Chapter eleven

I stuffed my face. I’m not even exaggerating. The whole lunch table stared at me in awe as I ate four slices of pizza, and I shrugged. Grayson was staring at my stomach, and I frowned.

“Hungry there sis?” Josh asked. I gave him a toothy smile in return.

“Leave her alone. She’s finally eating something.” Grayson added. I stood up to leave, and tugged my baggy shirt down. I’m not sure how many people had noticed, but I had to start wearing loose shirts. I was scared someone would notice my baby bump.

“Wait! You’re still going to be a driver for our trip over to Cali right?” Ariel asked.

“Of course, I told you I’d go didn’t I?”

“Awesome! Can you come over tonight? We can go shopping for some new outfits and get our nails and hair done.” Eve said. I nodded my head yes before heading to the bathroom. That was another thing. I was peeing so much more often. This car ride was going to kill me.

In art class Ms. Scone had us draw something on our minds, and give it to someone. There was only one thing on my mind right now. My two little beans.

So I drew them. Well, I started off with the female body, making sure I got the shape right, then I added two babies into the woman’s stomach. I added the mothers organs where they’d end up, and by the time I finished coloring it was the end of class. I signed my name and rolled up the poster to take home. Grayson handed me his drawing on my way out the door, but I didn’t open it until I got home that afternoon. It’s a good thing I didn’t because tears came to my eyes.

Two little faces, one boy and one girl stared up at me. They had a mix between Grayson and I’s features, and I loved it. I took the picture and tacked it to my wall next to the other pictures Grayson had drawn me. I proceeded to change into the only pair of black shorts that fit me anymore, and a loose black tank top.

I drove over to Grayson’s house and walked through the front door like Eve had told me to do. However, instead of going to the girls’ room, I made a detour to the kitchen to sate my growling stomach. I opened the fridge door and cringed before opening the freezer. I snatched the ice cream tub out of the freezer and began scooping large spoonful’s into a bowl. Hands settled on my waist as I struggled, and deep laughter sounded in my ear.

“Allow me.” He whispered. His hands pushed mine out of the way and he began scooping ice cream for me. I leaned against his strong chest and sighed.

“I’m sorry- no I’m sorry – you go first-” we said at the same time. Laughter followed before he took the ice cream tub and put it away. I began munching on the sweet goodness right away. Grayson laughed at my expression, and waited for me to finish before taking the spoon and bowl away and setting it on the counter. He knelt down in front of me, pulling my shirt up. I gasped as his cold hands settled on my stomach, but sighed as they quickly became warm with skin to skin contact.

“I love you. I love all three of you so much. My babies, their mother. I feel so lucky to have you in my life.” He said. His large hands cradled my baby bump, and he kissed all over.

“I love you too.” I muttered. He stood swiftly and kissed me roughly. I was lifted onto the counter and Grayson stepped between my legs. His hands were still on my hips, and when I tried to get closer, he pulled away.

“I don’t want to hurt them.” He explained.

“You don’t want to hurt who?” Ariel asked as she came into the kitchen.

“Uh, I don’t want to hurt my parents’ feelings when I tell them that I’m moving out.” Grayson said.

“You are?” Eve asked.
