a little grey. He smiled at me, as I blushed. He had strong features, a strong body. His black hair was long, just past his shoulders, and his beard was growing in. He wasn't exactly trying a mountain man style, it was rugged, and sexy. His full lips turned up in a smirk, as he crossed his large arms over his large chest. This had to be the biggest man I had ever seen. The sexiest man too.
Adrian pulled me closer as a bell rang.
"Hey, need help finding your class?" A girl asked. "My name is Evelyn. I was new last year and it's almost like everyone shuns you until you make friends. And it's hard to make friends here."
I smiled at her before handing her the paper with my schedule. She studied it for a minute before taking me hand and pulling me down the hallway. Adrian and Josh followed us until Evelyn stopped in front of a door.
"This is our first class, it's trig." She said.
I followed her into the class and took a seat in the very back. Adrian followed next to me, and Josh left for his own class. A few minutes later the teacher walked in and looked right at me. "I understand we have two new students, why don't you stand up and introduce yourselves." He said.
I stood slowly and gave a shy smile. "My names Megara, but I like to go by Ara."
Adrian stood next to me, one seat over. "Adrian." He said bluntly.
"Where did you move from?" Someone asked.
"We both moved from Wisconsin."
"Why?"
"We were tired of our old home." Adrian answered.
"Is that hot guy your brother?"
"Are you two dating?"
"I heard they moved because their parents were cousins and they were made fun of for being in breeds."
"Josh is my twin, and no, our parents are in no way related." I replied.
"Alright, no more questions right now. Time to start class...."
